Bench Test Results: Molicel P26A (2021-dated) - 35A 2600mAh 18650

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They should never be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

Test Results
It has been three years since I tested the Molicel P26A. With the 2021-dated cells being available I wanted to see if any changes in their performance has occurred over that time.

All genuine 2021-dated P26A’s should have an “L” as the second character in the date code on the wrap. If it has a “K” that is a cell manufacturered in 2020, “J” = 2019, “I” = 2018, etc.

I’m happy to report that the 2021-dated Molicel P26A’s are still one of the best all-around 18650’s you can buy, a great choice for almost any use from 5A-25A.

The 2021 cells ran the same or a touch better than the 2018 cells I tested three years ago. The 2021 cells ran at a slightly higher voltage at the start due to, I believe, the slightly lower DC internal resistance I measured (causing less voltage sag).

This cell has 35A “maximum discharging current” rating in the datasheet with an 80°C limit. This means Molicel says you can use the cell at up to 35A if you do not let it get hotter than 80°C (very hot).

This is not a true continuous current rating you can use to compare against other cells. The P26A will get almost hot enough to boil water if run continuously at 35A down to its 2.5V cutoff. In my opinion Molicel rated this cell for its intended use in power tools and other applications where the cells are used only for short periods of time at high current levels.

So while you can run this cell for short periods at 35A I recommend staying at 25A or lower to help improve performance (reduce voltage sag), extend cell life, and reduce risk.

The two cells I tested delivered 2654mAh and 2667mAh, exceeding Molicel’s 2600mAh typical capacity rating. This is great consistency.

Two cells were purchased for testing by me from 18650BatteryStore (18650 Battery Store - Lithium Ion Batteries, Chargers and Accessories).

Vaping stories from the good old days

I stopped in my regular vape shop on Thursday to see what's up. There was a picture up on the wall with a group of people posing with their vapes. I recognized that one person in the photo was actually in the shop. So naturally I had to ask him about it. The photo was from 2015 and they had cloud competitions at that place back then. He liked that I was toking on an RDA on a mech mod, so we had a pretty interesting conversation. Unfortunately I didn't enter the vaping scene until about 2018-2019 and missed out on the good times. I would love to have a social outlet about vaping. Fortunately the ECF is that social outlet for me.

I'm sure that some of the old timers on this forum may have some interesting stories from the good old days of vaping.

Anyone?

Today I’m pleased to have the opportunity to present my review on the Freemax Maxus Solo 100W kit that was sent to me by Freemax in order to provide a fair and honest review. The Maxus Solo mod can use 18650/20700/21700 batteries to provide an output range of 5-100 watts while providing .7 - 7.5V. The onboard charging is 5v/2A using a USB-C charging cable. It features the FMOS 3.0 and FM Chip 3.0. It has a 1.06” OLED display screen and has Novel mood lighting with different options that I will talk more about later. The tank included in the kit is the Fireluke Solo with an 810 drip tip and a child safe fill cap. It adopts the FM COILTECH 5.0 which is a new mesh technology. It has a capacity of 5ml. Well, before I give too much information, let’s see the package contents and take a look at the features via the promotional images then I’ll give my opinions on it.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Solo is nice and colorful to grab your attention with the different colored lines simulating laser lights on the front. There is a sketch of the device, a sticker indicating the color of the device inside, of course the name of the product and a list of some features on the right side of the face. The back of the outer sleeve has a list of contents, specifications on the mod and tank, an authenticity code, and a nice little color picture of the device.

Once the outer sleeve and box top are removed, the face of the mod, the Fireluke Solo tank, and spare glass are exposed with a package of o rings inside the glass. Underneath is a box containing the 18650 battery adapter, USB-C charging cable, warranty card, user manual, and spare coil. I think it’s really nice how the front is clear and the electronics can be seen through the face of the mod.

The top of the mod has four torx screws that hold the top in place. This is a little different from what I’ve become used to seeing where there is a metal 510 plate that is held in with screws. Instead on this one the 510 connection must be secured inside the mod. That’s my guess at least. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. The 510 center pin is spring loaded and gold plated. Perhaps the ring around the 510 opening is threaded and threads onto the lower portion of the 510 connector. I’m probably not going to try to take it apart to see.

upload_2022-4-30_20-12-32.png

The battery is inserted through the bottom by pushing the door open sideways in the direction of the arrow molded into the base. The inside of the battery opening has a large red + sign and you can’t really see it in my picture but there is a – sign on the bottom side of the door which is visible after opening it.

upload_2022-4-30_20-13-18.png

upload_2022-4-30_20-13-41.png

On the right side of the mod is the lock/unlock slide switch which allows the user to quickly lock the device before putting it in a pocket. There are four diagonal grooves molded into the side of the mod that I think have no other purpose besides aesthetics.

The left side has the Freemax name on it along with the same four grooves as the right side had. From either picture you can see the dark cover over the back. This is where the magic happens. If you so choose, you can have LEDs that will illuminate a really cool pattern on the back of the mod as well as light up the front where the electronics can be seen. I’ll get into the options of the LED lights when I talk about the menu system. The back does have the words Maxus Solo on the back of the mod.

upload_2022-4-30_20-15-22.png

The front of the Solo has a fairly large fire button near the top. I personally have experienced some awkwardness pressing the fire button. I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that I don’t have large hands and the mod is a little bit deeper than I’m used to or what. I would like it better if the fire button stood out further away from the body of the mod. I did finally figure out the when thumb firing that if I used the side of my thumb that it was easier to fire for me.

Below the fire button is the large display screen. In my picture the LED lights are turned on but you can turn them off if you like. I just thought it would make for a good picture. The information on the display is as follows.

- Battery level indicator and coil resistance

- Puff counter

- Set wattage or temperature depending on output mode selected

- Mode of operation

- Normal, Sport, Eco output

- Voltage output while firing

- Settings(once selected it takes you into the menu system)

Below the display screen are the + and – buttons followed by the USB-C charging port which offers a standard charging rate of 5v/2A.

The button operation on the Solo is fairly simple but there are a lot of available settings. You can choose to use them all or not. They are as follows.

- Press the fire button 5X to turn the mod on/off

- Press the + and – buttons to lock the wattage adjustment

- Press the fire button 3X to highlight the mode of operation. From there you can either change the mode by pressing the fire button again and then use the + and – buttons to choose between Power(Normal, Sport, Eco), TC(316SS, Ni, Ti, TCR(TCR1,2,3)

- Press the fire button 3X to highlight the mode of operation but instead of changing the mode as described above, use the + and – buttons to scroll through to select either Normal, Sport, or Eco. Once that is set if you choose, scroll to settings and press the fire button then this will bring you to the main menu which will give you the following options

1. Coil Test

2. Timeout

3. Theme color

4. LED on/off

5. LED control

6. F/C

7. Puff reset

8. Time reset

9. Reset(factory defaults)

10. Exit

There is a lot you can do with this mod if you choose to. It’s nice to have the options. You may or may not use them all. Now let’s take a look at the Fireluke Solo Tank that was included with the kit along with the two coils.

First off, I always clean any tank that I receive before using it. I saw a post today where someone got a new tank and was getting that old familiar machine oil taste. A drop of dish soap and some hot water can make a big difference. Even if you’re mixing your own liquid, who wants to waste a whole tank of liquid because you didn’t clean the tank? Also, it can leave that taste in the coil so you’ve probably wasted a coil also.

The drip tip included with the Fireluke Solo tank is an 810 tip and comfortable to use in my opinion. To fill the tank it’s a little different than what you might be used to. Instead of a screw off top cap, you lift and slide the top cap sideways to expose the fill port. There is a gasket but it doesn’t seal the tank from leaking if you tip it while filling. I honestly am glad. I really don’t care for the completely sealed gaskets over the fill ports.

The tank comes with the bubble glass installed and comes with a spare. The base of the tank has a single gold plated contact in the center to make connection with the coils which are just a push in style. The base also has two large horizontal airflow slots and there is a positive stop.

The Solo kit comes with two different coils. One is the FL2 .2ohm mesh coil rated at 50-80 watts and the other is the new FL1-D mesh coil at .15 ohms and rated 50-80 watts. It uses the new CoilTech 5.0 technology and is being called the Double-D Mesh coil. If it’s Double-D then it’s got to be good right? It boasts fast and even heating while maximizing the surface area to provide exceptional flavor. It has a parallel mesh structure and uses an upgrade tea fiber cotton. The coil is made of SS904L so you can use it in temperature control if you so choose.

I didn’t try the .15 coil in temperature control but it did perform very well using it with a DIY mix that I use quite often for reviews. I ended up running it at 70 watts although 80 watts is the supposed best setting. I have come to expect exceptional flavor production from Freemax coils after previous experience testing them on different kits. I was not disappointed. The flavor production was very good while the amount of vapor was large.

The .2 ohm coil was very good also and felt like I got just as good of flavor production from this one as I did with the .15 ohm DD coil. I did however run this one at 60 watts instead of 70 like the other coil. Freemax really has this flavor production thing down. I can’t remember ever trying any of their coils that didn’t provide exceptional flavor. At least not since I started doing reviews for them. I really don’t know that I tried any prior to that.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

It has been a real pleasure testing the the Freemax Maxus Solo 100W Kit. The kit is packed with features. Among them are the new Coiltech 5.0 Double –D Mesh technology that provides very good flavor production. It might not be a feature that everyon will like but the mod does provide Novel Mood lighting where you can choose from 9 default color choices or change the RGB values to make DIY colors. The tank is ISO 8317 Child Resistant Certified where you have to lift and slide the top cap in order to fill the tank. It worked very well and was not difficult to open the top cap. Yet another feature is the 1.06” OLED display screen that offers five different themes as well as random color options available to change the UI color. The display is bright and vibrant and I found it easy to read.

I have to admit that I really don’t have anything negative to say about this kit. The only thing that I experienced that seemed off was at first I found the fire button to be a little awkward but feel that was attributed to having small hands and the mod being a little wide. After some use I found it comfortable to fire with the side of my thumb due to my hand placement while holding the mod. I did not like firing with my index finger at all.

I’d like to thank Freemax for sending the Maxus Solo 100W kit for this review. As usual, it has been a pleasure testing another Freemax product. Also thanks to you the readers that always make to the end of my reviews. Below is a link to the website so you can take a look for yourself.

No Nicotine {0mg} Vaping - Is it for you?

Nicotine is a drug - But it is drug that may have some beneficial effects on say the mind.
On the other hand, especially if you have health issues such as high blood pressure or any
type of cardiovascular {heart} issues, it can be dangerous and detrimental. Research that
I've done shows that even in that case vaping is probably less dangerous than any type of
lit tobacco product, especially cigarettes.

Recently I've had some issues that would indicate I'd be better off without nicotine. Still you have the anti vaping cartels who want you to believe that vaping even with 0mg nicotine is dangerous. Is it? Let's look at some science based studies:

Electronic Cigarette Use and the Risk of Cardiovascular Diseases

"..........To differentiate the vascular effects of nicotine and carriers, a single-blind crossover design study was performed with patients exposed to vaping without nicotine, vaping with nicotine, and sham-vaping. Results from these clinical studies showed that nicotine from e-cigarettes reduced microvessel endothelial function, increased arterial stiffness, and triggered an increase in plasma myeloperoxidase (43). Nicotine-free e-cigarettes did not change microcirculatory function as well as arterial stiffness and oxidative stress markers (43). In healthy volunteers, two biomarkers for heightened vascular risk, microvesicles, and endothelial progenitor cells, were increased following exposure to e-cigarettes (180), and these effects were shown to be dependent on nicotine (181)..........."

Electronic Cigarette Use and the Risk of Cardiovascular Diseases

It's a long article and I'm still reading it - It's full of facts instead of the BS that the antis
keep posting - And from what I've read so far, most negative effects, especially in some people prone to being so effected, say with high blood pressure, or any heart issues, are mainly from the nicotine, though I've read some flavors, such as cinnamon and vanillin,
may also be of concern because of by products produced when vaped.

As far as to whether you can switch to 0mg nicotine - If you are already at a low level
nicotine level anyway you might find it easy - I did, and some flavors taste even better without the nicotine !

Does NOT fit into:
1. Pulse AIO - will NOT fit even with the contact screwed all the way down. Tried it on two different ones.
2. SXK DNA-60 BB – will NOT fit. Tried it on two mods (both were 2022 batches)

DOES fit into:
1. Billet Box – will fit in a 2022 BB but it’s very tight. Pic below of it in a Dober BB
2. Cthulhu AIO – fits comfortably (pic below)
3. Ambition Mods/Sunbox V2 – fits comfortably, but sometimes it will not make connection if the raised 510 nut is used. Works reliably with a flush nut. (pic below)

Price is $45 including First Class shipping with tracking. Insurance is optional – available at cost.

Payment by PayPal F&F. Please no notes, mention of vaping, etc.

► Aspire Upgrade Brand, Upgrade Experience:
Between the end of April and the beginning of May, Aspire is planning several releases of new devices of great strategic importance for the brand. The Shenzhen giant invests heavily in research and development. So she has committed to cooperate with different design companies to make new product design even more fashionable. Aspire is also very attentive to the marketing side and to all aspects concerning it ... Therefore, in conjunction with the arrival on the market of Vilter-S, Aspire is proud to announce the renewal of the Company look through a new Logo.

"Our professional profile has grown and evolved over the past 13 years and now is the time for a change. We have changed our logo to reflect who we are today and to symbolize our dynamic future."

"Our creative team constructs the initial letter" a "of the brand based on the pictographic concept and transforms it into a clever combination of digital symbols of" 0 "and" 1 ". This" 0 to 1 "creativity implies that the Our brand takes critical steps in the global e-cigarette industry through breakthroughs and innovations from an initial concept leading to the market, through color combination, design beauty and creativity of symbols. Our new logo represents the relationship between the two. entity: technology and Aspire. This must represent the very idea that Aspire is the bridge that connects human beings to innovative technology. "

After these nice words, I felt compelled to dedicate some space to this new rebrand for a sincere wish to Aspire to continue riding the wave of success and to always bring serious innovation, the brand is of absolute prestige. and I like the new Logo, I am convinced that this detail will soon become "familiar" to all of us.

► Aspire Vilter S Pod Mod Kit; First impressions:
For this test I received the black version with an elegant oxidation polishing process performed on the aluminum alloy body and which goes well with the dark colored PCTG cartridge. Regarding the tactile Feeling of Vilter S, what was previously said with Vilter Original can be absolutely confirmed. Holding the flat profile of Aspire's Vilter S between your fingers is like handling a feather! Its highly ergonomic design satisfies me a lot, there is not much to add to the great handling of this ultra portable system.

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-8.jpg

The admirers of the brand who have been able to appreciate the original Vilter will certainly appreciate the entry on the market of the Vilter S which, like the progenitor, maintains the same compact dimensions, automatic shooting and sturdy aluminum alloy construction. Furthermore Vilter S shares with the original Vilter the same cartridge that can accommodate paper filters to give the effect of holding a real cigarette in the mouth, however the Kit includes a 510 drip-tip with double o-ring that will surely offer an experience of the most classic vape. So where is the news? The changes compared to the original Vilter are very important; Vilter S now has a more powerful battery (500mAh) and a small, very bright and easily readable display that replaces the previous LED indications. So now with the display it is possible to always keep under control the battery charge level, the Puff counter, the mode in use and the duration of the last Puff. Furthermore, with the presence of the Fire key and with 5 clicks we can turn on / off Vilter, or change the extraction mode in use with 3 clicks, choosing between; automatic activation (A), manual activation (B), manual activation + automatic activation (AB).

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-9.jpg

The extremely clean and simple design of this device is further embellished by the display, by the new Aspire "OI" logo and by the new "Vilter S" writing, both in white. On both flattened sides there is a micro hole for the passage of air towards the coil, therefore a fixed and non-adjustable system but highly effective for the MTL vape (as in the original Vilter). On one of the two flattened sides there is the Fire Button with a slight protrusion useful for its tactile identification. On the other side is the 1A USB-C charging socket to fully charge the mod in 40 minutes

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-10.jpg

On the bottom of the compartment / pod there are the automatic puff activation sensor and two gold / plated contact pins. The two circular-shaped magnets firmly hold the cartridge to the Mod.

On the bottom of the Mod we can read; the place of origin, the disposal logo and the C E brand. The incredible thing is that I can recharge the very light Vilter-S (with the cable connected to the PC) standing up and without having to lay it down.

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-11.jpg

► Aspire Vilter S Pod Mod Kit; Refillable cartridge:
The Pod system made of PCTG contains 2ml of e-liquid, the disposable cartridge incorporates a non-replaceable 1.0Ω Mesh-coil with a range of use from 10 to 15W managed automatically by the battery.
The 510 drip-tip in Pet with its two orings is quite firm once inserted in its housing, the same thing can be said for the paper filter supplied in the kit.
Refilling is done from below, filling the cartridge couldn't be easier. Just remove the pod from the device, open the bottom seal and inject your favorite liquid using a thin tip dispenser!
The magnets on the bottom of the cartridge are mirrored to those on the bottom of the compartment / pod and ensure a strong magnetic connection.

► Aspire Vilter-PB (Power Bank); Packaging:
On the front of the white package we find; the new "OI" logo by Aspire, an adhesive label with the color of this sample, a double image of Vilter PB and the silver writing "Vilter-PB You Daily Vape Partner".

On the back there are; general notices, content, address of Shenzhen Eigate Technology Co., Ltd. Logos and trademarks of the law.

On the remaining sides of the box we find; Batch number, hologram, scratch & Check, a complete image of Vilter-PB and some icons containing the main features of the product.

► Vilter-PB (Power Bank); First impressions:
Aspire's Vilter Powerbank is brilliant in many ways! The Powerbank is built in durable aluminum alloy + magnetic sleeve covered in leather and is compatible with the Vilter and the new Vilter S. It has a Type C connection to house and recharge Vilter and Vilter S inside.
Vilter Powerbank with its valuable magnetic sleeve perfectly encloses Vilter Pod and with this configuration it assumes a true Box Mod appearance. So we get a beautiful and light Pod that turns into Mod to provide the user with a great reserve of energy!

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-17.jpg

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-18.jpg

The direct charging of the Powerbank takes place via a USB-C / 2A cable and takes about 50 minutes, it is also possible to recharge the powerbank and Vilter pod simultaneously. In the upper part a circular button with LED (it looks like the Fire button of a Mod) interfaces with the chip and allows you to view the charge level of PB and Vilter Pod according to the color of the LED. With three clicks we can activate or deactivate the powerbank mode (green ON), (Red OFF). While charging the powerbank, the LED flashes red when the charge is between 0 and 30%, flashes blue between 30 and 50%, flashes white between 70 and 100% and turns green when charging is complete, flashing 5 times. By inserting the device into the power bank, the LED flashes red / blue / green / white for 10 seconds and according to the charge level of the device. When the device is fully charged and is extracted from the powerbank, the LED flashes red / blue / green / white and according to the charge level of the powerbank.
Naturally the powerbank has the AS chipset with all the necessary safety protections which are signaled by the LED integrated in the button with different combinations of flashes and colors.

Aspire-Vilter-S-Vilter-PB-Power-Bank-19.jpg

Vilter S & Vilter-PB (Powerbank); Final conclusions:
The Vilter S device with the increased battery capacity (500mAh), with its useful and informative display, with the three activation modes (Fire) obtainable, with the rechargeable cartridge and with its paper filters (ecig feeling) could alone really satisfy most vaper's. But the accessory that makes this kit unique and perfect is precisely the powerbank with AS chipset, because in addition to being very useful for its large energy reserve (1,600 + 500mAh), it exploits an ingenious design with high quality finishes. As for the Vaping test, I really appreciate the possibility of excluding / including the automatic puff. For the MTL aromatic yield of Vilter-S, I would say that in its category the device defends itself very well. The capsule and coil are the same as original Vilter here: Aspire Vilter new Cig Feeling Review
Ultimately I promote both kits, both Vilter-S and Vilter-PB and I advise you not to miss this new winning pairing from Aspire.

DIGIFLAVOR XP 77W KIT review by hittman

Yes, it’s me again. I’m here yet again to hopefully provide an informative review. I don’t really see many products in the Digiflavor line but today I’m here with you to take a look at the Digiflavor XP 77W Kit. I do still use a Digiflavor Siren V1 to this day with a particular mix that I enjoy in it and have a couple of the Z1 SBS kits that get occasional use. Digiflavor seems to be one of those afterthought companies that I don’t really hear much about. Well today we’re going to talk about this kit and hopefully like it. The XP mod uses a single 18650 battery and of course just like the name, it has a maximum output of 77 watts. Instead of the standard three button operation, this mod has what is called a digi-crown for operation. I’ll talk more about that later. It also has customizable LED lights that illuminate when the mod is fired and a three way safety switch that’s a little different from the A-Lock where it has the on position, lock adjustment, and a third position that locks the mod completely. It sounds like a nice little feature but I’ll have to see how it is in actual use. The tank included in the kit is the XP Pod Tank and it has bottom airflow while using the Geekvape P series coils that I am somewhat already familiar with after testing other Geekvape devices. The tank has a 4.5ml capacity and connects via magnets. Kind of reminds me of another pod tank I’ve tested recently. That’s enough for now. Let’s go down and see how this thing performs.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the XP is similar to what I’ve seen with Geekvape review samples. The front shows a color picture of the device inside as well as the name, tank capacity, and name of the color near the bottom of the face. I didn’t know until I flipped the box over that XP stands for Xyberpunk. I would not have guessed. The back shows some features and a list of package contents.

Once the outer sleeve is removed then the mod is visible in a foam insert. Underneath the mod is the XP Pod Tank and a box containing the user manual, some spare o rings, spare drip tip, second coil, USB-C charging cable, and some Digiflavor battery wraps. At first I thought the wraps were stickers.

upload_2022-4-30_8-55-49.png

upload_2022-4-30_8-56-12.png

The XP Pod Tank that comes with the kit is a two piece setup. The tank portion has a rubber stopper on the bottom that the tank is filled through. I experienced some difficulty grabbing and pulling the fill plug despite the plug having a flap that goes up toward the tip end. It seemed odd to me that the top cap of the tank was knurled although it is not removable. I do like that the tank section is completely clear to make liquid level viewing easy. The pod portion of the tank connects to the base that contains the airflow adjustment via magnets. Like many other pod tanks and pod mods I’ve seen, there is a metal ring inside the base that the magnets attach to while the coil makes contact with the pins in the base.

The drip tips that come with the tank are 810 and fairly comfortable to use. Instead of having a large gold plated connection inside the base of the tank, this one has three gold plated pins sticking up that make contact with the bottom of the coil. The coils used with this tank are the Geekvape P Series coils that I have used before while testing Geekvape review items. The included coils are .4 ohms rated at 50-60 watts and a .2 ohm coil rated at 60-70 watts. Now this doesn’t make much sense to me to include a 60-70 watt coil with a unit that is only 18650 and has a maximum output of 77 watts. I’d prefer to see something in the 30-40 watt range with a device like this.

upload_2022-4-30_8-57-54.png

upload_2022-4-30_8-58-15.png

I didn’t know at first until I opened the package if I would like the color I received but I really do. The Aurora is a nice color in my opinion. The 510 connection is held in place with three good sized torx head screws and the center pin is spring loaded and gold plated. I like how the color of the body is carried around the 510 plate. I have no idea what the numbers are on the 510 plate.

upload_2022-4-30_8-58-57.png

The battery is inserted in the mod by removing the C frame side cover. The battery polarity is clearly marked with a series of squares and the cover is held on with four strong magnets. I didn’t experience any rattling or movement with the battery cover.

upload_2022-4-30_8-59-38.png

The Digiflavor name is on both sides of the mod. This isn’t just plain old branding. These logos illuminate if you choose to use that function in the menu system.

upload_2022-4-30_9-0-26.png

upload_2022-4-30_9-1-2.png

Now onto the front of the mod. At the top of the face is what is being called a digicrown. This control is your fire button and adjustment all in one. Turn the wheel right or left to simulate what you would do with the + and – buttons. Below the digicrown is the .96” TFT display. I like this display and how it keeps you informed of what is going on. Below the display is the USB-C charging port. The display shows the following information.

- Battery level indicator

- Mode of operation

- Set wattage

- Amperage while firing under load

- Coil resistance

- Voltage output while firing

- Puff counter

This one doesn’t have the length of time of current puff like I’ve been seeing on a lot of mods lately.

The button and menu operation is as follows.

- Press the fire button 5X to turn the mod on or off

- Turn the crown wheel to adjust the output up or down

- To reset puff counter, press the fire button 3X, press again to select fire mode, mode will flash, press fire button 2X to highlight puff counter and turn the wheel to the right to reset or turn to the left to bring back last puff count

- Press the fire button 3X to enter the menu where the options are Fire Mode, Brightness, LED Color, Theme, Reset

- Inside each menu category there is a second level of options as follows:

- Fire Mode = Power, Bypass, VPC, TC-Ni, TC-SS, TC-Ti, TCR

- Brightness = Adjust display or LED brightness level

- LED Color = Choose color and pattern of Breathing, Flashing, or always on

- Theme = Choose between four different color patterns

- Reset = Factory reset

d09eaQb.jpg

If you choose to charge your battery inside the mod then the LED will indicate the battery level where Red= <3.5v, Blue=3.5v-4.0v, and Green=>4.0v.

I have to say that the crown wheel adjustment took some getting used to for me which made it obvious the importance of the three position switch on the bottom of the mod. When handling the mod it is somewhat easy to accidentally turn the crown wheel so the switch is a necessary feature. It has three positions where it is completely unlocked, center position locks the adjustment only and the third position locks the mod completely. When the switch is moved a message pops up on the display telling you what feature you have activated. Also on the bottom of the mod is “Designed by Digiflavor” but also has the Geekvape name on it due to the fact that as far as I know Geekvape owns Digiflavor.

upload_2022-4-30_9-2-11.png

FINAL THOUGHTS:

As I mentioned earlier, the crown wheel adjustment took some getting used to but once it’s set then I don’t mess with it much. To me some of the display text is too small to read. It depends on which menu screen you are in but I had difficulty reading some of the settings. The main display that you see while using the mod is fine. It’s just when I get into the menu that I have difficulty seeing some of the text. The crown wheel has enough resistance that it doesn’t free spin so it takes a little effort to turn it. I found this easiest to do using two fingers. However, if I didn’t use the adjustment lock switch on the bottom then I wouldn’t put it in a pocket or use it for very long without checking the display to make sure it hadn’t accidentally changed the output setting. I did notice that the crown wheel shaft does allow a slight movement vertically and horizontally so perhaps the shaft of what I’m assuming is a potentiometer could have been supported or stabilized a little bit better but it’s not a big deal. I purposely pushed up, down, and side to side to check for movement.

The XP Pod tank uses the Geekvape P Series of coils which in my opinion are good performers and have good flavor production. I do think including the .2 ohm coil is a bit much for the mod since it only has an output of 77 watts. To be honest, I don’t really know why they decided to go with a pod tank for this mod. The airflow control is part of the base and the pod portion of the tank just spins infinitely on the base. I would have much preferred just a standard tank with a screw on base using these coils. Geekvape already had the Z Nano tank which would have been a good fit for this kit. I also had difficulty opening the rubber plug for filling the pod. At least it does rotate out of the way for filling and was able to fill without mess. I’m just not a fan of bottom filling pods.

The LED lighting that lights up the Digiflavor name on either side of the mod isn’t as obnoxious as some LED mods that I’ve seen. I don’t really love light up mods but this one is tolerable. I do very much like the Aurora color that I received.

So, would I recommend the Digiflavor XP 77W kit for you? Maybe. Honestly, I like the mod and if I was going to order then I’d probably order the mod without the pod tank. I had a couple times where the pod portion popped up and don’t really care for how it free spins on the base.

I’d like to thank Sourcemore and Joyi for sending the Digiflavor XP 77W kit for this review and thanks to you the readers. I hope I’ve given enough information so you can make an educated decision on this device. Below is a coupon code and a link to the website where the product can be found.

WoW Shipping costs ?

So I was just on your site to place an order and for an 85$ order your shipping charge is 73$ ? I am hoping this is a glitch as you are currently moving warehouses and have seen several issues with things on your website in the last week or so including login, points, order history etc. Currently there is only 2 shipping choices listed and both are UPS and the price is crazy.

Thoughts on THIS vape? Vaporesso XROS Mini

upload_2022-4-30_14-28-32.png

I'll start by saying im only new to vaping and previously used disposable vape pens. I like the disposables, however, their price isnt very pocket-friendly and e-juice is cheaper and would last a lot longer.
I'm after a vape that has a feel like the disposable ones, nothing fancy, easy to use (i only breathe the vapor into my mouth and out again), just fill, use and clean is ideal.
I vape for weight loss as an alternative to eating junk food I crave and drinking wine. No nicotine, only flavors for that taste in the mouth.

The one above seems to tick all those boxes, isn't too big, rechargeable, fills at the top. Just wondering if the above looks good/safe and would suit my purpose?
In reviews, people were mentioning coils (this one has a 1.5 i believe), im unsure entirely what that is, but assume is the heating element in the vape pod? Does this have to be replaced? How do you clean the pod out if you wanted a flavor change without still tasting the previous flavor?
Can you buy additional pods so you could carry or use 2 flavors by swapping them?
I think this is the only draw back, not being able to easily change the flavours...

Hopefully someone here knows the answer and/or has some feedback on the device above im considering <3 thank you!

Why do you vape? Any dieters doing only mouth inhalations?

Hi Everyone!
New here and new to vaping, only been doing it for a couple weeks. I'm actually on a weight loss journey (some 25kgs to lose, Currently at 20). My friend vapes & told me about the flavours etc. Given my weight loss journey, I'm a chronic night snacker with a big sweet tooth and I love my 2 glasses of wine per night. Obviously neither are great for weight loss, and per chance I saw a vape store while shopping & had a chat to the store person and walked away with a disposable "OneVape" grape flavored pen (0 nicotine as I don't want to swap one habit for another) now whenever evening comes I have a few puffs of the flavoured vape (10-20 puffs) not doing a lung inhalation, just into the mouth & out the nose (sometimes!) more common just into the mouth & then out with some pressure to blow the vapor away (to hopefully stop 2nd half vapor)

That's been just enough to get me the flavours I crave without the calories of food and wine, I'm sure this is probably healither then junk food and alcohol I've since lost 5kgs in a lil over 4 weeks.

I get a lot of people vape for the nicotine aspect, but is there anyone doing it like me for a similar reason?
And do you think inhalation in the mouth, then right out, carries as much of a risk as lung vaping?

Thanks :)

Vaporesso Target 100 Mod Kit

Vaporesso-Target-100-Box-Kit-1_01_TaqUp.jpeg

Vaporesso TARGET 100 mod Kit features the monumental iTank Sub Ohm Tank, inspired by the Spacecraft, this tank is decorated with an all-metal wrapped design, there’s no denying that its compact and mechanical tank has a more strong structure to protect itself. It has an 8ml capacity that is 67% larger compared to similar sized tanks, and redefines the new DTL experience, as you hold the vapor in your mouth, rather than sending it directly to your lung, you can have more time to taste and absorb the flavor. its Turbo Airflow system combines airflow from three air inlets at the bottom and then gives you the most flavorful taste, when the air is added, you can enjoy infinite airflow with lower noise. The GTi coil can create a larger surface area to enhance the quality of flavor and cloud delivery.
