I always wondered where the current flows through in a Clapton coil (or any other coil that consists of multiple wires). I always thought that electricity is using the past of least resistance, and if that was true, it should only flow through the wire that has less resistance, not both of them.
Turns out I was wrong, here’s a quote from an electronics forum:

“"The popular notion that current follows the path of least resistance just isn’t true. Current follows the paths of all resistances in proportion to their conductance."”

so it would seem that current does flow through both wires

Hey guys,

So I'm not new here or anything, been vaping since mid-2011 but I got a question.

In December of 2021, when it got real cold here in the DC area, I took the trash out one night to the dumpster where I live in shorts and a sweatshirt. When I woke up the next day, I had a dry cough/throat irritation. I figured it had to be related to me going out in the cold the night before in shorts. The irritation is in the upper/back of my throat where the back meets the downward part of your upper throat. It feels dry/scratchy all the time and I'm always having to cough. There is no chest congestion or anything like that, I know exactly where it's coming from.

I saw my ENT last month, he "scoped me" and said my throat "looks great!" He put me on a nasal spray, that didn't help, last week he put me on Z-Pak for a week (an antibiotic), that hasn't helped. Two months later I still have this annoying throat irritation in the back of my throat and I can't figure out why or how to get rid of it.

When I do vape, yes it does aggravate the irritation and makes me cough (sometimes). I was wondering if others here have issues with throat irritation and vaping? Like I said, I know when the problem started, so I don't think it's vaping related, but the vaping does seem to aggravate the issue.

I've recently purchased (Feb-2022) a few batteries from an Australian retailer that were listed as genuine Sony (Murata) 18650 VTC6 batteries. I've taken photos showing a side by side with another Sony 18650 VTC6 battery that I purchased elsewhere and I'm confident is genuine. The genuine battery here I've covered with an extra plastic wrap that is clear so please disregard this and be aware that's why there is extra glare/shine. I've inluded some pictures at the bottom from 18650batterystore.com and eu.nkon.nl for a comparison of what I assume genuine Sony (Murata) 18650 VTC6 batteries should look like.

The most notable features of these batteries I purchased, that appear to be fake are:
- Single ring near top whereas all genuine ones have two rings.
- QR code near top appears smaller on the fake batteries.
- RU (UL listing logo) side facing bottom of battery appears cut off.

Please note the batteries I have (that I'm confident are genuine) are the older Sony print dated 2015. Sony has now changed to Murata so I've checked the date codes and these batteries that appear fake are dated Jan-2020. To be sure that recent genuine Murata batteries still have the same two rings at the top like the old Sony design, I've included at the bottom batteries that appear genuine from 18650batterystore.com from the user uploaded photos. These have date codes from Oct-2020 and Dec-2020.

Please can you give me your feedback on if you too think these batteries shown with the single ring near the top are fake? They all test with approx 200mAh less than a slightly used Sony (Murata) 18650 which I bought about 5 years ago. Test was done with LittoKala Li-500 @ 1A charge & 500mA drain.
