I am a new vaper in my mission to quit smoking. I just bought my first vape device- Smok Nfix last week and so far love it.Its so lightweight and portable and produces nice flavour.

Being a newbie I have a pretty silly question- the pod in the nfix is very easily refillable. But if i want to fill it with a different flavoured juice, how do i empty/ clean the juice which is already in it? Good morning or afternoon depending on where you live. Today I will be discussing the Wotofo Manik pod mod kit that was sent to me for review by Health Cabin. I know as you do that there are a ton of pod and pod mod kits out on the market right now. I will do my best to give a fair and honest opinion on this one and in turn hopefully help you decide if it’s something that you would like to add to your vape arsenal. I’ll show some pictures, discuss the kit, and at the end will give a couple links. Initial Thoughts:

I have not purchased many things from Wotofo in the past besides a few tanks but instantly recognized the box with the clear plastic top cover. It was a little difficult to open the first time but not too bad. Initially when I saw the Manik, the appearance reminded me of the PM80 and PM80se pod mods that I had reviewed previously. For me that was where the similarity ended. I immediately noticed the nice weight of the mod that my mind associates with quality. Kind of like using a nice expensive writing instrument. The Manik also has a really nice feeling finish to it due to the nanotech coating. To me the difference in the coating is very noticeable compared to other pod mods I’ve used. The leather on the back also has a nice feel to it and the entire mod is very comfortable to hold in my opinion with the fire button in just the right place for my style of thumb firing.

The mod has a .96” TFT screen that is fairly easy to read and bright enough in my opinion. The display shows a battery indicator on the top left then to the right shows the battery percentage in fairly small numbers but I’m still able to read it even with my old eyes. Under that is the wattage setting in much larger type. Then under that is volts, ohms, and puff counter. Below that it shows the length of your puff in much larger type. I’m not sure why they decided to make it that large. The display color can be changed and has six color options. I personally liked the blue the best but that’s not surprising since it’s my favorite color.

The operation of the different functions is somewhat similar to other devices. Press the fire button five times to turn the Manik on and off. Press the fire button three times to lock or unlock the device. However, locking the device will also keep it from firing as well as adjusting the wattage. Quickly pressing the + and – buttons will lock the wattage. If you press too long it will start increasing or decreasing the wattage. To clear the puff counter press the fire button and minus button. Finally, to change the color of the display press the fire button and the plus button. I have found on this one also that if I press for very long that the wattage will start scrolling so just a quick press of both buttons for each color change worked best for me.







Ok, now on to the pod and coils. The kit included one pod that is 4.5ml capacity and two coils. The coils included are the D14 which is .2 ohms and rated for best performance at 35-40 watts. I found that I liked it best at 32 watts. The second coil included is the D15 Clapton M coil also at .2 ohms but rated at 45-55 watts which I ended up running mostly at 40 watts. I know some people will think I’m crazy but I preferred the D14 coil over the D15 Clapton coil. I just found the D14 to be a very smooth and flavorful vape for my style of vaping.

The pod is not held on by magnets like a lot of pods are. It has a large button on the front that locks and unlocks the pod from the mod. It really clicks into place and I can never see it coming loose on its own. One thing that I missed on this pod mod was that there is not any airflow adjustment. To me that would have made a big difference on how many people it might appeal to. Also, the drip tip is a molded part of the pod so you can’t put your own tip on it. That being said, I found the tip very comfortable to use. One important feature of this pod is you can not only use the different coils that Wotofo offers but you can also use Voopoo PNP coils and Vaporesso GTX coils which I am a fan of both.











Final Thoughts:

I very much enjoyed testing the Wotofo Manik pod mod kit. It feels like a quality mod in the hand and fires without any noticeable lag. The materials used seem durable and the leather on the back has a nice feel to it. There is no button rattle and the buttons are very responsive.

The flavor from both coils was really good but I liked the D14 coil the best due to the smoothness of the vapor. The pod for me has plenty of capacity at 4.5ml and lasted quite some time. I tend to give puff counts versus battery life but honestly it’s a little meaningless unless someone is using the same battery and taking the same length of puffs at the same wattage that I am. I noticed on the Manik that my average puff time was around two seconds and got well over 300 puffs on a charge. I don’t charge batteries inside a mod normally but it does have 1.5A charging through the micro usb.

I felt like the Manik had plenty of features for what I consider to be a fairly inexpensive pod mod kit. The only thing I felt like was missing was an airflow adjustment. That would have put this one over the top for me. Maybe they’ll come out with a pod with air adjustment someday.

So, the magic question arises. Would I recommend it? I think that I would if you like a fairly airy draw for DTL and pretty darn good flavor production from both coils. Also, if you keep Voopoo and Vaporesso coils on hand like I do then it makes this device even that much more versatile.
