Internal Battery mods

Ok so I've been out of the ecig community for quite awhile now. I recently started to smoke and I'm looking to get caught up on the new devices. I'm looking for recommendations for an internal battery box. I want this box to last me the full day plus, but also not something that that will pull my pants down when it goes into my pocket.

Thanks for help

Freemax Maxpod Coils Outstanding Features

There are two kinds of Freemax Maxpod Coils available for Maxpod Pod System: NS Mesh Coil 1.0ohm and NS Mesh Coil 1.5ohm. So what make Maxpod coils stand out?

ZabLqu8.jpg

Freemax Maxpod Coils are equipped with FM SaltCoilTech 2.0 which applies Honeycomb Mesh & Flax Cotton & Organic Cotton Formula for both Nic Salt & Freebase E-liquid. What’s more, you can refill any kind of vape juice you like best. In the other word, these mesh coils can be compatible with 99% of flavor categories in the market. And the lifespan of each coil is about 5-8 refills, considering nic content and VG/PG ratios.

Difference between NS Mesh Coil 1.0ohm and 1.5ohm below:
NS Mesh Coil 1.0ohm comes with 66.66% flax cotton and 33.34% organic cotton, and Nic Salt is best for 20-30mg and Freebase e-liquid is best for 3-12mg, which is focused on flavor and vapor.

NS Mesh Coil 1.5ohm consists of 44.44% flax cotton and 55.56% organic cotton, and Nic Salt is suggested best at 30-50mg and Freebase e-liquid is best at 12-24mg, which is focused on Nicotine Intake and Throat Hit.

What did I do wrong? Could be a flooded coil, but really don't know. (Newb question)

Newbie here. Bought a Smok Nord using NKD 100 Salt 3 days ago was loving it until it started "Gurgling' and found it pretty much unusable without coughing my guts up. Googled that, and it seems it could be a "flooded coil", so Googled that, but every "fix" I've tried doesn't seem to be working. (Removed the coil, shoved tissue down it to soak up extra liquid etc etc). The fixes I tried did help a little, but not really. Bit annoyed right now because I'm currently a 2 plus packet a day smoker and after 3 days of using this I had already set my "Quit Date", because I was enjoying it so much, but now it's pretty much unusable. Feeling dumb, so any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

VAPORESSO FORZ TX80 KIT REVIEWED BY BIGBOB2322

Welcome back folks for todays review which comes to us from Vaporesso and is on the new FORZ TX80 Kit. This kit is a change from what we normally see from Vaporesso being that their devices have more of a upscaled look to them. The FORZ TX80 Kit is a waterproof, shockproof, dustproof kit, yes even the Tank. Vaporesso claims that closing the airflow down completely and putting the supplied rubber drip tip cap on that the Tank is waterproof also, I could be wrong but I think that's a first in the industry. Before I tell you my experience with the FORZ Kit lets look at some detailed information on the FORZ TX80 Kit by Vaporesso.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS

I always like being wowed when opening vape packages and Vaporesso did that again with the FORZ TX80 Kit. Their presentation of products always show they don't just put items in a container and package it up, they always think of the little things even presentation of their products. Below the kit in the picture is a packet holding your manual, warranty card and counterfeit information. Even the braided Type-C charge cable is housed in it's own container.

20201005_130916.jpg

The top of the device has a nice design surrounding the spring loaded offset 510 and has AXON CHIP stamped on the top plate that is held in place with 5 screws.

20201010_072722.jpg

The single 18650 battery is installed on the bottom of the device via a battery cap, simply lift the inner part and unscrew it, install your battery positive side in then screw the cap back on.

20201005_141056.jpg

Battery polarity is clearly marked inside the device with a red + and - is marked on the battery cap as well.

20201010_084558 (1).jpg

20201005_142912.jpg

Embossed in the leather grip is FORZ in between 2 red stitching rows from top to bottom giving it a very tough but stylish look. The Tank's glass tube is protected by being incased in the rubber cage used to protect it from drops and it works well as I've tested it inadvertently by setting the device on a 5 foot high dresser only to have my cat jump up to investigate it and promptly knock it to the wooden floor, not a scratch to be found on either the tank or device. Even the Drip Tip itself has a stylish chrome ring at the bottom of it. The FORZ Tank's bottom airflow uses 3 airflow slots and is a air lovers dream but can be dialed down for a nice restricted DL vape.

20201010_080800.jpg

The top cap unscrews with a quarter turn to reveal 2 juice fill ports that are partially blocked by metal inside them, I thought for sure there would be problems filling because of it but filling slowly has worked just fine without a mess. Vaporesso provides a key to unscrew the glass bracket lock when cleaning or changing the glass tube and it also doubles as a coil removal tool for anyone with dexterity problems.

FORZ TANK FILL PORTS.jpg

20201005_143325.jpg

I really like how this device can withstand punishment but still have a appearance of style with the front plate having a brushed metal look surrounding the display screen and the 4 buttons of the device. Yes 4 buttons, Vaporesso incorporated a dedicated menu button that sits under the plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the device.

20201010_082923.jpg

On one side of the device is the Type-C charge port that is located down at the bottom and is covered with a rubber plug that is pulled out revealing the charge port. There is some small Vaporesso branding located toward the top of the device.

20201010_080534.jpg

MENU

* 5 presses of the power button turns the device both on/off
* 3 presses of the power button locks the adjustment buttons
* Holding the menu button for 3 seconds or pressing it 3 times will open the menu up
* First up is the new F(t) mode that sorta acts like a power curve automatically in my opinion
* Next is pulse mode followed by power eco mode that conserves battery life
* Then comes smart TC for all your Temp adjustments and different metals
* Then comes DIY mode where you can choose VW,VT,VV,BP and Super Player mode
* Next is system set for further adjustments such as brightness, screen flip, version, default, auto eco

AXON CHIP 2.0

The new Axon chip 2.0 has worked very well with a instant fire that is so fast you need to be careful not to touch the fire button when picking up the device because it might give you a fright when the coil engages LOL.

I am a straight wattage vaper so I couldn't tell you anything about how the chip performs in TC one way or another. I tried the new F(t) mode but really didn't notice much of a difference from straight wattage but that could be just me. I'm very pleased with the new chips performance never having any problems with the device itself.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Using the FORZ for the couple of weeks I've had it it has improved, let me explain. When I first took off both the top and bottom cap of the tank they felt gritty when re screwing both caps back in place. After about 3 or 4 tank refills the top cap was fine no more gritty threads. As far as the bottom cap, when I changed out the pre-installed coil to test the 0.4Ω coil everything was fine with the threading. The only reason I even mentioned this is in case any of you that buy one have this happen to them, it should work itself out very soon as mine did. This tank has 3 airflow slots giving it massive airflow wide open but can dialed down to a RDL . The tank is somewhat loud and whoshy although smooth from wide open to very closed down with no whistle at any range of airflow I tried. Flavor was average at first but improved with each tank refill.

The look of this tank is a look of toughness that as I said earlier was proven with a 5 foot fall on to hard wood floors without even a scratch. I even like the Drip Tip with it's chrome ring showing at the bottom. The tank fits flush flush to the device adding to it's appearance. As far as the coils go I preferred the 0.4Ω coil at 56w because of battery life, both coils performed the same. One other thing on the tank is that she's a juice guzzler, which is fine because both coils are rather large. I never received a dry hit in the many tankful's of juice used during the course of this review

The FORZ device itself is a very comfortable and ergonomic mod and being a single 18650 device even though it's beefed up with all the protection it isn't that heavy in my opinion. I wish that it was a 21700 though because teaming it with a tank that uses coils that require wattage in the 40-80 watt range I need to carry a extra battery if I'm going to be out with it for a long time.

I really hope Vaporesso comes out with a coil in the 30w range simply for battery longevity. The device will cater to those that need it's toughness but also to folks looking for something attractive as well. The screen although somewhat on the small side is very vivid and has plenty of information that you need minus a puff counter, you do get a puff timer but Vaporesso really should have used a puff counter instead of the timer especially with this device.

Scrolling through the wattage range is done fairly quick moving in .5 increments to the max of 80w, this device does not round robin. I tested the mods waterproof capability's in a sink full of water with no problems . All in all the FORZ TX80 Kit performed well for me.

I would like to thank Jasmine, Jessica and Vaporesso for providing the FORZ TX 80 Kit for review and I hope this review helped anyone looking into purchasing one for themselves.

THANK YOU

Hi there! Just got a Scar-18 got a question!

Hey guys. New here.

Just got a Scar-18...

All good so far.

My only problem is that 1 battery shows 6 percent lower of charge....

I exchanged the batteries and now the other battery shows -6%....

So both batteries are same percentage but mod shows 6% lower in the minus slot....

Is that a big problem? Shall I take it back?

Closed/Sold ZapWrapz for Dicodes Dani Box (NOT Mini)

Without getting into how stupid I can be, and WHY I have wraps for a mod I've never owned, if anyone is looking for a good deal on one or two ZapWrapz, I might have something for you.

These are for the original Dani Box (18650, NOT Mini).

If you're unfamiliar with ZapWrapz, they're extremely high quality wraps from the UK. I have one on a Dani Box Mini and I love it.

Zapwrapz Vape Wraps & Skins

Looking to possible offset my losses here, CONUS folks can get them here for $15 each, which includes first class shipping w/tracking. If buying two, $25 takes them both home.

I've got one of each color, "Brushed Titanium" and "Purple Glitter". I actually have two of each so deals can be struck if there's any interest.

Anyways, here's a pic. IF interested, give me a shout.

Thanks for stoppin'! :vapor: :toast:

Looking for new tank

Posted a couple days ago, just got back into vaping. Currently using tfv12, and freemax mesh pro. Now looking for a rta. Never had a rebuildable tank. I have done rda's. I don't mind doing coils, but I have always had issues wicking. I would like to get back into it. I prefer open draw DTL. I vape 60 to 80 on my current setup. When I made my own coils on my rdas I vaped 80 to 140w. Rda I prefer a warmer to hot vape. All my mods currently are 200w +. I love clouds, And flavor. If I need to choose between the 2, clouds win. I just ordered supplies to make my own juice, and plan to do a unflavored nic base.

Augvape Druga 2 RDA Review

hi,

For review I have the Augvape Druga 2 RDA which is the renewed version of the Druga, obviously.

Features

• 24mm diameter
• 810 drip tip
• Low profile
• Deep juice well
• Gold plated SS squonk pin included
• Gold plated SS contact pin installed
• 18K Gold plated posts on black deck
• Many airflow combinations
• Upgraded Clamp Snag System
• Designed for flavor and cloud

Packaging:

1x Druga 2 RDA
1x Squonk Pin
3x O-rings
1x Clamp system card
1x Warranty card

Review:

Druga 2 feels very solid and there is no over clear branding apart from the Carved in Druga logo which is in the same color. I like simple design RDA's and that is what the Druga 2 is, it fits very beautifully on any mod really.

Chamber clicks into place having the air inlets exactly locked right next to the coils. It has a tiny bit of play, but its about 1mm.

It has 6 airflow openings which can easily be covered/uncovered by twisting the top cap. While twisting clockwise it will first cover the top row and later the bottom row, so you can exactly decide how many air inlets you want uncovered, even one if you'd like to.

Drip-tip connector is sticking out a bit, but for the included drip-tip it is actually a good thing giving it a longer feel. The included drip-tip is very low profile. Any black 810 would look good on this RDA, if it has a different color then you will clearly see the drip-tip connector sticking out.

I've been mainly using it as a dripper, simply because the juice well is quite deep. Dripping it once gives me a proper 8-10 flavorful dense vape.

Lately I have been more fan of postless decks, but these posts are different than others. You actually don’t even need a screwdriver to get your coils stuck into place. The large grip textured screws can be strongly screwed into place by hand. Using a screwdriver also is no issue at all with the proper large Philips screws, a flathead screwdriver also can be used as the screw heads are quite large.

It is easy to build on if you use the right method. Clipping your coil legs in advance will make it much easier. Depending on how close you want your coils to the airflow you can clip the legs between 5-7mm. Then you need to insert both coils at the sane time and screw down the screws either by hand or with the use of a screwdriver.

You can also use it as a single coil RDA, but you do feel it really is meant for dual builds. Inside the juice well there is a slightly lowered part, with a single build this will be filled with liquid that won't be picked up by the wick.

If its about the vape experience, it delivers really outstanding flavor, what you would expect from an RDA. The airflow is not as smooth as I have wanted it to be, its a little turbulent, but not annoyingly turbulent. I'm not the type of person that often vapes above 80W, but did give this RDA a try at 100W and wow, what an insane cloud production you get from this RDA!

Conclusion:

An RDA that does what you expect it to do, deliver exceptional flavor.

It performs well as a dripper but also on top of a squonk mod with the included squonk pin.

Easy to build, easy to adjust airflow and not needing a screwdriver is quite unique.

Airflow could have been smoother.

Special thanks to @Augvape_Fiona for sending me this RDA!

Vandy vape requiem rda review

I received requiem rda from Vandy vape for the purpose of this review.

- Matte black
- Ss
- Frosted grey
- Gun metal
- Gold

mG67Kic.jpg

Specifications:

- Diameter: 22mm
- Height: 15mm
- Capacity 1

In the box:

- Requiem RDA
- Coil tool
- Spare parts
- 3 top caps
- User manual
- Clapton coils

u05kQ3r.jpg

Requiem rda is single coil atomizer and this atomizer is 22mm in diameter, height of the atomizer is 15mm without drip tip, this is one very small atomizer. Package is really good, in the package you will receive 3 different top caps, coils, beauty ring 24mm, squonk pin and you will receive coil tool. Build quality of the atomizer is really good, everything is as it should be. On the atomizer you can see logo and from the bottom of the atomizer you can see standard informations.

xE3jvCx.jpg

So, with this atomizer you will receive 3 top caps and on each you will receive different drip tip. You will receive top cap for mtl vaping, dtl vaping and rdtl vaping which is really nice. Drip tips that comes with this atomizer are comfortable for using, but in case that you don't like drip tips you can use here any other 510 or 810 drip tip which is great.
So, we have different top caps with different airflow. On each top cap airflow is angled down so air can hit the coil. On the top cap for dtl vaping you can see two big airflow slots inside, on the top cap for rdtl vaping you can see 4 holes inside and on the top cap for mtl vaping you can see two small airflow holes inside. Considering that airflow here is angled down this atomizer will not leak that easy which is really nice.

33l1gRc.jpg

iD7Xkfb.jpg

4du4rKx.jpg

On the base you can see two screws for coil leads and screws are good, so far I didn't have problems. On the base you can aslo see two wicking slots. Building and wicking here is really easy which is good. In the package you will receive two clapton coils which is nice and you can use coils from the package here if you don't have your coil. Using the tool from the package you can place your coil on perfect position by placing the tool on the base which is nice. On this atomizer you can't use bigger coils than 2.5mm so you must go with less than 2.5mm or with 2.5mm coil here.

bfbus6L.jpg

nOXToVC.jpg

4xvMkRl.jpg

My thoughts:

So this is one really small atomizer that has really good build quality, everything is as it should be. Package is good, you will recieve 3 top caps, coils, tool, beauty ring and bf pin. Each drip tip from the package is comfortabqwle for using in my opinion, but if you want you can also use your own drip tips here. Buidling and wicking here is really simple. This atomizer you can use with regular mods or you can use it with squonk mods if you want, you will receive squonk pin in the package. You can't use here bigger coils that 2.5mm which may be a con for someone, personally 2.5mm in this atomizer is really good. You can use this atomizer as dtl, mtl or rdtl atomizer and I tried each variant and I can say that it perfroms really well. When you use it as mtl aomizer you can expect nice mtl draw with good flavor, personally I would like smaller hole for mtl. When you use it as dtl atomizer you can expect nice dtl draw with really good flavor. When you use it as rdtl atomizer you can expect really nice rdtl draw with amazing flavor. Personally I like to use this atomizer as rdtl atomizer and it is really good that way in my opinion, I really like rdtl airflow on this atomizer. Atomizer is really small and that is one of the reasons why flavor here is so good. In my opinion this is one really good rda that you can use as mtl, dtl and rdtl atomizer and it will perform really good.

Cons:

- You can't use bigger coils that 2.5mm

Pros:

- Good build quality
- 3 top caps in the package
- Coils in the package
- 24mm ring
- Small atomizer
- You can use it as rdtl, mtl or dtl atomizer
- You can use your drip tips here
- Comfortable drip tips from the package
- Easy to build and wick
- Really good flavor
- Airflow angled down so it is hard to leak

Thanks vandy vape

Review:

I'm not much a fan of rainbow color(7-color cobra it is actually called), but the overall design is very nice. The rubber side panels give this pod-mod a proper grip. Frames around the plastic front and back panels are made from metal. On the top sides of the metal frame are two airflow openings allowing air to come in from both sides.

It is quite light weighing 102g with a full pod inserted. It is portable as it is not very big. It being IP67 certified is always a plus, but I did not feel like throwing it around to test it though.

It has a comfortable, large enough fire-button that does not rattle and functions very well. The build in led indicator is bright, but also quite useless as my finger covers it anyway while vaping. Two buttons on the side are tiny but sit very well and also have a rubberish feeling, they have a nice click to it.

On the bottom is a plug that uncovers a USB-C port, good it is USB-C. It takes about 70 minutes to fully charge this device. When using at 25W it gets me through a whole day, at 40 I would need to charge somewhere 3/4 into a day.

The screen is nice and bright and has all the details you need for a pod-mod of this size; puff counter, voltage output, resistance, resistance, battery % and the wattage level.

There is pretty much no additional functionalities apart from turning on/off, adjusting the wattage and locking/unlocking the fire-button. Quite disappointing that I am not able to reset the puff counter. Not sure why, but it seems quite logical to include this function. Puff counter resets automatically after 999 is reached, pity it does not go further than 999.

Both pods have a proper 6ml capacity. Difference between the pods is the coil type, one takes the RPM coils and the other the RPM2 coils. They slide and lock into the device strongly with the help of magnets and a click system. Coils push into the pod and should be aligned with the straight edges.

Fill-port is large and accessible on the side, no issues pulling these rubbers out. Like the fact that when the pod is inserted you can easily see the liquid level as the pods are transparent. Mouthpiece is OK for me, it is quite wide but for DTL it is OK.

There are two coils included, one RPM (0.4 ohm) and one RPM2 (0.2ohm) Both coils deliver a really satisfying DTL vape. There is no airflow adjustment, but to me the airflow is about right for both coils/pods.

With the 0.4ohm I get a nice restricted lung hit at 25w, delivering good flavor and dense clouds. I personally prefer the 0.2ohm coil at 40w, the flavor is even better, and the cloud production is quite large for 40w. None of these coils had leaking nor spit-back issues.

This device for me is a RDL/DTL device only with the coils provided in the kit, there is too much airflow for MTL. There is a total of 8 coils compatible with this kit, of which there is 3 MTL coil options, maybe it can figure as a MTL device with those coils, but I simply cannot know without having them.

Conclusion:

A nice pod-mod if it is purely about the vape it provides, nice flavorful and dense clouds. Also 8 coils in the RPM line is a pro, for me coil options is important.

Properly made device that feels solid and will not break down easily with its IP67 rating. Proper battery and charge time with USB-C. Nice and bright screen.

Too poor on functionalities if you ask me. Not being able to reset a puff counter is kind of crappy. Also, adjustable airflow would have been a welcomed feature here.

50$ on the official SMOK store this kit costs, replacement coils cost around 15$-20$ a 4-pack. Quite sure it is available cheaper on other stores, have seen the kit for 36$.

Thank you,
SP013

Thank you,

Wire gauge vs coil id

Hello
Is it possible a wire it's too thin for the cotton? I use 28ga wire for 3mm coil on my mtl atty...is that bad idea?
And btw can it be bad I use 3mm since it's supposed to be used with 2.5mm???
In my understanding, since the coil can fit with no shorts and can wick the atty ok with the cotton the 3mm coil needs then should be ok....like the only worry is the aiflow holes on the deck to cool the cotton properly isn't it??? Right??

Lost Vape Grus - Odd name

The Lost Vape Grus is the latest single 18650 based mod from Lost Vape. With an unusual heavy design (its heavier than a lot of dual 18650 mods) the Lost Vape Grus is in the higher price bracket of the LV catalogue but also doubles as a workhorse mod.

Juice viscosity per flavour

Yooooo guys
I d.i.m.=(do it myself) ejuice :p and I make them 70vg but some flavours feel like they get absorbed by the cotton more difficult....like they are thicker....maybe cause of the sweeteners??
Happens very fast so it can't be that they produce gunk...I notice it from the first fill
Have anyone notice something similar??
Is this possible?? Am I crazy??? What's going on?? illuminaty? Chemtrails??
