Innokin EQ FLTR Pod - under the system with a cigarette filter

Innokin recently demonstrated its newly developed product-the pod system - Innokin EQ FLTR. Everything is fine, but it uses replaceable filters instead of drip filters to achieve the maximum authenticity of ordinary cigarettes.

resistance:1.2Ω
Output power: 7 - 9.5W
Operating mode: Power
Protection: low / high resistance, overheating, short circuit, overcharge / overdischarge
Connector type: magnetic
Screen / diagonal: no

In appearance, our visitors look like HNB devices-well, you know-the same as Iqos, but, in reality, it is still just a vape device. If you don't understand anything-it doesn't matter-I also slowed down for a long time at first, and we will solve it together.
innokin-eq-fltr-pod-kit-with-filters_ruby_red.jpg

One or more replaceable pod cartridges have standard capacity, side filling function, and directly have a device with a window for fluid control. As far as I understand, they are different from each other on the evaporator-built in in one case and replaceable in the other. We are already familiar with the second copy-it is borrowed from the Scepter pod-MTL 1.2 ohms.

Vandy Vape Kylin Mini V2 RTA Review

Hello there,

Today I have the new Vandy Vape Kylin Mini II for review. It was sent to me by Sourcemore and funny enough in the same day I also received a sample version directly from Vandy Vape. Good thing is that I can show you two colors ;)

Good news is that I received a discount code from Sourcemore, you can get yours for just $21.39. Will mention the discount code in the conclusion of this review.

More in-depth information can be found through Vandy Vape Kylin Mini V2 RTA Φ24.4mm 5ml

Special thanks to Sourcemore and Vandy Vape for sending me these two RTA’s!

Specs:

Packaging (commercial):

1 x Kylin mini v2 RTA
1 x Pyrex Glass tube
1 x Spare Parts Bag
1 x Coil Lead Guide
1 x Instruction Manual
1 x Prebuilt Fused Clapton Coil 0.30ohm

Review:

It is called Mini, but it is not small in any ways, it is actually the same size as my Zeus X. It is big because of the large chamber required for it unique 270° inner airflow system to which I will come back later.

Received colors Rainbow and Stainless Steel. I am not a rainbow type of guy, so my preference goes out to the Stainless steel one.

It looks like a proper RTA and I cannot complain about the way it is designed. Short base and larger top due to top-airflow. All threading feels smooth and am not having any issues to take apart this RTA for building or cleaning purposes. For me it looks much better with the straight glass, but with the bubble glass you simply get more capacity. Straight 3ml and bubble 5ml, enough for a single coil RTA.

It has a large top fill that does not require you to put the bottle tip inside the hole. It is built in quite deep so you can just drop your liquid anywhere on the sides and it will fill with no issues. The ridged edges make it an easy twist. I would have preferred to see a quarter turn top-cap, but it unscrews with a full turn and threading. With threading there is just a larger risk it will worn out quickly if not handled carefully.

Honeycomb airflow ring turns smoothly, when lubricated with liquid maybe a bit too easy, a bit more restriction would have been nice. It is a very smooth sounding airflow no matter which way you have it set. When fully open it really offers a lot of airflow, dual-coil standard I’d say. You can get a restricted hit by leaving only three holes open.

It is easy to unscrew the base from the tank. A very interesting build deck on this tank, it has a 270° U-shaped airflow design. What happens is that the air comes in from the top and travels past the sides of the chamber and hitting the coil from bottom and side. Not sure how much air actually reaches the bottom but it for sure is an interesting concept.

It is a floating deck, which means it turns. It takes some getting used to while building, but it is a good thing it turns. Because of this you don't have to worry about which direction to put the top back on as it will turn into place automatically. Also, it makes sure that the airflow is perfectly aligned for ultimate coverage.

Building is easy, just unscrew the screws on the side and drop in the coil. The provided coil cutting tool shows which coil-leg length is best, 7mm is marked with a sticker. One thing which I don't understand is why Vandy Vape positioned the leg inserts this way, as it required a counterclockwise twisted coil. Most premade coils are made in a clockwise matter, and most right-handed people twist their coils clockwise. Still you can get a clockwise turned coil in here, but leg length must be a bit longer as it needs to 'cross' towards the other direction. They could have chosen to have 4 inserts so that any coil would easily drop in there. The provided coil is very beefy with 24G, not my regular type of coil, but it does the job well.

There is also no ports to put your cotton in, so you need to saturate the end of your cotton to lay it into place. Not a big deal as wicking it in general is not complex.

It does vape extremely well though. The flavor is very good, and the airflow just makes it a very pleasant vape. The 270° coil coverage helps a lot here, not sure how to explain, but I kind of feel the airflow system doing its work.

What I find the main downside of this tank is the wicking channels on the outside of the chamber, they are a bit too tiny and also too close to bottom of the glass, where the distance between the chamber and glass is minimal. With 70VG it does keep up quite well, but when using 75+ VG it takes 2-3 hits to get a dry hit.

Conclusion:

To me this RTA is a very pleasant experience. It delivers lots of airflow options which sound very smooth, delivers great flavor and is easy to build on.

Maybe not the best-looking RTA with the bubble glass installed, but 5ml capacity is lots for a single coil RTA.

What I would improve:
- On the build-deck is the positioning of the coil inserts, either having them placed the other way around or having 4 inserts so that it would not matter which direction your coil was twisted in.
- The top-cap being a quarter turn lock-mechanism instead of full-turn threaded.
- Slightly larger wicking ports on the chamber so that cottons stays well saturated when using 70+ VG.

Is it worth it? In my opinion it is. If you are someone that likes single coil DTL RTA tanks than this one will fit your collection very well.

With discount code KYLIN you can get this RTA for just $21.39, a very good price for such RTA, you can find it here: Vandy Vape Kylin Mini V2 RTA Φ24.4mm 5ml

Thank you for taking your time to read, wishing you a pleasant cloudy day.

Take care,

Sjoerd

Pico Squeeze 2 Bottles?

So does anyone know of any other bottles that will fit/work in the Pico Squeeze 2 mod?

I've looked and it appears that there are no original bottles left to buy anywhere, so hoping maybe fasttech or someone has a generic one (or one that's made for another mod) that might work, even if it's not the same capacity.

First impressions:
When for the first time I touched some details, I immediately thought of the Ursa as the best creation of 2020 as regards the so-called universal devices (pod + mod) and the impression I got from it is of great robustness.

The frame is entirely built in zinc alloy, the stainless steel parts are the additional ones, that is: the compartment / battery cap, the base / airflow and the 510 adapter with respective super reliable coupling system.

With so many metal parts the weight of the Ursa goes from 153gr when empty to 173gr (pod version) to 193gr with 510 adapter, they are not few! However, even with a 21700 cell inserted, its portability remains excellent and not at all tiring, thanks to a form factor guessed in the smallest details, strongly inspired by that of the previous Grus Quest.

The design is a set of convexities, different materials, curves, bevels, grooves without sharp edges and lively lines that are always connected to each other in a sweet and functional way ensuring great ergonomics and tactile pleasure during the vape.

Lost Vape URSA 100W 6.jpg

Lost Vape URSA Quest 100W how it's made:
This sample is part of the color choice category called "SS Ukiran Leather" by Lost Vape.

The side view showcases the lively design of the Ursa with a thick leather insert in the center, with a high color density, with a very pronounced surface roughness. The texture and design of the leather insert vary from panel to panel.

The inscription "Ursa Quest" laser engraved and is placed vertically downwards. The writing on the other side (in the same position) is that of the Brand (Lost Vape).

Lost Vape URSA 100W 7.jpg

Lost Vape URSA 100W 8.jpg

The front and rear side are very interesting, at the top there are two opposing metal buttons that are used to operate the robust coupling / release mechanism of the pod and its accessories.

On the front side in a slightly recessed position there are the square-shaped fire button, the 0.96 "color oled screen, the Up / down adjustment keys with the Mode key in the center for quick access to the menu functions.
* The keys are all metallic with good tactile feedback.

The rear area under the eject button is completely smooth, the slightly rounded surfaces of both narrow sides favor the grip on the mod.

Mod

The Aegis Boost Pro is what we are used to see from Geekvape, silicone, leather, and zinc alloy frame with IP67 rating (waterproof, dustproof and shockproof). It offers a new quadra vaping system with a maximum power of 100W, upgraded user interface (bigger than the previous Boost Plus), also larger capacity of juice for the pod, USB-C, and a new series of coils (P Series Coils). The mod takes one 18650 battery.

At the top we have the connection for the pod, 510 adaptor and RDTA pod. At the front it has a clicky fire button, a 0.96” TFT colour screen and at the bottom the up/down buttons. On one side it has a covered USB-C charge port and Aegis branding. On the opposite side it has geek vape branding. At the back we see the usual and very comfortable leather stitching pad. At the bottom it has the battery door with vents, and it has clear markings for battery polarity.

The pod clicks in place, the user should be mindful of the way the pod goes just to make sure it is connected properly. I did not have any issues with this but just be sure after changing pods I will gently pull the pod.

IMG_468.JPG

The display on the mod is simple, bright, and easy to use. I just wish the battery indicator would have been a bit bigger.

To on and off the mod press fire button five times.

To change between the menu options, you press the fire button 3 times, once in the mode interface using the up or down button you can move between the following:
  • Power
  • TC-SS
  • TC-TCR
  • VPC
  • Bypass
Once in the mode interface if you press the fire button will move to the options under each one. To exit the mode interface, press the fire button.

To change the screen brightness, press the fire button and up or down button.

If buttons up and down are pressed at the same time it locks and unlock the device while the mod is still able to fire. When locked if you press the fire button 3 times will fully lock the device, wont be able to adjust or fire the mod.

To change the colours of the screen once in mode interface press the up and down buttons together, it will change between colours available.

Boost Pro Pod

NOTE: The boost pro pod is not compatible with the Boost Plus.

The boost pro pod comes with a 6ml capacity (2ml for the TPD version), uses press fit coils and it has a rubber plug at the top of the pod to fill. It has an 810 drip tip. If the use wants to use their own can only fit those drip tips with O-rings on them.

The pod is slightly tinted but I can still see the juice level.

IMG_0461.JPG

Geekvape redesigned the airflow ring, Gen 2. It has the well knows kidney shape design but now is at the top of the ring (less chances of blocking the airflow ring while holding the mod) and added two side airflows around the ring.

IMG_0462.jpg

The coils provided are:
  • P Series Coil KA1 0.2ohm – Rated for 60-70W
  • P Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm – Rated for 50-60
P Coils all in one.jpg

Always remember to prime coils first, press fit the coil into the base, fill with juice of your choice and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Just to make sure the coil is fully saturated.

I used first the P Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm, started at 35W, slowly went up to 55W, slightly warmer vape, but flavour is excellent. My prefer wattage for this coil is around 45W to 50W. Definitively a cloud producer.

With the P Series Coil KA1 0.2ohm is a warmer vape but full of flavour, I went up in watts but the vape became too warm for my liking. In saying so the flavour was excellent and for sure a could room filler.

Both coils are great, but I prefer the P Series Coil KA1 0.4ohm so far, this coil allowed me to vape at lower wattage with a cooler vape.

Boost Pro RDTA and 510 Adaptor

NOTE: Both are back compatible with the Boost Plus which is a big bonus.

The 510 adaptor will allow you to use this device as a mod and attach any tank of your choice.

The boost pro is a single coil RDTA, it features top and bottom airflow, the top airflow (8 holes on each side) has many options to adjust the amount of air desired. By turning the top cap, you can fine tune how many holes you want open. Unfortunately, the bottom airflow (airflow ring) is not adjustable which made the top airflow useless for me since is way too much air for my style of vaping. I wish they would have left the airflow ring adjustable just like the pod to give more control of the airflow to suit different vaping styles. Maybe something they could fix down the line.

IMG_510-RDTA.jpg

For my build I used fused clapton 3mm ID coil. A 3.5mm ID coil would have fitted fine too. Do not overstuffed the cotton (I learned the hard way), thin the tails and I did not cut them long since the movement of the liquid in the pod will help with wicking. Regarding the airflow I used the RDTA with a fully block top airflow and just bottom airflow. Good flavour and plenty clouds.

Aegis Boost Pro
Positives

  • Fires up to 100W.
  • Excellent flavour.
  • Versatile and compatibility with previous accessories which is very convenient.
  • As always excellent construction and finish.
  • Fast firing
  • Airflow ring Gen 2.
  • Two pods – G Series and P Series coils.
  • A wide variety of coils available which cover 15 to 38W and 50-70W.
  • Can use other 810 drip tips with O-rings.
  • Menu is colourful, easy to see and use.
  • No leaks.
  • Available 510 adaptor – turn the device into a mod.
  • Available RDTA – Easy to build on.
Negatives
  • The airflow ring on the RDTA is not adjustable. Hopefully, this will be fix in the retail version by either making adjustable like the pod or supplying some type of plug to block parts of it or completely.
Wishlist
  • Maybe 21700 battery version.
  • P Series or G series coil to cover 38-50W.

In conclusion, I would really recommend Geekvape Aegis Boost Pro, is a versatile device with plenty of accessories to cover a wide range of vaping styles and preferences, possibly not MTL since is quite airy. We know how well Geekvape does the Aegis line, so this is not a surprise. Provide excellent flavour with a wide range of coils plus an RDTA to do your own builds, in saying so the airflow ring on the RDTA needs to be adjustable.

I will like to thank @Geekvape_Official and Elliott from Geekvape for sending this amazing device and case for me to review and share with the community.

Perfect Replacement for Haus Sub-ohm has been a bust. Help?

Hi, everyone. I’ve been using the Haus sub-ohm craft mod kit for many years and now they’re out of business. I LOVED this system but being a bottom load tank with 0.3 threaded coils & threaded coils seem to be a thing of the past (these were smaller then any of the newer ones I’ve tried) I have been unable to find coils that I could use instead of the Haus brand (since they no longer exist).

I bought a vaperoso GTX & while the battery unit was fine, the tank didn’t give the same experience I was used to so I searched for a sub-ohm tank and purchased an “iSub” tank with “0.5 coil” as well as a “Falcon” tank with “F1 coils”.

My settings on my Haus were 27w, fully open air-holes with 0.3 coils. I absolutely despise giant mouth pieces. I do not want to feel like I’m sucking on the end of a tail pipe so I focused my search on ones with a skinny mouthpiece. I generally take long, deep vape pulls.

Unfortunately after trying both of these new tanks I’m noticing a massive taste difference in my Mt. Baker Vapor Extreme Ice 50:50 PG/VG juice. The mouthpiece on the iSub isn’t removable so I can’t replace it with the stainless 510 haus mouthpiece that I love though I did the swap it on the falcon. I really enjoy it when taking a really long vape drag and it feels like it’s “bubbling?” - I can think of no better way to describe it so I hope you know what I’m talking about and the Falcon I got none of that no matter how I toyed with the power settings or airflow. I do get it on the iSub but the permanent mouthpiece is a little too wide and the taste of my juice is very different. It feels like it lost a lot of the iciness. I never did a lot of research on Vaping once I switched from cigarettes, I just lucked out and found one I liked fairly quickly so now that my unit is discontinued I have no idea how to even figure out what unit, tank or coils would possibly give me the same experience as my Haus did. If there’s somewhere I can purchase coils that would fit my Haus, then that would be the preference. If anyone who is better educated on how each part changes the vape experience (especially anyone who has used Haus in the past) has any advice for me on how to remedy this, I would greatly appreciate it.

BP MODS Hilt MOD - review

Hi ECF members, In this review i take a look at the Hilt Mod from BP Mods. The BP MODS Hilt MOD was supplied for the purpose of this review by Dovpo who manufacture BP Mods products.

Hilt Mosfet Mod - Buy Hilt Mosfet Mod, Mosfet Mod, Mod Product on BP Mods - All For Experience

Introduction

BP Mods with designer Bruce are a new brand set-up in 2020 and have teamed up with Dovpo who manufacture their products. They impressed with their first product the Pioneer RTA and here we have the follow up the Hilt Mod which is a Mosfet powered, also referred to as semi-mechanical device which can be used in either 18650 or 18350 format. The Hilt has replaceable outer shells in both 18650 and mini 18350 sizes and two different sized beauty rings! The installed Mosfet is feature rich for a Mosfet board giving multiple safety protections, 3 different output settings and 3 tier battery status, let's give the Hilt a good look!

___________________________________________________________________

In The Box

Contents:

1 x Hilt Mosfet Mod
1 x Outer Shell
1 x 22mm Beauty Ring
1 x 24mm Beauty Ring
2 x User Cards

___________________________________________________________________

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The Hilt comes in the same impressive packaging as we saw with the Pioneer which immediately gives the impression something much better that the norm is within. On opening the outer shell, battery tube with protruding firing mechanism and two beauty rings all have their own compartments with two manual cards laid on top which are much more informative than is usually the case with a mosfet device.

The outer shell is Aluminium Alloy but thick and the tube is Stainless Steel and very weighty! When fitted together the form factor is supposed to represent the top section of a sword although i don't really see it but it is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and both ergonomic and compact in the hand, it feels very, very solid!!!!

The basic shape is tubular with flattened sides and the curvy front protruding out going from cylindrical at its base and tapering outwards to give it a top heavy look. We have a round Stainless Steel, protruding fire button up top on a slant with a little indicator light for alerts, settings and battery status. Up top with one of the substantial beauty rings which also form the 510 plate we have a Gold plated 510 fitted to the mosfet board, finally we have a bottom battery plate with cut-out halves and thin central bar. I received the Black version, at the time of writing the colour options are Everglade Green, Black or Silver.

___________________________________________________________________

Putting The Hilt Together

The battery tube needs pushing inside the outer shell from the top as the protruding top section with fire button interlocks into the top cut-out on the front of the shell.

First one of the beauty rings needs to be installed as they actually complete the 510 plate in fact the 24mm ring is just a flat surface while the 22mm is a more traditional beauty ring with protruding outer edge! The rings have a bayonet style fitting to secure in place but is very stiff and takes some effort to lock in place but that is good because it isn't going to move without physical persuasion!

When sliding the tube inside the outer shell it's quite a steady process as you can feel the pressure build as the O-rings move tightly against the inside of the outer shell making it a really snug fit, in fact once together if you didn't know it came apart you wouldn't guess it does, it looks like one complete unit!

___________________________________________________________________

BP Mods Hilt Mosfet 18350 Outer Shell

As a separate purchase you can buy one of the mini 18350 shells in either of the same available 3 colours. The battery tube is a two piece and can be unscrewed half way up to give two parts to the tube.

The battery plate needs unscrewing from the bottom section and where the bottom section of the tube was screwed to the top instead you screw the battery cap in place giving you a shorter battery tube. The smaller battery assembly then just gets pushed inside the Mini outer shell from above exactly as was done when in full size mode!

One of the cons in my opinion is because the Hilt is for either an 18650 or 18350 set up although having these shells available separately is a good thing as different colours can be purchased one should of been included with the main device!

___________________________________________________________________

Future Accessories!

The point of having removable outer shells is to allow customisation and BP Mods have already announced future accessories will become available. As well as the different coloured outer 18650 and 18350 shells they have mentioned the possibility of both Juma and Stabwood outer shells and fire buttons, Damascus beauty rings and battery tubes with different designs!

___________________________________________________________________

Fitting The Battery

Looking inside the tube whether extended for accommodating an 18650 battery or in short mode to accommodate an 18350 you can see the mosfet with contact fitted inside the top of the tube.

Every mosfet device i have used has been positive up and the narrow central bar on the battery plate i suppose could be argued it looks like a minus in shape. Indeed it is positive up and the device also has reverse polarity protection but i still want to see minus clearly labelled!

The threading on both the screw-in battery plate and tube is as good as it gets, the threading catches every time without issue and is silky smooth when tightening down on the battery, very high quality machining!

___________________________________________________________________

Operating The Hilt

Older mosfet devices i have basically are mechanical devices but with a simple chip giving safety protections. Lately more and more mosfet devices have also featured a constant output while the battery is capable of doing so usually 3.5V and more common to 18350 devices. The Hilt accommodates a Mosfet which hosts an impressive array of safety protections plus 3 constant output settings and 3 tier battery status indications. Mosfet devices are what are referred to as semi mechanical but really the Hilt Mod should be classed as semi regulated to be more accurate.

The device is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and off and both actions are confirmed by the LED cycling through Red, Yellow and Green. Once on you can choose between 3 different output settings which are Red = 3.5v, Yellow = 3.8v and Green which is max power. I have been using MTL set-ups on the device so not noticed any drop off in power but the fact Green is Max power rather than 4.2v is a clue that as expected with a mosfet device there will be no buck boost and the settings only give that voltage while the battery can and then it will reduce with the battery voltage! After saying that with a quite fresh battery i could really tell the power output difference between the 3 settings and of course the lower the setting you use the more consistency in power you will get throughout and will also experience improved battery life.

To change between settings is 3 quick clicks of the fire button and the LED will flash once in the new setting colour, while vaping the LED also lights up in the setting colour and stays on for 2 seconds after releasing the button before fading out giving plenty of time to check your setting!

The device also has 3 tier battery status indications:

50% - 100% = Green
25% - 50% = Yellow
0% - 25% = Red

You can check the battery status at anytime by pressing the fire button twice in quick succession and the LED will light up for 2 seconds in the colour which represents the current battery life, finally the LED also flashes to indicate alerts and protections!

___________________________________________________________________

LED Alerts and Protections:

Short circuit protection = 5 x Red flashes
Over current protection = 5 x Red flashes
Low resistance protection = 5 x Red flashes
Atomizer not properly fitted = 1 x Green flash
No Atomizer alert = 3 x Green flashes
Over temperature protection = 5 x Yellow flashes
Over-time protection (10secs) = 8 x Yellow flashes
Dead battery alert = 10 x Yellow flashes
Reverse Polarity Protection = No response from LED
Switching on and off confirmed = Cycle through Red, Yellow, Green

___________________________________________________________________

My Thoughts!

Apart from being a bit heavy for it's portable size there really isn't much wrong here and i can see this staying in my rotation switching between 18650 and 18350 formats which i have a fetish for (I love cute little 18350 devices)!

For safety reasons the mosfet has to go with the least capable battery (18350) so doesn't allow resistances below 0.45ohm which means even when using an 18650 you are limited to single coil RDL tanks with modest builds or MTL set-ups which will be a deal breaker for those that build lower but for someone like me who likes low wattage RDL and MTL styles then this is right in my ball park and the resistance limit also ensures good battery life from an 18650 and drawing 10amps max means something like a 30Q with 3000mAh can be used with piece of mind.

The build quality is exceptional and i love the whole idea of replaceable outer shells and rings etc allowing for customisation, can't wait for a stabwood outer shell and Damascus ring up top! Again being able to use in 18350 format makes what's already a portable stealthy device even smaller and sheds some of that weight.

It really hasn't missed a beat, firing out the gate with impressive ramp up and the fire button just feels quality! I like the power settings options and fit for purpose battery status indications, just overall very impressed!!!!!!!
