Hello and welcome to a new review by yours truly. Today I have the pleasure of talking about the Vaporesso Forz TX80 kit which has the logo of “ Rugged to go everywhere”. It has the bragging rights as the first vaping device with all around protections. I will do my best to give a fair and honest review so others can decide if it is something that would fit their style of vaping. Let’s go down and take a look.

You can see in the picture below how the fill ports on the top of the tank are partially blocked. I thought I was going to have trouble filling and making a mess but did not. I just took my time filling and had no messes to clean up.
First Impressions:
When I opened the package on the Forz TX80, it immediately reminded me of another mod that I own. However, the tank is quite a bit different from anything I’ve seen. The tank is encased in a rubber coating to protect it and it comes with a nice rubber cover for the drip tip to make it waterproof, shock proof, and dust proof.
As you can see in the pictures, the coils are quite large and are a push in type with no threading. The GTR coils are a big change from the GT coils that I am used to using in my Vaporesso tanks. Included in the kit are a .15 mesh coil rated at 60-80 watts and a .4 mesh coil rated 40-60 watts. I found that I liked the .15 coil at around 50 watts and the .4 coil closer to 40 watts.
I found it odd how light the top cap on this tank is. To me it seems too lightweight and the first few times I screwed and unscrewed the top cap and bottom cap, the threads were a little gritty. Included in the kit is what they are calling a screwdriver but I would call a key for taking the threaded insert loose underneath the top cap. I didn’t try the key but am assuming that once that threaded insert is removed then you can disassemble the tank for cleaning.
Now on to the Forz mod. I was very excited to try this mod with the new Axon Chip 2.0 which added the new F(t) mode. The Forz has all of the same modes as the original Axon chip which includes the pulse mode which I have been a fan of on the Gen mods. I did a comparison between the pulse mode and F(t) mode and felt like I got a more flavorful and denser vapor with the same wattage setting. The F(t) mode changes the output voltage and heating rate within a certain time, covering a wider temperature range. I could tell the difference and very much enjoyed it.
I’m not sure if it’s because I had muscle memory from another mod but I initially found the button configuration a little awkward. I had it in my head that the plus button would be on top and then the menu button in the middle and the minus button on bottom. That’s not the case. From top to bottom, it’s plus, minus, and then menu on the bottom. I quickly became accustomed to the set up.
The mod itself is very comfortable to hold with the leather wrap on the back. I liked the fire button feel also. I know it’s not recommended to charge batteries inside the mod but it does have a USB-C charging port. The battery cap on the bottom is very much like another mod that I own. The threads on it were smooth but you have to give it a little torque to screw it in all the way due to the o ring on the cap which seals it from water getting in. The display is a little small but definitely readable.
As far as operation of the mod goes, I like that it has the menu button which I think simplifies the operation for the end user. Five clicks of the fire button turns it on and off. Three clicks of the fire button will lock the wattage adjustment but still allows the fire button to operate. You can either press the menu button three times or long press it to open the menu. The modes are F(t), Pulse, Power Eco, Smart TC, DIY mode, System set, and exit. Once System set is displayed, then you press the menu button to get into the options. My instinct was to press the fire button but that just takes you out of the menu system.
Final Thoughts:
As I am sitting here looking at the Forz, I’m trying to think if there’s anything that I didn’t like on the sample kit that I received. I guess one thing is the cap on the tank. I feel like it’s too lightweight and to me the threading is a little awkward. I had one instance where I thought I had the cap on correctly but didn’t and ended up with it dumping about half a tank of liquid. I don’t necessarily blame the tank as I should have paid closer attention when testing a new device but it did happen. Other than that, the threads on the top and bottom caps of the tank had a grit feel to the threads. I’m assuming that was because it was a sample and would think that the production models would be smoother. I was thinking that it seemed a little odd to include a 60-80 watt coil with an 80 watt mod. Normally if I’m going to run that high then it’s going to be on a dual battery mod. Please keep battery safety in mind when trying to run settings that high. Don’t throw in a 10 amp battery and turn it up to 75 watts. I could definitely see a Forz 21700 in the future.
Ok, what did I like? Well, I very much like the hand feel of the mod and the weight is nice. The tank has a rubber coating to protect it and a cap is included for the drip tip so that it can be water and dust resistant with the airflow closed. The flavor produced by the tank was really pretty good and the vapor production was dense. I really liked the new F(t) mode which performed better in my opinion than the pulse mode which has been a favorite of mine on other Vaporesso mods that I own.
So, would I recommend it? If you’re looking for a shock, dust, water proof mod and tank in a single battery kit that produces good flavor and a generous amount of vapor then it might be a good fit for you.

Strong taste of nicotine in 3mg/ml?

Ive always vaped juices with 3mg Nic and have never been bothered by the taste of it. Now, a couple of weeks ago i quit smoking cigarettes and picked up my vapes again and orderes some new juices as well.
the problem is I get a strong and "peppery" taste of the nicotine and it feel like im vaping like 9mg juices. It really bothers me since I dont get the most flavour out of my juices.
Has someone experienced the same thing? what is going on? i bought 4 differens e-juices and there regular nic in 2 of them and salt nic-shots (for shortfills) in the other 2. they all taste the same in regards to that awful taste.
lets face it, im addicted to nicotine. i will eventually start vaping 0mg but if i do that right now, im afraid i will go back to the cancer-sticks

TC-Mode on Aegis Max
Hello everyone!
I´m picking up my new Max tomorrow with high expectations and a huge smile.
Only ordered the mod and not the sub-ohm tank since I will be using it with RBA:s.
I´d like to know more about your experiences with TC on this mod. All info and input are welcome. Maybe the Max is running the same hard/firmware as some other models? In that case, it would also be much appreciated.
