I read a lot of people on here have quit for a day, a week, a month. Are there any really great success stories in here? Anyone who has completely quit smoking cigarettes for six months or longer using E-cigs? Just curious if you are out there. I know a few people who have gotten the smoke51 from the mall, but they ended up going right back to smoking after a short time. or they use both cigarettes and the smoke51.

regards

i've been tobacco free since february 14 2009 (the first day i got my ecig). for reference previous to that i'd been smoking about half a pack a day for 9 years.

about a month ago i also inadveratnly also quit the ecig for about 30 days, until recently when i was getting "cravings" again so i picked up a dura c and alternate between low and 0 nic.

i never tried or intended to quit, just happened naturally. i enjoy the ecig and turned to that when my cravings returned instead of buying a pack of ciggarettes.

Just hit a month of being completely analog free !

I have no intention of going back to them... If there is some sort of ban, I will be making passthroughs myself, stocking up on atomizers and taking good care of the ones I have, mixing my own nic free juice and sticking a nicotine patch on my arm !! Basically do whatever i can to stay digital !!!

I've was a two pack a day smoker since I was 12 (20 years now).

This year, I've smoked for a month during the e-cig supplier issues. I smoked during March. I've been e-cigs for quite awhile now. *AND*, I can hang out with the smokers now without craving a real cigarette. I was actually offered one the other day by a co-worker and I thought about it and said, "actually, I don't need a real one. But I'll hang with you anyway."

That was this past Monday. I am proud. :)

Been vaping for 14 months now and hit my one year 'completely analog free' mark last month . Never missed them (no cravings for analogs whatsoever since I smoked the last one, I didn't even realise it was to be the last one at the time !), and have never looked back ! Only vaping Low (6mg) and 0 nic now.

IMHO Personal Vaporisers are the best invention since sliced bread !

Cheers,
Silver

Edit: just to clarify; my sig says 'Analog free since May '08'. The reason for this is that I am not sure exactly which day in April '08 I smoked the last analog, so I stick to May just to be sure ;-) .

I was 2 to 3 packs per day. 35 years as smoker.

I have not used an analog for 60 days now and I love vapping. Last week I wanted to make a test with an analog to see if I can smoke it. With the very first drag I wanted to puke and couldn't stand the smell.

Also, 2 days ago I went a camping and had to walk about 6 miles on a hard slope. I did it without difficult. I was not able to do it before!!

E-cig save me and my family. I will vap for ever!

Now I am using medium, low and 0 nic juice. Most of the day I use 0 nic. I have not thinking on giving up vapind. I like it very much and I am enjoying all the issues that come with it. For example, this is my very first time that I participate in a forum.

And also, It is the very first time that smoking can give me and income (I will start selling e.cig in colombia this month :D)

Smoked a pack a day for 13 years, got my e-cig a couple weeks ago, really haven't looked back. I smoked one analog each day for the first two days. Went a few days clean, then had two puffs of one the other day and I was COMPLETELY grossed out by it in pretty much every way: taste, smell, feel. It really was like licking an ashtray. Whatever the future holds for e-cigs, I will not be going back to analogs.

Same here, 2 packs a day for 26 years, quit analogs on my first day and will never go back. I have since quit vaping as well and now have no desire to smoke.

Whatever happens with e-cigs I too will never go back to analogs. More on principal than anything else (which drives me). If gov't and big tobacco get e-cigs banned for the purpose of holding on to the taxes and profits, they will not be getting anymore money from me.

I am a happy success story and so is my spouse
both of us, stopped 7 months ago, picked up the ecig and never looked back

and I smoked at least 3 packs a day for over 30 yrs and probably for the last year prior to stopping I had been smoking closer to 4 pks, due to lots of road travel and no sleep

but I did it and I cannot go back, I cannot go back I cannot go back
