2nd build

Okay so not sure if this is the right section or not but its the only relevant place I could find. .

My first build was okay coils turned out fine but the wicking and position of the coils where terrible. So I decided to have another go.

Opinions appreciated.

Using smok xpro m80
Plume veil v1.5 clone
26gauge kanthal
Wrapped around a 2mil precision screwdriver.
8 or 9 wraps can't remember.
And reading at .46 ohms

P.s don't know why the coils look like there glowing purple but I promise their not haha.

Those are about the Coolest Looking coils I have seen in a Long Time.

Looks OK to me... although the legs are a little on the long side. Wicking fit and density look good. If you're using the full 50 watts, you're running a nice, moderately warm 241 mW/mm² heat flux.

If you run thicker wire, with no other adjustments to compensate, your heat flux will drop substantially.

Agree 100 on the legs. Trial and error I suppose. Only reason I was saying about wire is at around 35-40 watts it still feels like a cool vape if I was to go over that it does it slightly warmer. A lot more vapor but its drinks juice like made maybe 3-4 pulls then its time to drip again or is that normal for a dripper?

Thinner wire and/or lower resistance will get the heat flux up without resorting to higher wattage. Click on my first two sigline hyperlinks below.

Normal... getting something with a deeper juice well will reduce drip frequency - but it won't really change how much juice you're sucking down. ;-)

Yes, sounds typical. I get 3-4 hits on a drip.
