So I've seen the Bacon flavor on TFA and wondered about that flavor with all the "bacon" rave thats been trending recently especially in fastfood and county fairs. Then I saw a recipie online for Bacon Maple Cheesecake and it had great reviews!
Maple Bacon Cheesecake Recipe : Stacey Poon-Kinney : Recipes : Food Network

So I ordered Bacon TFA, Cheesecake TFA, and Maple TFA. I read on ECF first that cheesecake TFA takes about 2 weeks to steep but Im going to make a few batches with different levels of flavoring and try and "speed steep" some and let some go a full 2 weeks. I have to say the Bacon smelled soooo bad when I got it, Im scared/sick to use it! In fact its sooo strong Im keeping it in the garage! lol!

Im going to use: Cheesecake TFA
Bacon TFA
Cinnamon TFA
Pecan TFA
Vanilla Bourbon TFA
Brown Sugar TFA
Maple TFA
Ghramcracker TFA (for crust, I dont have a cookie flavoring)
Sweetner TFA

So we'll see how this goes, if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! Todays gonna be a stinky day as the cheesecake smells like feet, and the bacon is just....terrible! :p

I say trust your nose!

I don't have TFA Bacon, but that's what you have to do with TFA Black Sesame (Smells Awful)!

Great idea! Thanks :) ...yes the bacon is sooo strong, I can't keep it in the house...I smell it when I get within 8 feet of it and the bottle is closed! I'm storing it in the garage atm.

UPDATE: "Speed steep*" Test batches....COMPLETE!....With success! :toast: (imo)

Okay, so the 3 speed steep* test batches are complete. I've currently only tested one of them, as finished product as far as I'm concerned and am back with my initial results to report. I made three speed steep* vials and three 2 week vials, which are currently maturing as stated in my initial post. Heres what I did with the speed steep* batches.

First, as recommened by michaelsil1 (ty :3) I diluted the bacon TFA, 5 drops bacon, 5 drops TFA sweetner to 10ml of PG. I speed steeped* then let mature for 5 hours. Shaking once per hour or there abouts. It smelled better but still pretty dang strong! Then I proceeded to make my 3 test batches.

Three speed steep* batches all 15ml total product. All three ratio blend aprox 40%VG (including 5% Distilled water), 40%PG (including my Nic PG @ 6%) and 20% total flavors stated above. Not to go into too much detail, one containing more bacon flavoring, one stronger on the cheesecake, and one more evenly mixed with my experience and likings. I speed steeped* all 3, then shook for 20 seconds. Then let set about 12 hours. Speed steeped* again, shook and set till late morning or about 10 hours. Shook again and then again every 2 hours at room temp for 8 hours. I then smell tested each vial and I prefered the one that had more bacon flavoring, believe it or not! Yet I felt it needed a few adjustments on flavoring and VG/PG blend. I made and noted all my adjustments and then yet again speed steeped and shook, then l let cool to room tempature and refrigerated for 1 hour. Shook again for 1 minute and smelled it, and was pleasantly suprised by the aroma! It smelled, really good! LMAO So I loaded a fresh top coil wick to an empty T2 clearo, let it get moist and attached a freshly charged 650mah battery.
I cleaned my palate, as I had been vapin' peachy raspberry sour and drinking Great Value BerryBlast Mio nock-off all day. Took my first deep inhale and exhale. It was brilliant! It has a sweet inhalation of maple with light pecan nutty blend and light "bacony" sweet taste with a pronounced after note of sweet brown sugar. Upon exhate, I could firstly definately taste the cheesecake...its a REAL rich cheesecake like plain NY cheesecake taste very rich and lightly sweet with a medium bacon warm taste following with a ghramcracker note shadowed with a faint ponder of cinnamon...like," Do I taste cinnamon? I might be, but not quite sure...hmmm, intresting." In between my vapes I only then could taste a pleasantly medium strength vanilla and a cheeseycakeybacony goodness at times, very light! Thats the best I can describe this gamble of a flavor! It came out good probably cause its complex, other great flavs combining to apease the taste buds. Now as it steeps longer, I have no idea how it will taste, which flavors will grow stronger or which will weaken. Just have to wait and see.

As far as my recipe goes for a speed steep* I do not feel comfortable at this time to release an official recipe, but I will post advisement of a mixture, use your nose and use your DIY better judgement. "Test" recipe is as follows....

1.5 Cheesecake TFA
.50 Vanilla Bourbon TFA
.50 Ghramcracker TFA
1 Brown Sugar TFA
1.25 Maple TFA
1 Pecan TFA
1 Sweetner TFA
4 Drops Cinnamon TFA
10 drops of Bacon TFA mixture (see above for mixture specs)
10 VG (with 5% distilled water mixed)
12 PG (with Nic PG mixed)

This yields about 30ml finished product, (actually about 25% flavoring total) which in the end is the finished amount of my speed steep* test. Adjust accordingly to you liking. Looking at my notes, this is aproxamately what I used on my first run, that I've been vaping now for about 2.5 hours. It isn't an "all day" vape but more like a snacky vape, a craving indulgence vape, that you have every so often...and not because of the bacony taste but of the full bodied richness of this blend.
The way the bacon TFA tastes makes me feel that this diluted Bacon TFA with PG & sweetner would go well with carmel, toffee, maple, white chocolate, honey flavorings of the like. Right off the bat, when I thought about the "bacony" flavor this produced that my next bacon adventure will probably be a Maple cured Hickory smoked bacon & red apple, all TFA.
Well, thats all to report for now, still vapin' on my Maple bacon cheesecake atm....I also noticed few posts here of people saying not to speed steep* Bacon flavoring, well I just did...and so far so good, hope it only matures better! So don't fear that Bacon flavor, but mix in your garage or outside lol, cause in its pure form, one sniff will put hair on your chest!

FYI~ I used a top coil long wick in a T2 clearo as thats my least favorite of my stash supplies, so if this blend was hidious, I could just toss out! So this flavor could be different and most likely will be with different hardware.

*Speed steep~ I microwaved water in a coffee mug till almost boil point, very hot and set my open bottle in the hot water in the mug and let set till cooled. Do not let water get into your mixture vial.

Wow!! Excellent post! I'm impressed by your thoroughness and it sounds delicious. I'll definitely try this one.

I'm going to be trying a variation of this - a bacon, pineapple, brown sugar and clove mixture (think of a baked ham studded with cloves and topped with pineapple rings and a sprinkling of brown sugar). I'm hoping the bacon will take the place of the ham.

It'll be awhile since I have to wait for my bacon to arrive. (I almost ordered it once but ended up putting it back. This thread had inspired me to take the plunge.)

Following your lead a few days ago I ended up making a couple of test batches using bacon. I made something simple with waffle and bacon flavor. After that another batch using Hangsen RY1, cinn Danish swirl, graham cracker and bacon. A couple days ago I decided to just mix both those batches together and have been vaping it 2 days now.

Awesome! That sounds great! Bacon, pineapple, brown sugar and clove! Just be sure to dilute the bacon and use it sparingly, its a strong one, but nice flavor combo! Bacon with the pineapple and the sweetness of the brown sugar with the savoriness of a clove, very innovative on a "Ole Sunday Classic Dinner". I can suggest with my experience of the bacon TFA flavor use it diluted and the pineapple is strong too, so use it lightly and use TFA sweetner as well, as the brown sugar TFA may not be enough to fully envoke the flavors to their full potential. Good Luck Barbara21!

UPDATE: Two week batches complete!

Well, its been a few days past 2 weeks but all 3 test batches came out, well, about the same! I noticed when speed steeping, the flavor variances need to be quite percise, as when you let steep naturally at room temp for a full 2 weeks the flavors combo more full-morphicly. So my advice is to use the above recipe and speed steep it, or let it ride the full 2 weeks naturally and you get a really nice decadent vape flav!

I will be trying some new Bacony goodness recipes soon, and I will post as I feel they are a success.

*Things I've learned using Bacon TFA:
1. Dilute it, 5 drops Bacon TFA & 5 drops TFA Sweetner to 10ml of PG let "natural" steep 12hrs.(Or speed steep as above indicated in my posts)
2. Use alot of sweetner when using Bacon TFA in your final product for flavor maturity.
3. Use in combonation of multi flavor recipes for best result.
4. Have an open mind, imagination and use with common sense!
5. Store the Bacon TFA concentrate some place else! I've been keeping mine in the garage....and for a while it was fine, but now with our +100F temps here in South Texas....my garage stinks! Crazy! I don't know what to do with this flav concentrate!...Burry it in a small coffin and only dig it up on a full moon after September 21st! LOL
