Hello fellow drippers. I saw @lutses recommendation for the Bo'sun atty and after reading about it I couldn't help but pull the trigger. I have an itchy trigger finger and severe cases of the shinyitis and the gottahavums. Here is the link where I purchased it:

The Bo’sun Atomizer – SWMO Vape Shop

This thing looks sick:
The Bo’sun Atomizer
$45.00

-Affordable, quality authentic atomizer designed by B. Crane over the better part of a year and built with assistance from A. Tran of Vaperz Cloud

-Initially conceptualized while seeking solutions for supreme temperature control builds,
The Bo’sun has also been comfortably run at over 550W with premium wires. Build at your own risk.
-22mm cap
-Original design yields the greatest advancement in top airflow atomizers
-Internal AFC fins rest against juice well to minimize the risk of coil to topcap contact
-Almost 8mm deep by 17mm diameter juice well
-22mm overall outer diameter by 41.5mm total height
-Polished SS finish with mechanical engraving
-510 threaded only
-1.5mm or greater protruding positive pin perfect for hybrid connections (adjustable and removable)
-Serialed 1-500
-Unique airflow design concentrates top airflow directly above coils
-AFC can be removed for the widest top airflow of any 22mm rda on the planet
-Side airflow can be completely sealed for maximum flavor production
-Top airflow ring and side airflow are both fully adjustable 360 degrees
-Two post design features a total of 4X 2.5mm post holes to accommodate massive amounts of wire
-Peek insulator
-Quality hex grub screws will solidly grip 11 awg to 32 awg
-Atomizer utilizes standard 510 drip tip (not included) or accommodates 12mm tips when air multiplier is removed
-Spare orings, screws, insulator, and tool included in each box

Does anyone have any experience with this atty? Ever heard of it? I really like how they pointed out the protruding posi pin for use on hybrid top caps (of which I have quite a few). This thing screams cloud chaser + great flavor! I hope I am not disappointed...

I just order one and they do ship to Canada and I assume in most other country also. I just email them and they told me they could ship I just had to put their own state and zip code for the website order form so it accept and tell them my real address.

I think they do the charging manually in shop so they can correct with the proper address even if the form is US only.

Be sure to email them before so they take care of the international shipping and credit card.

Very Nice folks answer email very quickly.

Now I have to wait till it get here.
EDIT:Their email is hard to find I just register to an new account and reply to their welcome email

Just got mine today. Nice packaging, and build quality is very good, though the grub screws may be a bit soft. First built with vertical dual parallel coils at around 0.15 ohm. Top of the atty/AFC ring and drip tip got HOT. Way too hot for me. Largely due to the proximity of the tops of the vert coils to the bottom of the atty dome. Tried dual vertical single strand 22 gauge Kanthal at around 0.20 ohm. Much nicer. Easy to build, big juice well, all the things we suspected looking at pics. Air flow is superb, and easily dialed in for personal preference.

For an authentic at less than $50 bucks, it's a winner.

I just got mine earlier today!! Since I am at work, and away from my build stuffs, I threw in the included prewrapped wires. .26 Ohm with some Elfwick Hemp. Easy to build is an understatement. Large postholes and deep juice well as @entropy1049 mentioned. Nice side and top airflow. The short time Ive had this, I love it.

1 thing I'm not so keen on just yet is the topper. The top cap/afc fits inside the sleeve and is inserted through the bottom, press fitted and held in place with an o ring. You can accidentally press it down. The posts (or maybe its the juice well as mentioned in the description?) stop it from going too far down but it is kinda weird. Not a huge issue, just something I am not used to I guess.

Alright BOSUN testers, I put another build into this beast and man is it better. Flavor is amazing and the clouds are phenomenal! 3x .8mm Ribbon stacked & paralleled with 26g Royal wire. 3mm ID, 7/6 wraps & resistance = .13

I can fill up the well and suck down the juice in 3 vapes. Anywhere within 80 to 90 watts is pleasant (with a minute or so between pulls). Over 90 and this sucker gets hot, as you mentioned @entropy1049 . Great vape though. The draw is just right for me (D2L), not too airy but certainly not restrictive. I am very pleased with this RDA.

Receive mine today fast shipping considering US-Canada. Shipped last Saturday, came to my door today, Thursday.

In the box there the atty, a few spare o-ring, spare grub screw, Allen key and a small description paper and
2 coils 0.26 ohm in dual mode.

Look great on my mechanical

For those concern with the tip pushing down I don't think is that much of an issue it will rest on the juice well wall not touching anything

One cons is the top airflow cannot be close completely. Not really a problem with me but if you want a really restrictive airflow this is the minimum is

If you turn it further you see the other hole opening
eug1mo.jpg

So maybe that the minimum

Also because the top airflow doesn't close completely you cannot run it side airflow only.

So far so great, I only spend 15 minute with it with the stock coil. Deep well, velocity style post with huge post hole so seem easy to build on.

Cheers

Oh, @entropy1049 , is that the Bigfoot box in your pic?

It is indeed. A fine mod. Big, but bulletproof and functional. Goes bang every time you pull the trigger. If you don't mind a larger box, I recommend it without reservation.

I have one in the mail, should have it tomorrow. Nice looking build.
Thanks! My first time stacking ribbons. Kinda hard to keep them together when wrapping them parallel with another wire.
I don't think you'll be disappointed with this RDA.

I just saw them for $25 on a random site. Think I will pull that trigger, thanks!

A word of caution. If you build a very large coil. I build a dual twisted reverse twist quad 28 gauge, 6 wrap on 1/8" drill bit. Put the AFC tab toward the post. Because the AFC/drip tip may touch the coil. I went from 0.20 ohm to a 0.10 ohm as soon as a put the top cap and it touch the coil. Always check your ohm after the build:thumbs:

I am noticing eliquid around the 510 connection every single time I pull the atty off. May be my fault based on my errant dripping habits or may be juice that sits at the base and gets pushed down when slapping the top cap back on, or both. I notice a good amount of juice lingering around the o ring and base.

No trouble so far, but I'll be keeping an eye out. Thanks for the tip!

They have new Wide Bore Drip Tip that you can use if you remove the AFC/Drip Tip adapter in 4 colors

Thanks, not sure how I missed this when I bought it. They offer free shipping on it though, so yeah. Imma pick up the red one!
Also, my wicking is to blame for the juice surrounding the base of the Atty. my coils are so long that the wicks sit against the walls and juice makes its way down the sides every time I place the top cap back on.
Flavor is wonderful on this thing. The airflow is different, than any atty I've tried, when wide open (top and bottom). I'm gonna try different coil builds to get it just right.

I think they just add it yesterday. I saw it on facebook yesterday and it was only a few hours old announcement about the new tips.
