Hi, this is my first post . Just wanted to see if anyone could help.

Im vaping on a vaporesso tarot nano 20W with banana nut bread ejuice from vapes.com
70%PG 30%VG 6ml nicotine. I forgot to prime the coil when putting a new one in . Tasted burnt obviously so i changed the coil again, priming it this time, emptying the juice and rinsing everything, then replacing juice and letting coil soak for 20 minutes, somtimes a whole night before hitting it again. I repeated this about 5 times with a new coil each time and priming it. Always tastes burnt. Finally i took everything apart, soaked it alcohol overnight then reassembled, put a new coil in, primed it, let it soak , took a few hits without pressing the button , still tastes burnt. do you think when i burnt the cotton from that old coil theres some crusted residue in there that keeps giving me the burnt taste? That juice used to taste amazing in my ecig. wondering if its ruined.

Maybe a dumb question, but are you re-using the same juice?

If not, are you starting at a very low power setting after the priming & saturation process? You indicated that you did take a few un-powered draws, but were the first few draws at low power?

Could be a dumb question but are the coils good up to 20w? Are you sure its 70PG and not 70VG? 70PG is a very harsh throat hit. PG holds flavour better and produces a throat hit like a cig. VG makes clouds and is a little sweet, no throat hit. What tank is it? If it can handle 70VG I'd try that, if not 50/50 is the highest PG I'd use.

Try vaping with a different juice and a new coil. (Preferably from another pack in case you got duds). If that doesn't fix the problem, I wouldn't have a clue what else to do, but this is making not a lot of sense. If you can, you might take it to a vape shop and see if they can find a magic fix for you, that does sometimes happen.

Did you clean out the 510 connection pin yet? I'm wondering if with all the coiling/juicing/etc that some may have gotten down in there, but I can't quite wrap my mind around how doing that would actually affect the taste of your ejuice, but it's the only thing I can think of. Best of luck, and I'm hoping it's just something simple you haven't spotted yet. Is your tank glass or PVC? Could some of the burnt ejuice off-gassed into your tank itself, the glass/PVC part? If you got high temps and enough burnt in there, I'd think that might be more possible? You may need to replace just the glass itself, not the entire tank, if such a thing is possible.... That does seem a more likely scenario than the pin, though.

This may seem counter-intuitive, but try it. Close the airflow. Using the coil that tasted the least bad, do a few unpowered hits. Then set the airflow wide open. Then VERY EASY hit it direct to lung. Then turn up the power to about 30 and try another easy one.

I have the Estoc, not the Veco. Both take the same coil though, and neither the cotton nor the ceramic provide any output of the juice's flavor below 25w. I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, what you're thinking is a burnt hit is just that nastiness of a musty coil that's not doing any throughput.

My Estoc with either wick type maxes out at around 40w, so somewhere between 30 and 40 should be the right spot for that tank.

FWIW, one of my favorites is also a banana nut bread juice, but it's max VG (~80%).

I was going to suggest the same. I don't use tanks at all, but I don't think that matters: an underpowered coil can be pretty awful no matter your device. Anyway, seconding this thought, keep us posted!

Nowhere in this thread do I see what the nicotine level is of the juice in question or the ohms of the coil. Are you vaping juice with too high of a nicotine content for the coil you are using?
The nic level could be helpful to know, but the EUC Coil is either 0.3 or 0.5.
