DIY ADV - What's your recipe?

I am a total newbie to DIY and to this forum actually but i thought it might be interesting to get some info together about what flavors make for a good ADV.

I love a dark, rich vape and I'm playing with a Boba's Bounty style juice but I know it wont wind up there. It'll end up being something quite different and I'll share once I get that.

So I thought I'd ask around, what do you like? Have a great recipe? What flavors "Do it" for you?

I'll start with an easy one.

5% Double Ry-4 (TPA).
Okay shake and vape. Best after 20 days plus.

I vape with a 75/25 PG/VG 24 mg/ml Nic pre-mix. I add some Perique Black and some Key Lime flavors to that. I'm up to about 3% of each flavor, and probably won't go any higher. I get the base and the flavors (Flavourart & The Flavor Apprentice) from MyFreedomSmokes.

I specialize in bakery flavors. Could look at a Sugar Cookie Recipe:
Recipes Only - Page 4
Very simple and basic. I use a form of this recipe and have added other ingredients to highlight my particular tastes.
Example:
CA SC up 3%- because I like the cookie taste (can go higher).
(TFA or CA)VC down 3%- like less cream.
Added: Marshmallow @ 2% to sweeten, plus AP@ 0.2% to bring out bakery, plus Butter @ 2% because I like it, etc..

Strawberry & Cream
Inawera Shisha Strawberry 15.6%
TFA DX Bavarian Cream 5.7%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 4.3%
CAP Sweet Cream 1.9%
TFA Sweetener 2.5%

The first 4 are odd amounts because they all started off higher, and I decreased them by 5% to bring down the gunk-factor a little. And the sweetener can go as high as 3.3%, but that's VERY sweet; I typically keep it about 3%.

I've vaped this as my ADV for over a year. This flavor never gets old.

One of my adv is
4.5% CAP NY Cheesecake
4.5% TFA Vanilla Swirl
6% CAP Vanilla Custard

I've been enjoying this a lot too...
RWHY 4 (not my recipe)
10% TFA Double RY4
5% TFA Caramel Candy
5% TFA Bavarian Cream
and I add 2.5% TFA Vanilla Swirl.

And I'm steadily reducing % of flavoring. My first DIY batch last July was 3.5% cuppucinno flavor by capella. That percent was causing a touch of mouth irritation. Today I'm vaping it at 0.9%. Going forward I think I'll try to keep flavoring to a minimum and see how that goes.

I just checked my DIY calculator for the cost of the above minimalist recipe with 0.9% flavoring plus my usual 12 mg nic and it works out to 1.12 cents per ml so the daily cost of my 6 ml vape is about 7 cents. That's so cheap it's funny.

Very cool, much as I dont like sweet vapes, I'll hhave to check this one out.

Here is one that I liked within a few days, now it's been almost two weeks and is delicious. I post this now, because I am vaping it and this is better than any premium juice I have bought.

Scutch

7% RY4 Double
3% Butterscotch
3% Pistachio or the alternative Toasted Almond (I don't have pistachio so I used toasted almond, but the guy who made it gave the alternative)
3% Vanilla Swirl
2% Bavarian Cream
2% Caramel Candy

All tfa, but if you have the same flavor from another company try it. My caramel is from capella and I think it works well here.

My mil I hate abbreviating that, but her flavor profile is strawberries and vanilla. And I want a strawberry that says wow! And according to Andria that is the Shisha. So I am excited about trying it, and mixing her strawberries and cream recipe.

If you decide you do really like it, the best place to order it in quantity (100ml is what I usually order) is e-aromashop.com -- Poland, but a MUCH better price than inawera.com -- e-aromashop's price WITH the VAT added is lower than inawera's with the VAT removed -- and the only way I've ever seen described to get them to drop the VAT for those of us outside the EU is to order it via the VERY expensive DHL shipping. Screw that! The registered airmail is only about $5, and I get it inside 2 wks.

After failing miserably with DIY for the first year and a half and losing friends who i made the mistake of giving free samples to with one good friend saying to me " your juice was the most grotesque juice i have ever experienced in my life and now i know you never considered me a friend because no friend would ever give another friend what you gave me .

I lucked out and found the below website and i have to say the stuff rated 5 star and with lots of reviews is a must try recipe .

My personal favorite is "Mothers milk" but the "Unicorn Milk" that was a leaked "Cuttwood" recipe is very very good .

Can't go wrong with the original recipes and cloned recipes on these pages.

Sometimes you get it right, other times, not so much.

Like in music, listen to everyone around you then copy what works for you and move it forward for the next guy to steal.

I'm narrowing down on a clone (AVE Bobas bounty, hey I go for the classics ) from an initial recipe:
3% Cinnamon Danish
3% Graham Cracker
6% Black & Mild
1% Coconut
1% Mts Vape Wizard

When I threw this together initially, the base notes in the black and mild came on too strong, so I'm dialing it back. Still working on the tweaks but if anyone's "been there done that" and can advise a newbie, please do.

Never had the original, but the below is pretty awesome and I'm told it's very close if not spot on. ..
