Can anyone recommend me a simple (3 flavours max) fruity recipe that is good for an ADV? I just want something I can use and make simply whilst I am experimenting and tweaking with more complex ones.

If you like peach flavor, try FA White peach. It's the best there is. Just 2% will do, all by itself.
Another that I like is Black Berry From TFA. I mix just 4% with tobacco for a wonderful flavor.

I just tried adding some raspberry to 7Leaves tobacco flavor from FA. That is my favorite tobacco. The result is wonderful, but it needs a bit of sweetness. I don't like adding sweeteners, but perhaps Dragon's fruit will achieve the same result. I have tried it all by itself and it is just great.

Now that it is pay day, I have ordered myself a selection of new flavours to make a couple of the above examples, some more VG, and some scales and funnels.

Will keep you guys posted....

Good luck. And don't get discouraged! It took me several months before I perfected my ADV but it was well worth the effort. I have literally saved thousands in juice costs over the years[emoji106]

If those 4 flavorings are the only ones you have so far...and you're trying to make a recipe with them, I'm afraid you're probably out of luck. You have 3 primary flavorings and 1 secondary, or blender. You need other secondary or blending flavorings, like some of these: Sweet Cream, Bavarian Cream, Marshmallow, Whipped Cream, Banana Cream, Vanilla Custard, Vanilla Swirl, etc., and some sweetening flavorings, too. Most recipes call for 1 or both of some common ones...like TFA Sweetener and/or TFA Cotton Candy. They're called by names that will vary from 1 manufacturer to another. For example, I think the CAP version of TFA Sweetener is called SuperSweet, and it's much sweeter than the TFA.

A simple 3 flavoring recipe that a bunch of my friends like is a version of a NannerBerry eliquid I make for them:

TFA Strawberry Ripe - 9%
TFA Banana Cream - 6%
TFA Cotton Candy - 2%

You could use your CAP Strawberries & Cream instead though, IMO. And the other 2 TFA flavorings above don't have to be TFA, if you'd rather get CAP. Might need to adjust the % for each one though, as how strong they are does tend to be alittle different from 1 maker to another.

Or...try first what dannyv45 recommended above. Lots of new DIY do some mixes with their One Shot Flavors and/or One Shot Blends first...to get the hang of DIY.

I just go with around 5% Forest Fruit and maybe 2% VBIC and 1 % Fresh Cream . You can't mess up FF.

I have just finished making the above 2 recipes. Thanks again for those.

Just out of interest, how long do you steep those particular recipes?

The NannerBerry's usually good as soon as it's made. You could give it a try and see what you think. If you don't taste much of the Banana Cream yet...just give it a shake every now and then while letting it sit for a few days. Then try it again. Everyone's sensitivity to different tastes varies, so you'll discover what yours is for the flavorings in that recipe.

It never ends. :p

I wish I could remember who to credit, but for a few months I've been regularly knocking out an easy tropical-ish recipe...

Mango, Mandarin, CP Lime and Coconut.

I use all FlavorArt (thus the "Cold Pressed" Lime) so I just drip from the FA dripper bottles into my juice bottle and top off with pre-mixed PG/VG/Nic base (a lot of us do this).

It's an easy yet semi-complex flavor (no concerns about dairy etc. percentages or steeping) and can be adjusted or used as inspiration for other flavors you might prefer.

I just started DIY about a month ago (after deeming regs), and I'm still figuring it out. So far, I've found that low flavoring % seems to be working out for me.

However, I may have to try one or two of the recipes I've seen floating around. I haven't made any liquid over about 8% flavoring, so I might be missing out.

BOOM!

It really depends... which flavoring, what retail juices you've used and liked, personal preferences, dead palate (that one's mine ;) ).

Most retail juice is very strongly flavored. A lot of that may be serving the MTL market or a holdover from that... we blow through a lot more juice lung hitting.

Many (most?) DIYers agree that as we learn and experiment, we use less and less flavoring for the same satisfaction... or we're all cheap. :p

That said, different brands vary significantly... 8% of FlavorArt would take my head off.

:D

By the way, I still buy the occasional modestly priced juice, because it's so tasty, but being so strongly flavored... it's not unusual that I'll cut it with something complimentary of my own making.

ETA: Flavoring is cheap, even more so for a retail company buying in bulk.
What surprises me is that there's no price differential for different nic levels.

I'm happy that you both like it! Several of my friends tell me I better not ever quit making it for them! Hmmm, makes me think I need to come up with something, or some way, they can reciprocate for me (ie. 1 makes really good BBQ ribs, another makes a to-die-for blueberry cobbler, one's an auto mechanic, etc.). :D

And you're right Ben...it's definitely a good one for shake and vape. That's 1 of the reasons I like it, too. Pretty much everything I make is shake and vape. I don't really like waiting after I've made a new batch. :)

I've got some simple other recipes, too. Do you like a choc. mint flavor, as in the Andes little rectangular chocolate & green creme-de-menthe mint candy? Or how about Key Lime Pie?

I'll also confess to buying a couple of flavorings/blends from OSDIY Shop that dannyv45 and several other people have recommended. (I actually bought them originally to give some samples to a few people I'm helping learn how to DIY. Thought they'd be a good, simple way to mix something to learn on.) But, I made some for myself, too, and have been vaping 1 of them almost non-stop for 2 days!

They have some flavorings that are called One Shot Blends and others that are One Shot Flavors. I bought some of the Lucky Shot (Blend) and some of the Baked Cinnamon Roll (Flavor). Both are wonderful, in smell and in taste! And...all you do is add some of either one to your PG, VG, and Nic...and you're good to go! I used 10% for each one when I made a small batch of each. Then I decided to bump up the % for the Lucky Shot to 12%, and I like it better.

They now offer 1st Class Mail shipping for smaller orders, which saves a bunch of $$. So, if you want to try the Lucky Shot or the Baked Cinnamon Roll, or any of the ones dannyv45 really likes (ie. Strawberry Milk, Blue Raz Slushie, etc.)...it wouldn't cost you much to do it! I'm going to try the Olde Time Root Beer myself. Kimberly (one of the owners of OSDIY Shop) said it's great, and several others have said the same on here.

Excellent.
Even with TFA/TPA, I'd think those percentages are a touch on the high side.
The dairy will do well with a bit of aging/melding (steeping)... if you can, do a small bottle at 50-60% of that and let it sit for 3 weeks.

Then compare it to where your shake&vape preferences are by then.

The experiments only stop when you're not feeling an interest in them.
I'm amusing myself this week with Menthol... not a flavor I'm fond of. Yet. :p

I am enjoying all this DIY malarkey.
WOW! Malarkey? That was a swift kick to the plums! Many of us that hail from the Late Great Church of DIY have traded in our very souls for your "malarkey!" (Well... maybe a spouse or two. And I have to keep the frozen pizzas under what used to be her side of the mattress because their freezer is full of my DIY supplies. And my golfing is down to only two times a week {still can't crack 100 dang it!}) Speak with reverence about our fair and sacred art!
Honestly though; thanks for sharing the recipe. But be cautious about the "next time I might add... " thoughts as they usually lead to the 12 flavor recipes that I have shamefully clogged my notebooks with.
