Yes, I'm unsure about the formalities, and all laws are made for lawyers to understand, anyone who does not have all the necessary degrees cannot possibly understand any of it, that's why there are so many people paying either too much (usually the poor) or not enough (the rich who can afford lawyers to look for loopholes).
I once asked my accountant if they actually understood fully why something had to be done in a particular way ...and she admitted that they don't, but comply to keep things running smoothly for their clients!

Capitalism at it's best, unfortunately Socialism and Communism are just as bad, maybe we should follow the Swiss model of Federalism, whereby laws cannot be brought in unless the majority of the people agree to them.
Swiss eh? I like how they tick ....do they take English immigrants?

Nothing brilliant today - no mail, got to go through a step by step process with the dermatologist before they'll try biologics drugs, and Sophie has been limping badly all day.

...and the lotion the dermatologist gave me burns! :(

Tomorrow is another day - hey ho!

Scare tactic for today ~ "You may lose your pensions"

:nah: I wonder which group he'll choose to frighten tomorrow.
Actually £137/y which equates to just over £2/w - yes, I don't mind losing that - but as you say just scare tactics, and the more that people realise that the remain camp are doing just that trying to scare us in to staying IN, then perhaps more people will vote OUT

Aw, thanks Bob!
Sophie had a very restless evening, and I stayed with her until almost 4am when she'd been soundly asleep for half an hour. Back to the vet at 11am, and ours is off until Tuesday (when he has a totally full day) so we saw a really nice and competent vet instead, and she seemed happy to up the pain relief and see if she'll be OK until our 'always' vet is back ...she even checked with his wife (also a vet) and she agreed.
They still talk of amputation as an option (if further x-rays look promising re spread), but we're still not sure it's worth putting her through that for another 5-6 months of being with us ...easy to think about us loving to have her longer, but it has to be about her.
If anything, the past two days have proved that she can indeed get around on three legs!
We'll see how things go day by day.

As for post we had none today - and I'm waiting for a ransom card from RM! (Stash re-sent my order - and refuse to take payment for it despite it not being their fault).
Package left Heathrow on 22nd and only left Langley yesterday. Things seem to be a lot slower - perhaps tighter checks.

I refuse to let the idiots scare me. Whatever will be, and I'm sure we'll cope and come out the other side stronger - if only enough people have the intelligence to see it for what it is: pure pessimism and scare tactics.

  1. Having kicked the whatever out of the old chipboard bedroom furniture a few days ago the oak stuff arrived today - several hours of waxing later and we're still almost sane. Watched "Brexit-The Movie" today and was delighted to find that it was a reasoned argument. I hate either side exaggerating - the £350 mill per day on the leave battle bus should be painted out. Equally Mr Cameron should explain his relationship with the head of Isil. Are they great friends? If not how does he know that this man will be "happy" if we leave? I would never have believed the number of exaggerations and lies that we have all been subjected to over the course of this horrible campaign so far. Sadly they expect us to gobble up more ordure before the 23rd. What should feel like the possibility of independence is beginning to feel tainted and rather sad. There are liars on all sides - it is hard to escape this conclusion. Argh!
