Well by your wattage Im guessing you have the SMY 260W?! How does it vape? Ive heard mixed reviews on all thing SMY.
I use mechs (dont use them unless you know what you're doing) I run 3 different RDA builds(.4-.75) on 20A batteries so my wattage ranges from around 20W to about 44W...give or take, depending on sag and where I am in the cycle.
Sorry Darth I don't gave the SMY, Ive heard it is amazing though. I have a dual series unregulated box mod. I have two vtc4s (30a cont.) for it and I use a little boy rda at .22 ohms at the moment.
While the VTC4s can run at 30A, they're much better suited for a 20A rating. They will push 30A safely but they heat up quick and well hot batteries just worry me. You sound like you've done your research though, so I wont lecture about battery safety or anything, just keep it safe brother!
Just out of curiosity, have you checked out @Mooch blog? Hes got some great bench tests that are worth checking out if you're gonna run in that range.
Oh yeah and a side note...I use VTC4s as my main choice for battery, I know its a 30A continuous but I use it as a 20A for the safety of the whole thing.
My amp draw is at about 32 amps. Thats still in my safe zone. And yes ive checked out mooch's blog. Hes the reason I chose the vtc4s. And its just a clear dual series box mod.
Between 8-10 watts seem to be a good sweet spot. It crosses my mind that 250-260 watts would dramatically increase the chances of having children born with more than 2 eyes.
22-27w at .5 ohms, 45-60w at .3 ohms. Atlantis v2 coils.
I lower the wattage the older the coil gets so it will wick properly. When I hit the lower end, depending on the coil, its time to swap out for a new one.
I vape 10w-13w on my Provaris and 15w-35w on my Temperature Limiting devices (IPV4, RDNA 40, SX Mini "M", Vapor Flask). As has been stated before, depends on the Atomizer.
