between here and there
No. At least as far as there are no studies out proving or disproving it.

Glycerin is either plant derived or biofuel derived or animal derived and is a by product of all these sources and end up with the same chemical makeup(formula) C3H8O3

Most people freak out with the animal or the biofuel explanation, therefore the distinction of vegetable glycerin(from plants). Palm , soybean, or coconut further defines its source.
From Wiki
Glycerol is used in medical, pharmaceutical and personal care preparations, mainly as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication, and as a humectant. It is found in allergen immunotherapies, cough syrups, elixirs and expectorants, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soaps, and water-based personal lubricants. In solid dosage forms like tablets, glycerol is used as a tablet holding agent. For human consumption, glycerol is classified by the U.S. FDA among the sugar alcohols as a caloric macronutrient.

Since it is also a humectant it an excellent source for ejuice.

What specific claim would that be?

From your link:

"After the initial puffs, the device continues to heat up until reaching a "steady state" temperature after about 20 puffs"

o_O
What the hell are they using?
No e cig works like that.

Methinks they dont have a clue aboit what they are doing or how to even use the gear in the study.

Im pretty sure if I light the box on fire itll release some chemicals too.

Buncha idiots.

it's because they hook it up to a steadily puffing machine, the same kind of machine they use to test smokes, it takes a puff every few seconds on a timer... completely unlike any smoker or someone who vapes...

when the heat is over 400F >>> glycidol is released

Theres alot more to it than that.
Anecdotal snippets, do not a fact make.

Did you actually read the study you linked?
They kept moving the goalposts to get the result they wanted. To achieve their results they had to use the gear far outside the realm of vaping.

Its an unscientific, biased study and the EFSA should be ashamed of themselves.

Again, they are a buncha idiots.

Palm oil is in the news because of Nutella. The company behind Nutella is looking into different processing because heating palm oil over 200C can release carcinogens.
The reason for heating palm oil during the refining process is to remove the natural red color and to remove the flavor.
