ISTICK LOVERS THREAD!

I have noticed since watching this forum that there are a few people who just LOOOVE their Isticks, like me! I started sub ohming with an istick 30w, and have a TC40w and a TC100W (which I will refer to as the TC120W since the upgrade)...Instead of hijacking threads about specific models, I thought I should make a thread for all things Istick/eleaf! Storys, Problems, Fixes, Rants, Whatever it may be! I know there are more Istick peeps out there so tell your friends! lol the more the merrier! Hopefully this will grow into a good'n!

HAPPY vaping!

I'd like to start by asking this...to any TC120W owner (or anyone whos battery door is held on with magnets)... Is it just me or do you guys find yourself picking up random shtuff with your Isticks? Paperclips, staples, sockets, little blue screwdrivers, etc. also I wanted to make sure that the magnets arent strong enough to mess with my computer or phone or other electronical devices

The early iSticks had a consistant philosophy. I'm not sure if that's still true. I've only owned one iStick so far, a 50 watt, which is the most comfortable to handle of all the mods I've had but doesn't have TC. I hope to have an iStick Pico in a couple of weeks which allows battery changes and TC. WIth a small rda it should be stealthy.

A brother of mine has been vaping an iStick 20w and Nautilus mini for 14 months and doesn't want to change a thing.

nice! ive been keeping an eye on the pico thread here and alot of people are liking it so far, ive seen some mixed reviews on the tank but thats kind of expected bc taste is so subjective. I was using a TC40 for a few months before I started messing with TC. it was ok but drained battery. The TC120w has been an awesome solution to that problem! Do you have any experience with TC yet or would the pico be your first?

Between the 3 isticks ive had I havent had a single issue aside from the battery life when using TC in the TC40w, but I always had a backup mech and RDA with me just in case it died on me

The magnet thing...yeah. Last year's i100 has ludicrously strong magnets as well.
I don't keep small ferrous items where I set my mods... those may be why. :D
I've set mods down on the wrist rest of my laptops, but I expect better shielding than perhaps a cellphone might have. And the screen would be closer.

... one iStick so far, a 50 watt, which is the most comfortable to handle of all the mods I've had...

The PICO is the identical footprint. I checked with my i50's Eleaf sleeve.
I agree about the hand feel of the two.
If only JT/Eleaf hadn't screwed up with the i50, where might they have been by now?

Last spring, I switched to sub-ohm with several i30s and an i50.
One i30 went psycho killer and started autofiring months ago. And another plus the i50 had a brief flirtation with the screen lighting up on their own. I use them, for now, because that stopped.
I may get another PICO and finally retire the early iSticks.
Despite power and min res limitations... they're just so damn useful.

No issues from the TC40, TC100s or i100.
For JoyeTech overall... the VTC is solid but the 6 month old i200 (RX) may be about to fail.
Been an odd week actually... the 9 month old iPV D2 is also having screen issues.

More JTech kit to the rescue! :p

I started sub-ohming with a 30 too and also had the same experience with TC in the 40 and gave up on it. The 50 was the most comfortable mod I ever held but I wanted a smaller mod for daily use so rarely used it. That's where the Pico came in. It feels like the 50 but the pinky sits under the mod. I'm loving it A LOT. And though TC doesn't add anything to the battery life, it's not killing it at all either and seems to work the way TC should thank God, because I didn't care for TC in my other TC mods either.

Yeah Im deff glad I gave TC another shot, If I didnt like the tank I had bought (Sigelei elite V2 TC Ni200) I may not have bothered with TC again. But im glad I did! I just bought about 6' of SS316 and I'm loving it! I really like the fact I can just go to VW mode and chuck some cloudage if I feel like it, though cloud production isnt all that bad with the SS on my MXv2 in TC, flavor is better than in wattage tho

This is a slight tangent on my part, but I'll bring it back around... :p

I TC (SS316) more often than not.

I don't rebuild or rewick for fun. I don't do it to experiment or tweak or to dial in a vape.
Yet of the umm... eight setups I could grab from where I sit, and hit the button... only the AIO and ST Nano have factory heads in them (the Nano because I've never ordered from FT and that's the only place to get the third party RBA head).

Still... my wicking skilz are no great shakes. And that's where TC saves my backside.
It's great to have dual use, and it usually is... but TC gives me a fine tasty, productive vape even when the wicking can't handle decent wattage. .... saved.

Oh... and the Nano rides one of the i30s, hitting it now with a great DIY Keoke Coffee.

    **tangent resolved** :D

Only Isticks i have not owned are the 30w and the 40w TC, i love the things, so does my wife, like my 120W TC more than my Hcigar VT200, which i love alot. its all opinion but Isticks are the best mod money can buy right now, the Pico will be next, 1 for me and 1 for the wifey, have a feeling it will be my go to Ninja set up

I've owned every I stick except the basic. I've never had a single issue with any of them. I gave my 50 and 20 to friends in need so my current line up looks like this...

The TC100w is the best Istick by far, IMO. I have a Pico on order and I'm very much looking forward to it!

I agree That the TC120 is the best mod theyve put out, aside from the pico, which I cant comment on bc ive never used one. I held one at E-cig outlet and im loving the feel tho! Im torn between the Pico and the dripbox (kanger) for my next mod, prolly gonna try the Dbox cuz I seem to havethe the squonking itch bad... i thought itd be a cheapish way to try out BF mods. .... ive seen some squonk tank setups that run a lil less than the Dbox so I maybe trying one of those fountain V2s or something

I have an Istick 20w (Clone) that I just recently retired. The center pin finally got so wonky that the only thing that would work on it was my mini dripper. The pin probably jus got tired of being yanked on. 20w is more than I ever use anyway.
I've been staunchly refusing to move on from my 650 mah VV ego/Evod batteries w/ProTanks. They just do the job. But they have some competition now. I recently traded the Movkin Luggly that I won to a member who ordered a new Mini Istick 10w for me. Been wanting one forever but didn't actually need it so never ordered one.
This little mod is perfect for me. I just might end up replacing my whole fleet of ego batteries with mini Isticks.

Still wringing out the PICO so time will tell, but I have a serious complaint over the 100TC.

They absolutely bolluxed up the UI with their inclusion of the 40 and 60's mode button. It's slow to advance, can't be sped up and now we've got eight modes to cycle through. Needing it for TC Wattage Adjust is just as annoying.

The RX is a solid home run for UI (call it a boundry :) ), and the PICO copies it to a tee.
    Why not the 100TC? :(

The only Isticks I have are 2 30w. I have an Evic VTC that I'm happy with as far as temp control goes. The 2 30w Isticks are in constant use with Kanger subtanks as toppers. I am very pleased with that combo. Meanwhile I have 3 Provari's including a P3 collecting dust. I haven't used any of them in months.

I have no trouble with the 40tc small size, simple function, pass through charging, Ti capable.
A little weak on power but cranking up the heat fixes that for the most part.
I would not want for it to be my "only" device however. Gotta have at least one with replaceable batts in case you're caught away from a charge port. Cheers.

The mode button is indeed extremely annoying. Slow in choosing the modes, and imprecise when adjusting watts in tc. Good thing I have my mods more or less married to specific atties and builds. No need to do much adjusting.
