Istick TC 40w issue

Having temp control issues with the eleaf istick TC 40w it doesn't like to fire stock ni200 coils for the ego one mega at any temp under 550F. Is it possible that it just doesn't have the power or is the temp control part dieing would like some ideas on this before I waste more money on coils or rune the ni200 coil for my crown. One other thing it was firing at 390F on the rba for the one mega.
