According to a contact I email sometimes at Innokin, it seems the main reason why Innokin kept the MPV v3 large is because they wanted to keep the power bank feature of the MVP. I wonder how many people these days really use the MPV as a power bank and if these days anyone that does really prefers a powerbank over a small mod. Time will tell for innokin if they made the right move but I say they made a mistake not playing the "mini" game. The 2 reasons why I didn't bother buying the 20W and have no interest in the v3 is because they are too large and heavy and I prefer a changeable battery. IT is for the latter reason that, although I love my iStick 20W, I will never buy another once it dies since they are more or less "disposable" units unless you want to tear it down and replace the battery. Not sure I wanna do that but I might try. I saw a tear down of the iStick 20W and it's just an 18650 inside.
As far as these new sub-ohm tanks are concerned, please read what I have to say before you spend your money (at least for those that are mouth-to-ling hitters and don't care for or want to lung hit).
I bought an Atlantis as I was a little curious about sub-ohming. Found that I don't like to vape at anything above 15 or 16W. But what really made the purchase a waste of money was that the airflow, even at the lowest setting is too airy for a nice mouth hit. Sure, you can set it so that you only have a half a hole open, but it isn't that great because in order to get a decent voltage (because the only option you have is a sub-ohm coil at 0.5 ohms), you have to vape it at a higher wattage, which in turn makes for a weak vape and therefore not satisfying at all. At least not for me. Let's say you set your device at 23W. That sounds high. But at 0.5 ohms, that's only 3.69-3.7 volts. It makes for a week vape yet still warmer than 15W & 5.32v on a 1.8x phm nautilus coil.
So I tossed it aside. I am hoping they come out with a 1.2 ohm or 1.5 ohm coil as I think then I might be able to use the Atlantis satisfactorily with the smallest hole set to half closed.
Then the subtank Nano came out and it got me thinking. Since it has a 1.2 ohm coil option, maybe it would be a good vape. NOT. At least not for me. And here's why. Again, same with the Atlantis, even the smallest airflow hole is too large for mouth hitting. So I set it to half a hole and found there is another down side. The smaller I make the airflow, the more pronounced the flavor. I believe this has to do with the design of the coil head and possibly the fact it uses OC but I'm not sure. But I do know that the flavor is so intense that I can't take it. Mind you, I am using juices I used for clearomizers and Nautilus tanks which are 70/30 and 50/50 pg/vg mixes. Maybe if I use higher VG or at least lower flavored liquids I my actually like these tanks better. But as far as mouth hit, not very good.
So, 2 tanks sit on my shelf. Actually, the only thing I found that was a positive for both tanks is that I found I love wide bore tips. So I use both the Nano and Atlantis tips on my Nautilus tanks. I simply adore using the Atlantis tip on my Nautilus.

The flavor on this tank at my PG/VG ratios is perfect for me and the wide bore tips really actually produce a better cloud than the standard hourglass-style tips that come stock on the Nautilus. I believe the taste is slightly better, too.
While I'm happy with my Nautilus tanks, I would like to find a similar tank with similar coils from other companies but have yet to find one. I know this is a topic for a different thread, but if anyone knows of one, please post. What I mean by Nautilus-like is not the juice capacity, but rather the size of the coil heads and the diameter of the coils. I really believe that the larger coil heads and larger diameter coils is what makes the Nautilus so much better at 14-16 watts at 1.8 ohms over, say a kanger dual coil or a regular Aspire BVC at the same ohm rating. These smaller coil heads, although you can buy them with lower ohm ratings as low as 1.0 ohms and therefore increase your V and W, are simply too small in size to really handle a good vape at 12 or 13W and above.
I have heard/read people calling the subtank Nano a "Nautilus killer" but nothing can be further from the truth. None of the 3 subtanks are really anything like a nautilus nor are they really the same class of clearomizer. Subtanks, as well as the Atlantis are totally designed for sub-ohming more than anything and certainly for lung hitters.
