This thread is for posts giving information on wire gauge used, number of coils, and ohms.

I have read every thread on here about the RM2 and other rba's.

Since a lot of us are using the Micro coils we have been experiencing lots of questions.

Wanted this thread so everyone has a place to see what is being used and can decide what wire to buy. Also so they can have an idea of how many wraps to do to get the ohms they desire.

Please keep conversation to a minimum so people can quickly scan posts.

Please state your experience as follows:

Wire Type & Gauge:
Coil size (what you wrap it on):
Number of Coils:
Measured Ohms of coil:

Feel free to post multiple combinations! Some may like the low ohm and some the higher.
Thanks in advance to all who contribute!!

Should we add what atomiser we are using?

I am wondering if someone/s could compare the flavor value of their micro's between the RM2 (Reomizer2) and other RDA's (i.e. iGoL).

Specs between RM2 and others are considerable... and there's questions about base/top cap specs and how that affects flavor/vapor.

You might want to start a thread for those questions.

Just wanted this thread to address the wire, coils and ohms. A quick reference for those just starting to get into micro coils.

Just a note here, it's been my experience that longer legs on a coil will raise the resistance of said coil (you're effectively adding more resistance because there is more resistance material between the non-resistance posts). So if you're 'presenting' that coil to the airhole, you'll want to take that into consideration:

Wire - 29 ga Kanthal
Coil - annealed, wrapped around a 1.5mm steel dowel

- on an igo-s
9 wraps, about 2mm out from the posts: 1.3 ohms

- on a RM2
8 wraps, coil is very near the outer lip and centered between the posts (long legs): 1.3 ohms

With pics to give a visual idea on length of coil in relation to the atty....plus I do long leads.

(If the pics clutters the thread please let me know & I'll remove them)
