We have been working on bringing in some new higher capacity batteries for all the 18650 ProVari customers. The new 18650 batteries are coming online soon, pending user feedback. :)

We will be contacting some ECF members in the next couple of days to have them test the batteries. No need to email us on beta testing for this one as we are going to choose some ProVari users who own the extension cap.

They are 2500 mAh and work at the full range of voltages of the ProVari.

Well let you know when they are available, full details and pricing in about two weeks

sounds like non hi-drain... meaning longer batt times.... maybe. Very interesting!

"They do run longer :)

They are not high drain. They are Li-ion protected cells with the amperage rating to handle the ProVari's demands."

yes, and to fit the Vari with extension... leave it to you guys at Provape to bring something new, and quality... to the fore.

OMG! That is incredible. More battery life? Perfecto.

*question* Might there be negative effects of them not being high-drain? Or its 100% same capability just longer lasting?

Just longer lasting. The protection circuit doesn't kick in till 3.1v, and high drains can go down to 2.5v, BUT the Provari automatically shuts off at 3.5v, so the fact that they are protected is really a non-issue during normal use.

You got to figure Provape knows what they are doing.
Initially the IMR's were recommended over protected Li-ion for a reason... so that's a good question*
?
I am presuming this is something new...?

My provari has been shutting off at 3.3 since i got it inspected. either way longer battery time = win

Really? well as it concerns to what I said the same point remains. It's still higher than the protection circuit kicking in. Mines acting up a bit. I sent a PM to MonsterKenny about it. I'm not one to whine in a forum because I had an issue that will get fixed, and is not commonplace.

I have 2 provari's from the first run... flawless vaping... and i go through 2 aw imr 18650's a day.
I got 9 of 'em... and a Pila charger.
With this newer batt, i'm all about it... gotta be good.

i can use my backup imr's with other pv's (or not)... but new batt tech is always exciting imo. :)

anything new from Provape is definitely exciting!!!

I thought I was the only one.
