I really don't think it melted..the coil is on the other side for pete's sake! It's not even a low ohm coil. ..1.1
I think the top cap caught the edge & rolled it over. It did feel tight going on yesterday if I recall. But they often feel a bit tighter if they are wet anyway...so I did not think anything of it.

I showed it to my hubby..he works with fittings a lot. He said the o-ring did it. He said it got out of place and pushed it down. He said he has seen fittings messed up in ways you just can't figure out how it could have happened.

Wow, I didn't think it was thin enough in that spot to do that. You must have strong hands to be able to push it down like that.

It's good to know that that can happen. Something to watch out for.

That's pretty crazy, I didn't think it'd crush that easily, or maybe you just don't know your own strength
