I just got my first build on a Nuppin. Went with a single twisted 28 gauge coming in at .82 and wicked with 3mm RxW. I love the cool vape but I was a little surprised the flavor didn't pop as much as I expected or hoped for. I think my Odin and Cyclone AFC has more of a flavor pop with my ANML Carnage juice. Anyway, thought I'd share and if you have any suggestions that would be awesome. I'm waiting for my CH attys and mods coming in this week, so the Nuppin might be sidelined a bit.

*might look like the air hole is closed off but the other side is fully open. Running single coil mode.

I struggled with flavor on mine until I put a dual twisted 30g 6 wrap around a 1/16 bit in dual coil mode on it. It comes in around 0.45 ohms. I have one coil centered on the air hole and the other just slightly above center - just barely. I have the AFC about 4/5ths open. I had tried many other coil variations on mine and was at a loss until trying this setup. Best advice is to keep experimenting. You'll find your sweet spot build. Good luck!

Pretty much exactly this, including the asymmetrical coil placement, for me with my last build.

A pic of your build would prolly help a lot for us to make more suggestions. When you get it dialled in, it will outperform the Odin for flavour and be at least as good as the cyclone.

As Papa_L pointed out, would need to see the build. Pics from all angles so we can see the relativity of the coil to AFC to deck and so forth... The only other thing I would ask is what size diameter mandrel or drill bit are you using to wrap your coil? Are you wrapping freehand or with the gizmo? These items will tell us a lot and help significantly...

Thanks everyone. I actually took it apart and will try again tomorrow. I was on a 2.5mm Coil Master jig. I'm usually a single coil guy but might try my hand at the dual coil Nuppin build.

It vaped very cool and produced nice clouds but that's not a necessity for me. It just didn't get the flavor pop.

Try chucking up a 3/32" drill bit in a hand drill and wrapping the coil for the 3mm RxW. I've been doing that for months now and the flavor profile popped for me. The RxW wasn't making full contact with the 2.5mm coil I was wrapping and wasn't vaping very well. I actually got that tip from MacTechVPR over in the micro coil thread...

Sounds good. I will try that for sure. Is it hard to get the RxW through the coil?
