A cross-disciplinary team of Ohio State researchers has discovered that e-cigarette manufacturers are making health claims that likely won't stand up to new Food and Drug Administration regulations.

I was late the the party and don't feel like watching it now. Did they discuss the fact that the FDA has never approved an MRTP marketing application?
If they did I didn't catch it.
It was mostly about the claims being made by ecig manufactures and what they believe hasn't had enough research to prove. While they admit ecigs are a safer alternative to smoking they don't specify.
I left this message:
For once I would like to hear one of these studies state what undisputed benefits ecigs have instead of lumping all claims into one category. Maybe then it would be easier to cut to the truth instead of demonizing the entire industry.

Yeah, I caught a few snippets, but I didn't really hear any of the "claims." To me the heart of the matter isn't unfounded health claims, it's the nebulous standard the FDA has for approving a modified risk claim. If there were a REAL pathway to MRTP as opposed to the theoretical one that exists now, I might feel different.

Wonder who funded the study? University or ?
OSU is in the state capital of Columbus. The state of Ofrigginhio is one of the states deepest in the red on the Ponzi future bond gamble against the tobacco settlement. Durhurr. Good old CYA principles funded the "research".
