So it's been smooth sailing then when I copy the IMG code from PB to ECF or even to Notes app, instead of pasting the IMG code it posts a link on ECF. In other words it wont embed into my post which is a big hit to those of us that need levity.

headed to the sandbox..

I went to tinypic free hosting to try a test, and the same IMG code worked! So if my problem isnt technical, who is punishing me - photobucket or ecf or .. life.

Are you copying the URL directly from the browser's address bar? If so, it's going to show as a link. To use the image tags, right mouse click on the image and select "Copy image location". You can then paste that URL here on ECF with image tags and it'll work.

Personally, I prefer imgur.com. ;)

- See more at: http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/r...0ce6.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1#sthash.23u1C2Lv.dpuf

Now you should be seeing my room in this post but instead it's pasting that crap. And I'm copying the code that's listed in the pb page for forums and message boards, not the address bar. Ok if I have to take a stab in the dark I'm thinking I've been sucking down their bandwidth because I posted a lot of larger images recently and they are blocking me from embedding here with my iPad.

The URL ends in .html which will never work right with image tags.

Delete the .html and it should work.

Edit -- No. It doesn't. Who'd you make mad at Photobucket?

If I do the "Copy image location" trick, I get this.

Photobucket is doing is the same thing that some news sites are now doing when you quote a portion of their article. I can understand why as a lot of people steal the content and don't give credit to the site they pulled it from.

The difference between your URL and the one I got to work is this:

Yours:

http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/redhatpatecf/media/image_zps9ed30ce6.jpg.html

Here's what you get if you right click on the image and select Copy image location:

See the difference?

You know what I've been doing all this time was saving then uploading then copying back to ecf when I all I could have done was copy and add code. You know us iPad folks, I tell you, we think with our fingers faster than our noggin head sometimes.

Thanks to geeks like retired1, they can translate our gibberish into answers.
