I was curious about this. I have some, that has been in a dark cool place, that is about 2 years old. It has changed color, dark yellow orange. Wondering if it is still safe to vape or should I get rid of it?

I have some 3 years and still good. can't speak for the color change in yours or know if it is safe..oxidation will take place over time and yellowing will occur. is it still safe? I can't answer that. does it smell funny?

The color change is most likely due to oxidation. It should still be fine to vape.

Another concern would be the decrease in potency of the nicotine solution. You may want to test it to see what the actual strength is now.

OK. After seeing that pic, that is pretty dark. Considering how small an amount that is, I would just toss it and get some fresh nic. No need to take any chances for $5 worth. You would probably be fine, but....

Thanks spaceballsrules. I was just curious. I do have more but always wondered if these were safe or not. Better not test my luck and just turf Em.

I would not store my nic in those plastic bottles for long term. There are not airtight and the oxygen will oxidize them. I use amber glass bottles for anything I store more than a few months.

The color is actually fine, but it should be tossed because of the plastic.

Since nic is a corrosive chemical, it decomposes plastic. Pg affects it by absorbing the plastic that the nic has decomposed, and vg corrodes plastic but at a much slower/smaller rate than nic.

Wiz labs website suggests storing in glass for long term. Personally I transfer to 120ml brown bottles, label clearly then store in freezer.

myself I use mason jars, with the glass covered in tape so no light can get to them, in the freezer
