I don't think that is the date that "vape" was referenced on the site, because I found several vape stores that have a date earlier than that in a google search and e-cigs weren't even out yet

The date is when google last indexed/crawled that page with that specific URL. The URL contains the word vape, which is why I referenced it. Last, and apparently only, crawl done on that site was on the date present.

That's because the website DHgate.com has been around since then. They don't just sell e-cigs. Vape is in the actual URL, name of the company, name of the site, what have you, of the site I listed, which dates back to whatever date it was.

You can't rely on those dates. A google search between the years 2006 and 2007 and the words vape, vaping pull up hundreds of sites with those dates. Most are Vape shops that didn't even exist in 2006/07 and I'm pretty sure Twitter wasn't around back then.
