I don't know how y'all vape Nichrome. I can't stand the flavor it throws off.
Where are you getting your nichrome from?
Do you pulse it before you wick? I know you're not new, but I had to ask that, because it's the most important single factor that will negatively affect your flavor if you don't.

I concur. You may be hot spotting in one spot before the entire coil heats and not know it, causing a very bad taste, giving the illusion of putting out vapor. Also - you really gotta pulse, prod & pinch your coils til your hot spots go away. When I'm coloring a coil, I pinch it with ceramic tweezers right away while firing, so it shows me where the hot spots will be. After that I'll prod it with screwdriver or bit I used, & repeat until it's colored evenly & glows evenly across the whole coil.
I get my N80/KA1 from temco, mostly Lightning Vapes, and Kidney Puncher for my .3mm, 34g N80, high gauge N80 & Square wire.

Meanwhile here's some wire porn of my newer work.

I already posted the square alien wrap, but top is 3x .2x.2 square with 44g (beginning of the wrap, the rest of it is in the picture on top of the square alien. Then there's an 8ply .4x.1mm/40g alien. & bottom is a 30g FSA with 4 square cores.
I did about 15" of 28g/4 ply .4x.1mm frample alien with a square wrap. Gonna coil that up today and put it on a deck.

Definitely getting there. 28 gauge ni80, 34 wraps. 3mm ID, .18ish ohm. I probably should have done 5 wraps around a 2.5 mm for the faster ramp up, but this is a pretty solid vape. Chugging away on one of my favorite juices Charlie Noble Siren Song. Time to order some 36 gauge.

With 28g cores I usually go 5-6 wraps on a 3mm, 6 wraps especially for my Kennedy 24 because it spans over both of the airflow holes on the deck.

    I coiled up the 15" of 28g/.4mm/square alien and got 3x 6 wraps on a 3mm & 1 6&1/2 wrap on a 2.5mm for a between the post build on the Petri.
But lookin good bro, finally got it down, did you mean a 34g alien wrap?

Yeah, the alien wrap is 34 gauge, a bit easier to work with and keep the wraps a little more flush. Turned out to be a really nice vape at .17 ohms, sluggish on the ramp up, but warm without being spitty and overly hot. I just ordered some 36 gauge, so looking forward to hitting some aliens with that. Figure one or two more and then it's on to the other build I was having difficulty with, staples and framed staples.

I'm definitely going to need another few larger post hole atties soon. I keep rotating the heavens and hells/Twisted Messes atties for the builds.

Here's a question, I was having a convo with a friend and his opinion was that stitched builds, while very cool looking, dont vape as nicely as high gauge fused builds or aliens builds. Is that accurate? I'm thinking about trying a dual core stitched, with 36 alien and 38/40 stitches.

Stitched aliens come in all shapes and sizes. Do you know the specs of the stitch he was doing? When I do my stitches I either go 3 core or framed stapled. However, he may be referring to the kind where the stitch is a thicker gauge than the wrap. They come out pretty well, only thing is that they have a tendency to triangle up on you. I posted a bunch of my stitches a few pages back. Back at my girls house I have about 21" of 36g decored Clapton with about 12-15' of 38g running thru it (decored isn't stretched out yet) with knots at both ends of the stitch so I can't accidently slip the wrap off of it.
Stitches can be hard to size up, so start small, aim for 6-8" at first and use 4-5' of stitch and go 2-4 gauges smaller than your wrap gauge. If you want the triangle/Prometheus stitch, use the same gauge as your wrap or 2 gauges lower, like a 36/36g or 36g wrap, 34g stitch.
Right now I'm running a 3 core triangled stitch with 28g cores, 34g stitch and a 36g alien in my monster v3. I think it's like 5 or 6 wraps on a 3mm. It vapes incredibly in a chimney style build.

Edit: it's on page 23 towards the bottom.

Yeah, I saw it. Considering how hard I've tried lately not to get triangles in the cores, I dont think I'm quite there to go back to that. Regarding the stitches, I thought the wire intended for the stitch, had to be longer then the decored clapton wire prior to stretching?

    28g frample 4 .4x.1mm, square .2x.2 alien wrap

Edit; @Mrez yes the stitch has to be longer than your stretch decored Clapton to cover the full length of the alien wrap, which is why I say start small and cut 5' of alien wrap in 34 or 36, whatever you want & cut 5' of stitch length bc you the decored Clapton will be shorter than 5' after stretched out

Colored and finished. Trying to figure out which picture to post to IG for dotbuilds.

Specs: 28g frames, 4 ply .3x.1mm in between & a 38g wrap. 8 wraps for max surface area on my Petri. The colors look like a sunset on the ocean from the outside in on the coils. Great coloring off of them. No edits, my edited pics always have my insta handle to watermark them.

    The first one.
Great minds think alike. Atleast that's what they say. But in this case it's slightly stupid minds think alike haha.
That's what I went with but I think dotbuilds only takes pics from builders with more recognition on IG. Like only the "cool kids," but whatever, I ordered my Petri v2 yesterday...I am excite...yekzimash.
Edit: and @Superfecta_ always stealin my thunder I see!
