I do not pride myself as a coil builder, but now and again I get motivated. Always
enjoyed the flavor off a chain coil.
Chain coil (made with 6x 30ga KA1), Parallel wrapped with 22ga Na80 = .15ohm

Where do you find such high gauge wire? Ive been poking around looking for something a bit thinner than 40 recently, but have not came across anything yet. Though I have not put a whole lot of effort in the search yet.

Lol I was just trolling. Mad props to these coil builders. Ive done microscope parts machining; was tough... these coils ain’t easy!

Far as wire gauge... 40 is pretty damn thin- only 3 thousandths. For comparison, hair is around 4 thou or about 38ga. Too thin and I think will probably break the first time you dry burn and quench.

I was trying to find 42 or 44, just for a test build I had in mind, but never got motivated enough to find some. I know it's out there, I seen a build with (if memory serves me) 44g.

I know how difficult thin wire can be, but love a challenge.
