Just received the Ti wire. Time to give it a go.

Well, the first build was kind of a fail as the ti has a springiness to it that makes it kind of tough to wrap real tight. Not too bad, just not where I want it. Have a few idea's though. Going to give it a rest and attack it again. As with anything there's a bit of a learning curve so back to the ni200 coil for now.

I'm sure you read the exchange between Tom and I on the previous page, I was just a bit confused as to where you came up with the "recommended" 1.2 tis all. I'll tell you what, as you know I like to tinker, I'll toss a 1.2 build in something, give it a whirl and report back if you like. As I stated above my thoughts were aimed more towards TC and with that, I'm sure the SXj chip can be dialed in to whatever vape preference one could want, but in temp control as I'm sure you well know, a 1.2 ohm coil simply wouldn't work. If you are worried about the use of the nickel wire, I do have some Ti wire on the way and plan to play with that and report back as well.

I use TC daily with nickel. I have not yet viewed someones' actual experience using regular Kanthal at the recommended 1.2 ohms on an SXj board. I am curious.

Why would I need a Thump when I have a Stump(y)! I only run 1 coil, no need for more than 2 posts. What I DO need is a CAM-M. Then maybe I'll look at the Thump...or Marquis.
