I usually just pulse fire my coil at low wattages till it glows a dull red, and you can see the gunk kinda sizzling off. Put the rda under running water. Brush the coils lightly with a tooth brush. Rinse with water done.

Sometimes my coils can last a week or two but I usually end up rebuilding cos I enjoy it

Thanks @Karstine I will try it once my ironing is done... Need to change my cotton already... My AJ is tasting like BlackCurrent.

@Pisces82 partners should be happier when u switch from analogs to vape. Let's go try the washing method... If doesn't work karstine will help to recoil.

yeah man the, dry burn plus water works soo good. But i'm gonna get some stainless steel brush from hardware shop to clean my coil even better!

Sir, toothbrush bristle are made of nylon. Coil is hot. Hot coil plus nylon equal nylon melting onto coil. It's better to brush with a stainless steel brush in my humble opinion.

Huh. No no hahaha.

After the coils glows red, I run it under tap water so its cooled down.

Then I use the toothbrush to brush it without firing it.

HAAHA, my mistake! Didn't see that you wrote that you cooled it down. But a local hardware store was selling stainless steel brush for cheap cheap. So I thought of getting one for cleaning purpose haha!

Im sure that would work! But I rather not use something as abrasive as that. Especially since you're interested in the longevity of the coil.

For me, I just wanna remove any remaining gunk after dry burning, and a tooth brush seems to work nicely for that :) after my cleaning routine the coils are all nice and good as new

The brush set has a stainless steel brush, a brass bristle brush and a nylon bristle brush.

If so, would a brass be better? It doesn't melt plus it's softer than stainless steel.

Hahah I dunno! Just buy and try lor. I don't think melting should be a big concern cos you should only be brushing it when it's not hot anyway.
