Contrary to ANTZ shrill claims of "we just don't know" and "not enough studies", There are over 2000 published studies on vaping. If you'd like to find them, PubMed is open to all. Many of these articles are freely available, the others you can read the Abstracts.

But, let me make this task less daunting. Here is a nearly complete list of vaping studies and articles:
E-cigarette research, studies and papers - 2014

Vapers should be familiar with the state of the science, so they can accurately claim that
1000+ studies verify vaping is a 95-100% safer and at least 66% effective alternative to smoking
And that the rest of the studies, disparaging this life-saving technology, are dogmatic incompetent drivel, as exposed in the following peer-reviewed article

Its to new to claim anything, we just cant say we know.anything for sure at this point. We may feel it is the right decision, but we wont know for 20yrs. I sure hope it is thoug

I suggest you read some of the information in those links juggler, review it subjectively and then make up your mind.

Also its a privelage not a right.

That is an interesting statement. I chose to vape and no one will take vaping away from me. I don't know if that makes it a privelage or a right, but it really doesn't matter to me either way ;)

I just hope vaping stays available as an alternative to the smokers who have not found it yet.

Interesting comment in bold considering it comes after your comment in another thread: "The only thing I know is that they arent GOOD for us."

A "privelage" and not a right? So much for the Declaration of Independence.

it is not to soon. modern toxicology has come a long way.
the science that says vaping is 98 to 99.8% safe is the
same science that says tap water is 98-99,8% safe to drink.
privilege? do you mean i have to get someones permission?

Set the declaration of independence aside, that literally has no weight when it comes to me doing what I want to do, up until a certain moral threshold of course. If vaping were outlawed tomorrow I'd still be vaping. It's not a right nor a privilege, it's a choice and only I make that choice, and all of you as well :)

Neither the DOI, nor the constitution give us our rights. The DOI recognizes that we have rights innately born to us by virtue of existing (endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights) and the constitution then follows up to protect those rights, not to codify or delineate them.

Until vaping is a genuine trespass on another's rights (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness) it is a right.

Vaping is part of our inalienable rights, particularly LIFE and Pursuit of Happiness, and may not be trespassed against under any circumstances and for any reason whatsoever.

Quite apart from rights, over 1000 scientific studies guarantee the safety and effectiveness of vaping. This amount of research is orders of magnitude above and beyond the 2-3 sham studies funded by Pharma that are generally sufficient for FDA to approve a new drug as "safe & effective".

For example, the study linked below finds that vaping is at least 6000x safer than smoking, which calculates to 99.98% safer

We do know!
We are sure!
There's more than enough data!
And claiming otherwise is attempted genocide of 1.24 Billion smokers worldwide.

I have the right to vape. It's part of my 'pursuit of happiness' as a US citizen.
My town/county has the right to take that right away from me if enough people within the jurisdiction deem my vaping to be detrimental to the community as a whole.
In some cases, towns and counties have ceded their rights to the state, in which case the state has a right to take away my right to vape if the people of the state deem it to be detrimental to the state as a whole.
In both cases, I am at liberty (free) to move to another town, county, or state in order to pursue my vaping happiness under less oppressive regimes.

The proposed federal regulations will not only substantially remove my 'right' to be happy vaping, but will also remove any liberty (freedom) that I might have to move elsewhere in my country so that I may continue to pursue that vaping happiness. Not only do 'they' have no 'right' to do that, but it runs absolutely contrary to every founding principle on which this country was built.

Sorry, but this is why America is doomed. Stop letting people take your rights and turn them into privileges.

A privilege is something that is granted to you by a higher authority. If we want to take vaping as an example, we would need to assume a few things: 1) the concept and property of vaping are owned by a higher authority, and 2) you are subject to that higher authority's approval to use the concept or property of vaping.

As long as you accept yourself to be an individual person, vaping remains your right, and as long as you do not accept that anyone else can own the concept or property of vaping, it will also remain your right.

And this is why I don't feel that I need to be informed on any studies re vaping to defend against any attacks on it. I live on morals, not laws. I don't hurt others, and I don't pay attention to laws that seek to infringe on my liberty.

If my actions are not hurting someone else, then they don't need to be concerned with what I am doing. If I wanted to be fat and eat cheeseburgers all day, who's business is it to stop me? Studies have found that being fat is a huge cause of death in the US and no one is banning anyone's right to be fat.

Sorry, but IMO that's incorrect. Fundamental Rights are not divisible and cannot be delegated or relinquished. You always have them or, if someone attempts to take them away by force, they've committed an atrocity, a crime against humanity, or an act of terrorism. But you still have those INALIENABLE Rights.

This would only be true in the freest of societies. In America we have given up our constitutional republic and have adopted democracy. Our "rights" can be taken, but only if we accept that.

Here We (as a collective, not as in you and I) have decided to let other people make decisions for us, so anything that they say goes.

A jury can vote away someone's life, government officials can vote away or vote to impose restrictions on constitutional "rights", and even your "right" to leave the US isn't really right. You must pay fees and get permission (passport) to leave this country.

If you want to be free here, you have to pick and choose which laws apply to you.

Correct, rights cannot be "removed". They can be "infringed" though.
