Right, I understand that much I was just afraid of adding the LED and causing a short. The gf might be a little upset if I hand her an exploding PV
I'll wire this up right now and give it a shot. Thanks for the help :toast:
Ok now I'm really confused lol. The box I'm using is from Madvapes and has the master switch pre-wired to the positive side. Are you saying I need to have it on the negative side? Are there any diagrams for this configuration?
I'm working on a juice fed box mod for someone who is new to vapping and will definitely forget it on and melt the cartridge at some point. I'd like to wire it so that the LED is on whenever the power in on so that she doesn't forget to turn off the master switch before throwing it in her...
Whatever the black "LR 1.5" attys are in the 'wooden box of 10' order I got ROCK. I have been using two of them for the past month with ZERO fatalities. *knock on wood* This may be a year's supply of attys for $70 :2cool:
Never mind, turned out to be a tear in the silicone insulator on the battery/atty connector that was allowing them to make contact when an atty was fully screwed in. I couldn't see it until I moved things around a bit. Probably did that myself when I tried Scottbee's staple mod last week....oops :?:
I bashed it on the head with a Dremmel grinding bit :)
I just want to add that this short is entirely my fault and not the MP1's construction. After the stock epoxy fell apart I re-soldered and two part epoxied it, this is where the short formed. The movement in the silicone insulator in the...
Ok I found the problem, when I test continuity at the adapter to find a short I didn't get any response. But when I apply pressure to the center(positive) pin of the adapter a short shows itself
I'm getting 4.16v at the battery adapter and both the wire from the switch to positive adapter connection and the spring are getting hot. This is without an atty connected.
Recently I noticed my Mr Puffer was getting warm and the wire inside looked a bit discolored. I opened the case and hit the button...the spring got red hot. I've had good success with this setup for weeks. I started using high drain 14500s about two weeks ago and added the magnetic...
I've posted about my issues with the NHaler LR attys and a 14500 mod on other threads so I wont get into many of the details..but since I've singled out the issue I figured this would be an appropriate place to post a warning.
I found that some of the attys from Nhaler would appear to die after...
I got my high drain 14500s in from CloudsOfVapor yesterday and sure enough the NHaler LR attys that gave 1 second bursts with UltraFires are working great now. Vapor is warmer and the atty fires as long as I hold the button. :toast:
I trim my carts with an Xacto when I need to, it's pretty straight forward. As for the button, try it out with a continuity checker first. Originally when I ran into the 'short fire' issue I thought it was the button myself, and pushing it harder did seem to help a bit. But I tested it with a...
Right now I have some UltraFires from madvapes and they are absolutely horrible with Nhaler's LR attys. I've been having issues with the atty firing for a second then cutting out. I thought I had it figured out when I noticed the MP was falling apart, but it resurfaced today. I took the atty off...
Cloudsofvapor is having a sale this weekend, and including a battery case with an order of two batteries. Good opportunity to pick up some high drain 14500s. Also, Nhaler.com now has black LR attys, with an order of 10 they are only $7 ea and come in a wooden case
