    In the last 5 hours I have gone through 6 feet of 30g a kanthal trying to rebuild a PT 2. Use 5-6 wraps around a 1/16' drill bit (for the first dozen or so) for the next 10 I wrapped the kanthal directly around the wick as I have seen demonstrated in several tutorials. Get a resistance reading...

    I did. Then sold it after it was fixed. The fact that it lasted only 2 months before having to give it up for 2 weeks was evidence enough for me that it wasn't the unit for me. For the cost I would expect a longer period of trouble free performance.

    I have had both. For my money the VMOD is the better unit. My reo stopped working after 2 months. I have vmods that are 18 months old that still work perfectly.

    Based upon recommendations in this thread and several other positive comments I ordered from MBV with 5 extra flavor shots. Hope it as good as I've heard. Thanks to all who responded. BTW I am using an I30s on a VTR. Maybe this juice can even make my crappy pro tank 2's not seem like a waste...
