A tip for installing the o-ring. Snap the lead off of a sharpened pencil, roll the o-ring onto it, insert pencil into the button and roll the o-ring off the pencil onto the button. :)
Where can I get one of these magic springs? I'd love to be able to use my BB at 3.7v but it's just too wimpy as is.
Please PM me if you don't want to post here.
Or maybe you got unlucky - most people are reporting that the new switch is great.
Did you put Noalox or OxGuard on the contact ring and the posts?
A discount to current Protege owners would be nice. I haven't used mine in months - it's just so aggravating to get the current mech switch to fire properly - either of them. It's a shame because the Protege is my favorite 3.7v PV ever when it works, it just doesn't work very often.
It's great...
I've had my 510 "5v" passthrough for about a week now and I absolutely love it. Going to order another or maybe 2 just in case! Perfect vape for a 510 atty.
Couple of thing should be noted. The cord is not 2 feet, it's 42" long. A foot longer would be really nice though. I'm using mine with a...
V4Ls are kr808's, same as you can get in a bunch of places, they just have the factory put their own stickers on the carts. AltSmoke, PureSmoker, Nhaler, and CigEasy are all good vendors, with great customer service.
Two green unprotected ultrafire cr2s from dealextreme are 3/16" longer than a single unprotected Tenergy 14500. They fit the BB very comfortably - not tight either in length or circumference.
Yes, it's a nono and I don't blame Rob and Chad for not recommending it, but I've been using my BB with unprotected cr2s for months with no issues. Just have to pay attention to what you're doing. I always take the atty off before leaving it or pocketing it and never charge the batts unattended...
I'm puffing on a BB with an 808 cart as I type this. The adapter that AltSmoke sells has only 1/4" of shiny stainless exposed when used. It looks like it belongs there - nice and sleek and matches the silvery lettering on my black carto nicely.
That is not to say that other adapter options...
A device like the SB, but made of SS and designed for rcr123s only so it could be made much smaller.
I love the button on the BB. I haven't tried the SB because of the size so I can't make a comparison there.
An option to bring the unloaded voltage down from 6.5v to around 5v would make it...
Sounds like a bad switch. I have several mods and the switch on the BB is easily the most consistent and smoothest to operate. It has never misfired and I do not press it very hard at all.
