Not in this case.
There is no count of "votes" made by the FDA.
In fact all form letters are combined and addressed as one comment.
But like I said, its pretty clear that a large number of the comments came from people who didn't know that.
Very much like my son.
Always has trouble focusing on tasks.
His writing is almost unintelligible....
But,
He read the entire harry potter series by age 7.
Was reading post graduate books for fun by 9.
Spent this summer in Europe as a student ambassador
And next week starts high school at...
Again, not true.
As outlined in the my post you just replied to....
They suggest eliminating nearly all of the paperwork by:
1. Changing the date from 2007 to the date of final regs
(meaning every vapor product currently on the market would be legal, a predicate and free from Pre market...
just went back and was re-reading this thread(morbid curiousity)...
so, now that the proposed regs have been seriously dissected and the comment period is done.
Do you still think this?
Or do you, like me, almost find it comical how far off most people's first impressions were?
so you missed the part where it said nicotine in ecigs was less addictive than in cigarettes?
I included one such mention, in Bold below
I suggest you read through the comments... don't skim through it with a preconceived notion that it's going to be bad...

I am also considering just continuing to buy, stockpiling...

Changing the pre-market review date to the final date of the regs, instead of 2007
Removing the notion that a color change equals a new product.
Basing the testing and regulatory criteria on the content of the vapor not the...
WOW!!!
WOW!!!!!!!
Unlike you, I found it to be a shockingly reasonable and well fashioned response.
I don't trust it at all... but it appears they are first pushing for the FDA to not do anything to remove products from the market, but if they must, then at least do as little damage as...
Pops and Crackles are normal... and make a seasoned vaper smile ;)
Some browning is not abnormal.
HOWEVER, if you taste burnt, that's an issue. Don't vape burned cotton.
And don't ask how you'll know if it tastes burnt... you'll know.
So I was browsing, the comments posted to regulations.gov
I am stunned by the number of comments by vapers that don't seem to understand the products they use, the terminology related to those products, or the proposed regulations themselves.
but for the sake of keeping this post short, I'll...
How on earth could the agency legitimately read and honestly consider all 70,000+ comments, by next summer?
Especially the ones with attachments or references to studies.
