OK, now that you mention the "screwdriver cut," it all starts to make sense! Thanks, Imeo, for the explanation ... sorry to be so dense!

Well. that's kind of the impression I got too, but that's where the confusion sets in ... I thought the center ceramic nut was to hold the ceramic in place in the housing; if it is tightened down properly to secure the ceramic in the housing, how can you loosen/tighten it to align the air holes?

Love the notches on the center post positive connection flange; should be much easier to make a secure connection there that won't slip. Brilliant idea. Where I'm getting a little lost is on the two holes in the ceramic nut ... I'm not sure what's going on there. I've watched the video twice...

Looking for suggestion on better way to attach silver wire to nichrome wire

@subver ... if you are interested in a video demonstration of those sterling silver crimp beads, Dave Dorn of VapourTrails had a good segment on it. The segment on the crimp beads starts at about 25 minutes in ...

Imeo's slogan is "I will satisfy every vaper out there.", not "I will satisfy every wealthy vaper out there." Much as we might like to, there are some of us GG fans that cannot afford to be exclusively GG. I will own as much of Imeo's work as I possibly can, and I am very grateful that he makes...

Looking for suggestion on better way to attach silver wire to nichrome wire

They can be fiddly, but they do work and they make about as small a junction as a good, tight manual twist. I had good results with them, but now that I've finally learned how to do good junctions manually I don't use them any more. Some folks swear by them though, others just swear at them ...

Looking for suggestion on better way to attach silver wire to nichrome wire

I think what you're referring to are sterling silver crimp beads, which you can find in the jewelry-making section of craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Look for the 1mm size ... also look for the little crimp pliers; attaching these correctly is a two-step crimp, and the little pliers...

And the best clearomizer is... Kanger T3 (PBusardo)

My experience is just the opposite ... the VNs have been very solid performers for me, they are simple to rebuild, and I've never had a tank crack or leak or anything. Of course, I don't vape any of the flavors that tend to crack and craze some plastic tanks (e.g., cinnamons, etc.), so YMMV.

safe to use RBA on mechanical mod?

I can understand the Vmax hitting hotter, but the Vamo should be pretty solid if it's the latest version ... I'm not familiar with the Cobra (that's a SS mesh atty, yes?), so I don't know how pulse width modulation (PWM) might affect it. Perhaps one of the Cobra threads might give you a hint?

safe to use RBA on mechanical mod?

Are you using protected batteries? Are you checking your RBA with a meter before using on your mech mod? Are you wrapping your coils at less than 1.5Ω? In general, I don't like to run mechanical mods with NO protection, and certainly not with stacked batteries (which is probably not an issue...

Aga-T wick length and coil wraps?

OK, I have an AGA-T on the way and I'm trying to soak up as much genesis coil knowledge as possible since this will be my first mesh wick atomizer. One thing I don't understand is why everyone seems to use really thick wire (e.g., 28-30 gauge) and shoot for really low resistance coils (e.g...

Vision Eternity Rebuildable Atomizer Video Review (LordDavon)

Maybe I've just been lucky so far, but I have two Eternitys—one in drip mode and the other in tank mode—and both are working perfectly. I've re-built both of them at least five times, and no issues at all. I normally fill the dripper with 25-30 drops (more than that and it will leak through the...
