India vape ban will hurt Chinese vape companies

This video does a very good job of briefing us on what we need to know about the India ban. 42 million vapers (compared to about 10 million in the US) have been huge customers for the same Chinese products we buy. This hurts those companies and will effect us.

    So What?

The number doing DIY could change depending on what governments do. It would be interesting to know if nic sellers have noticed any up tick in orders. I also haven't noticed the Federal government saying anything about nic sellers and offshore hardware or even flavoring products. If they...

    So What?

We know what Governor Cuomo will say, SO WHAT!? The way these businesses have been treated damages the reputation of the state.

    So What?

I compare what I spent for years on cigs in Michigan with what I spend for the replacement, DIY. My experience would be typical and it is what matters. Nearly $3,000 a year is a significant saving. Most of that money went to governments. They want me to go back to paying that so they ban...

Flavor bans pave the way for IQOS

The Michigan vape shop owner in this video eventually menations that he's been approached about carryin IQOS in his shop. I believe IQOS will never be banned no matter how many kids use it if it's paying tobacco taxes.

Hi all, having Anxiety over all the vaping sickness

Vaping is beginning to hurt tobacco tax revenues and it will only get worse unless something is done I believe the motive for the flavor bans is to wreck the vape business to pave the way for IQOS heat-not-burn product which will probably be subject to MSA payments. It is already FDA approved...

    So What?

An eliquid tax can't come close to replacing the tobacco tax. Consider this math. I used to spend $3,000 a year smoking a carton a week. A liter bottle of 100 mg nic will last me 4 years. My cost of ingredients is less than 10 cents a day, under 40 a year. If that bottle of nic were taxed...

    So What?

To justify an emergency order they needed something that appeared to be an emergency, like tainted blackmarket THC that happens to be consumed with a vaporizer. They did some nasty dangerous lying along the way. They are preparing the way for IQOS.

    So What?

I believe the true purpose of the flavor bans are to pave the way for IQOS heat-not-burn which are probably subjec to the master settlement agreement payments. So government gets rid of vaping so they have a product that's practical to tax. These guys are smarter than we think.

Flavor bans pave the way for IQOS

If the IQOS heat-not-burn product is subject to the Master Settlement Agreement payments then may be we know the motivation for the flavor bans. IQOS is already FDA approved, ready to go, and I presume coming very soon to a C Store near you..

    So What?

Retail shops come and go. You would want to find out why. In the best of times vape speciality shops are a shakey business. If the trade survives open systems are going to be found in tobacco shops and legal weed shops so there is more than one kind of product to pay the bills. I would...

    Are you done stocking up?

I'm in Michigan, one of the ground zero places. Stocking has been part of the hobby for me for 4 1/2 of my 5 years vaping. I've tried to be smart about it, especially not wasting money. Keep it simple. Only rebuildable atomizers, mods with replacable batteries and 100 mg nic or higher need...

    Deeming Regulations have been released!!!!

The way the above is worded there is no claim that ecigs are associated with the 200 cases. The flavor bans are a hail mary pass that might miss in court. I believe Trump blundered by injecting himself into the controversy but he triggered a national conversation, finally. There are enough...

New member hello and hardware apocalypse question

Mixing and rebuilding are easy. What's hard is gaining the confidence to realize it's easy. I can't say what you should do. I'll describe what I did. First, I want enough stuff to certainly last 10 years and 20 years if everything works perfectly. Priority one is nic. A liter of 100 mg nic...

I agree with you of course. Those two words are powerful because they are true. The other side has finally said what we've known all along. Let's make sure they never hear the end of it.

    old noobie

at those price points there are many. A good shop should have several to choose from that work well. The important thing starting out is to build confidence. There is less pressure if the first device doesn't cost too much. The retailer won't like that. He wants to sell you something...

    old noobie

Don't be talked into a pricey setup for just starting out. Get something small and simple, under $30. Then you want an eliquid with no less than 12 mg nic. If the shop mixes ask for something with very low flavor percent, bland. Then vape and vape and vape some more. Fill up on nicotine by...

    Will Batteries Be Next?

We're expecting hardware to be restricted next May. I wonder if they can do that if it can also be used for THC, CBD, etc. That's a legal question I can't answer. Whether or not they can or will restrict access to nic is the most interesting question. Fortunately it's inexpensive and has a...
