Yet another outstanding video review, Scott!
And this wonderful device deserves one. I did the best I could using photos in my written review, but nothing can take the place of having it demonstrated.
I do wish you had used a more conventional atomizer, cartomizer, or tank on it to show its...
I'm sorry, Roland.:( Hope my review didn't mislead you. I know I said: "I have used it successfully with...Echo-e cartomizers...." Of course, I also said: "...even those requiring an adapter," but I didn't specify which required an adapter. It does work, but you need to use the 510-to-510...
I have both the ProVape-1 (for over a year) and 14500/14650 NoEgo (one week). The ProVape may be the sturdiest mod ever built and has worked flawlessly, however it is quite heavy and a bit larger than a mod would have to be for a 14500 battery. The NoEgo may be the most beautiful PV in my...
Well, you can hold two of them in lieu of the extra assembled e-cig. As for "flimsy," that may be a matter of personal preference. Mine has withstood the test of a few months time and I like the fact that it is light weight. Others might prefer the traditional Kr8 PCC, which – relative to the...
I love it. True 3.7V. And I've been corresponding with Kurt (a frequent contributor to ECF's Ask The Veterans forum) about it so I know he loves his. Like Boodle, I got mine (chrome) from Hoosier; Kurt got his black one from BreezEsmokes. Both are great suppliers.
I have found that some of my...
I don't know about cigarette pack, but there is a Kr8 PCC that looks like an elegant cigarette case (ala James Bond):
Smokeless Image (VOLT) sells it for $30 ... and NHaler sells it as part of a kit (including one battery and three cartomizers) also for $30.
Thanks, Chinner and JWebb, for the plugs!
FYI: There is an updated and enhanced Version 2 of that WWV guide. I can be found on the same Vaping Guides website as that FAQ answer about HV and LR attys (and volts/ohms/watts/amps stuff).
Well, stay away from the G4's:nah: ... and embrace the Smok Tech Mega Dual Coils:thumb:. Watch pbusardo's outstanding comparative (with the Boge 2.0) video review to learn about the latter. Best price I've seen on them is $9/five-pack from LiteCigUSA.
The Echo-e is not LR. I enjoyed the one...
A PV these days really is two separate pieces: the cartomizer (or atomizer) and the battery that you power it with. Often they are sold separately.
Cartomizer:
Since you don't want "to direct drip every 10 min," I recommend cartomizer rather than atomizer. You could go with an atty/tank...
Kurt has asked me to jump in, but I have nothing to add to Hellen's in-depth answer. She nailed the problem with: "This model has the inverted fittings (Battery has a threaded male post and atomizer has a female threaded end)."
Initially, I provided some speculations, but they were not nearly...
Thanks, dopeh! I think you are right: Many of us do "have eGo batts around." $60 is one of the least expensive ways to get VV – and high-quality VV at that. There is nothing shoddy about this device (unlike some others I have used).
And remember: As an add-on, you can use it not only with one...
Yeah, I really don't know the technical ins and outs of pot stops, but that's what it boils down to for the user: You can turn it from here (3.3V) to here (4.7V).
Actually, I'm having fun with it. To explore further, check out my own review, where I say a little more about that and a lot more about the intended use of the Ego Booster. Lots of pretty pictures.:)
Only you could hold my attention for eight and a half minutes, talking about a drip tip. Yet another commendation for you, Phil.
BTW, glad you went public with your first name. It's been awkward referring to you as P or Mr. Busardo. [You may continue to address me as Mr. DaBoomVape.;-)]
I don't know, springtime. I don't use 901 attys that much, but I just put one on my Bloog and VOLT batteries and it works OK on each. [Notice I say "OK." the voltage of those batteries and resistance of their cartomizers are carefully matched. For me at least, a regular resistance 901 needs...
I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work with your Omega (probably with that 510-to-510 extension adapter, which teabagger mentioned). The critical thing for the Ego Booster on mods is very high mAh (e.g., 18650) and/or IMR batteries. It works fine on both my 18650 NoEgo and ProVape-1...
Thanks folks!
Hope my enthusiasm for this unique device didn't come off as some paid advertisement ... because it was not.
I think you nailed its market (or, at least, a significant portion of it), vapspaz. Some vapers are into minis and superminis ... some into mods ... and a great many into...
FYI: I just posted my review of the Ego Booster in ECF's E-Cigarette Mods Reviews forum. I link to it here because I think that visitors to to HappyVaper's forum also might be interested. [And although I am independent of Artisan Vaping or Happy Vaper it is a pretty positive review, so I...
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Brian Matthews of Artisan Vaping in Canada about beta testing a hush-hush vaping device. After signing a confidentiality agreement, I was told that it was to be called the “Ego Booster” and what that meant.
Then – because of a postal worker strike north...
