No problem, guys. Again, I'm glad I could express this issue and then follow it up (also, again, thanks to Thom at White Stag for sending me the new unit to test). I just want to help make sure that as many people as possible are satisfied, away from cigarettes and doing this thing as safely...
well
Sometimes the 306 will start to get a burnt taste to it (the 510 will do this, too) and that's usually because the wick at the top is burning up, I believe. De-bridging the atomizer removes that burning taste and seems to increase the vapor output and throat hit.
At least that's my...
So, Thom from White Stag sent me a white Lea so I could test the battery issue. I got it, tested it and while it seems that it's sometimes more difficult to get the issue to occur it does still happen.
And when I put a 510 LR carto in, it lit right up on 3 button presses.
Now, I know some...
See what I did there?
So I've gotten heaps of requests to do a video about electrical theory and the application of Ohm's law, multimeters, etc...in the world of electronic cigarettes.
I sat down, this evening, and put something together for everyone...
Now, when I say "everyone", I...
Everyone knows dogs are tough enough to withstand explosions ;)
Yes, what you're describing CAN ruin the atomizer because if the body, inside, comes up to far it can break the contact wires inside the tube. They're teensy little things.
I put this in the general forum, as well, because it doesn't seem like this one gets a lot of use and I have been asked who to do this by lots of people.
306 first, then 510!
Be warned : I am not responsible for any damage you may do to your atomizers or devices or any bodily injury you may...
I know more than one of these has been done for the 306 but I figured I'd include my take on that part of it. Also included, de-bridging 510 atomizers!
Happy vaping all!
Be warned : I am not responsible for any damage you may do to your atomizers or devices or any bodily injury you may...
Oh, I could certainly be overstating the potential risks of this device but...
Think about the first person who got burned to death because they fell asleep with a lit cigarette in their hand...I'm sure people didn't think it was possible, then.
It may never happen...I pray to god it doesn't...
You make a good point. Unfortunately, there are no batch numbers and, without those, even if they know what distributor you got the device from it is impossible to know which batch it came from...for a number of reasons, such as
Their warehouse time
Shipping time to the distributor
Shelf time...
Some of the reviewers you find on YouTube are legit, honest people. The best thing you can do is look for reviews that have a lot of good comments from people thanking the reviewer or expressing trust for the person. The more people, the better. That's a good way to sort the wheat from the...
no, you're right. I did a video recently where I held 2 bits of doorbell wire to the ends of a battery and took a nice vape off a 306 atomizer. Lots of vapor, great throat hit. I should market that.
Thanks for the info, Sense. That makes 3 reports of this, now. The new unit is on its way to me, now and when it gets here we'll see what happens with it.
eh...that's one of the hazards of the internet and forums. can't hear tone.
I see that one of the people in your thread posted they've had the same thing happen once. This tells me it's not an isolated incident and is definitely something users should be aware of.
I have another Lea on the way...
I actually kinda stumbled across the issue while doing my review and then, when I thought about it, it hit me how serious that could be. Once that happened, I had to reproduce it so I could tell if it was a 1-time fluke or an actual issue. Once I saw that it could be reproduced at will, and...
