Here is my wick - works every time with cotton
Remember too much cotton cause It to wick and saturate and STAY places that it shouldn't - too much on the deck and it won't move up to the coil
Just my experience and IMO - ignore if you wish :-)
Received mine yesterday - perfect threading and no stripped screws thank god - 1.0 micro 28 gauge and the pos/neg screws are annoying and will be replaced soon by me as someone else said above me. Haven't had any wicking issues - I set up my deck just like the instructions (google kayfun lite...
ITEo - you are the man
Here is mine
I have this puppy 1mm away from the air hole so with the cap on it's spewing vapor
It's hard to see with iPhone cam - but I only allowed one side open and the other is cover in cotton - when I fire it / I get a nice long stream of vapor going horizontal...
I did complete the horizontal built (search vapedivr on youtube) and i did about 10 wraps of 28 gauge for 1 ohm. After squeezing the coils the long leg doesnt glow but i'm sure there is heat coming off it. what i did was make sure that cotton was resting on the leg also so that when re-wets...
My question is can it be done horizontal for a genny such as an rsst . I know it can for a dripper but since the head signature is hottest in the middle of the coil - even went tilting it would heat the bottom middle but not the too middle if that makes sense (the coil area not facing the wick...
Guys I have tons of parts that I don't need anymore since I switched over to kayfuns and micro-cotton gennies . What's the best way to list these parts? In the classified and list them as individual parts ?
Or do I list them as a package
type deal ?
Thoughts ?
Guys I know this has been answered before but I just want to confirm .
I broke the clear section on the ithaka on a 2 foot fall onto carpet (it fell top heavy so the pressure snapped the thread section right off the rest of the plastic . Will an authentic ithaka plastic fit ? And are there...
I use 100% vg net tobacco menthol from a great vendor and use basic feeding and juice control on rolled cotton boil wick and it's perfect .
Mp shows about 2mm of the channels and I love it. So yes 100% vg can be done
So I just need to purchase another ithaka clear window from Cov or something ?
In the description it says long mode term c or ithaka and doesn't specify I need to do that - would be nice if they did ya know
As always DW to the rescue ! Can you explain the extra window/tank part ? Do I need to purchase another piece for the herc ?
So if I bought that it won't fit out of the box?
I'm coming back to report that I was able to work out my shorting issues and follows dw's advice and got 2 plastic washers - one is above the metal gear on the post to separate the metals from touching and the other goes below the washer to stop it from warping . All problems solved
Now onto...
Sorry for the bad arrow - did it on phone but it's not the large plastic nut that I'm missing - it's the plastic circle washer above the metal gear in the post
Lol I swear I never thought I'd have issues like this - now the thing is shorting out somewhere and getting hot as hell. Either wires are touching inside or Something is loose - I can't win .
I put it on 3 mech mods hoping it was the mod and each one got burning hot .
Gonna rebuild again...
My problem is if I tighten the ceramic housing (rebuildable part) too tight into the base - either the oring is flattening out so much that the pos wire is moving - or the center pole is pushed in so hard that it's touching the ceramic housing and shorting out . When I first took it apart I lost...
Edit - I think the reason is the fact that
On the very first day I broke a piece of the ceramic - and part of the coil was touching the metal . If that side of the coil was the negative it would work but if by chance I used that side as positive / well it was touching the metal instead of all...
Guys I need your help with something that's driving me nuts .
Based on previous conversations via PM and on here I took suggestions for the washer on the pos post and also put a piece of rubber from a cartomizer (sliced in half so it's thin ) and used that between the post and the bottom of...
You know what - vent and blabber time - i have enough sleepless nights with 10 month old twins sucking the life out of me - I'm sick and tired of spending 2 hours to get a decent build only to feel it wasn't as good as the last one
I end up smoking a cig while building coils cause I'm so...
You guys are gonna think I'm crazy but after this last build / 2x 2.0 ohm coils I don't feel it's pushing max vape . I checked for shorts and checked resistance but it doesn't feel like it's getting at full 4 volts on my chi you clone .
I have and igo L and trident and it's easy to test voltage...
Perfect idea - thanks DW - so far it's working ok now that I stopped over tightening - but I'll go to Home Depot tomorrow and look for some nylon washers - no wall anchors right now - but it won't stop me from searching the man cave just in case I threw one In a drawer somewhere
