Lol I swear I never thought I'd have issues like this - now the thing is shorting out somewhere and getting hot as hell. Either wires are touching inside or Something is loose - I can't win .

I put it on 3 mech mods hoping it was the mod and each one got burning hot .

Gonna rebuild again (bangs head against wall)

You really need the nut. you are not getting a decent Ground with things flexing around.

Sorry for the bad arrow - did it on phone but it's not the large plastic nut that I'm missing - it's the plastic circle washer above the metal gear in the post

About $90, might as well just get a KFL,
or wait for the cloned part because it will follow soon if demand vs supply is off enough

Yep, I just thought it was interesting considering his long line of NR-R-NR attys. If a cloned part came out, I would definitely grab one for my current Herc. Certainly not worth dropping 90 on the part, I picked up a really good 3.1 ES clone for $21.

still waiting for mine to show acceptance at HKP as it was packaged a couple of days ago.

I think you're gonna like it, the only fault I can find (really nitpicking now) is the air flow control screw is a hair too small, but can easily be fixed with a tiny piece of plumber's tape or similar

Have you a pic and link to the one you bought? I've seen maybe two around $20, and I've HEARD they are well made.

I'm coming back to report that I was able to work out my shorting issues and follows dw's advice and got 2 plastic washers - one is above the metal gear on the post to separate the metals from touching and the other goes below the washer to stop it from warping . All problems solved

Now onto another avoidance - I can't see through this drip tip/Mp as good as the ody since this one is layered but I have a bad issue with always looking down to see if I can see any red coils . Some people put their devices to their ear - others like to inhale without firing first - well my ritual is looking down the MP and firing everything I have a vape break. If I see no red I'm happy and vape away - but recently I've been seeing red coils so I have to drop a few drops down the MP to get it started then it's fine and it starts all ofer again when I go to vape 45 min later

I have autofeed on - assembly nut is
Open to drain . 1 single coil at 1.2 ohms - 2 wicks so the coil is wrapped around both and they go down the channels .

Wicks are 3mm with 1 or 2 strands taken away . Maybe my wick is dried out? Or too thick for the channels which slows wicking ? I've seen some videos and posts from imeo that state him saying he used 2mm and even 1.5 mm wick / is that right ?

Maybe more room in the channels is a good thing ?

I used to have this prob with my term too. After I get a great build I usually end up with dry coils and have to start all over again .

I used ekowool as well and for me - that stuff was like trying to put eliquid on tree bark - didn't absorb or wick at all for me ? What about this xc-116 stuff ? Tomorrow I'll go get some peaches and creme yarn and see how that goes - also I use cotton balls for all my dripper wicks but I don't think I can make good long cotton ball strands for the herc - anyone tried that ?

Wow I asked about 30 questions in one post but anyone shout it out if you only even have 1 answer or have tried something that I should try .

Bishop heals - the fanboy of the century (jk I know him and he's a cool guy but nuts ) says that we need to re charge silica when we get it delivered. 5 min in microwave in a coffee cup of water - then wrap in paper towel and do another 2 min in microwave ? Maybe I'll try that

Just ordered 30 feet of 2 mm silica from FT - good reviews - hopefully that wick will be better .

Ok done yapping / but let me say this - when it does hit well and the wick is saturated - it's amazing .

But damn these NR - R - NR type builds need to go away. Kayfun lite clone on Ft is sold out unfortunately
