I got a phantom mech today it comes with both style tops I have safe RDAS to use but I'm hesitant to use the hybrid I know there more dangerous but do they make it "hit" harder or is there no real difference just preference?

I got a mod and batterys in a trade today when I got home I looked and the top of the batterys is pushed in a little bit it's like he cranked a mechmod to hard on it and the 510 smooched it are they still safe to use if I'm using purely regulated there vtc6 18650s
