That's interesting about the soapy taste some have experienced. I wiped clean my HV i06 before ever using it (before putting on the i06 DTip)...and come to think of it, now I remember scraping off a whitish film from the upper edge of the i06 with my finger-nail as I was wiping it off with...

I'm new to atties too, but after trying out several of IKV atties they've all worked like a dream right out of the box (HV i06 3.5ohm, as well as LR & HV 510's and LR & HV 901's all in 1.8ohm, 2.5ohm, 3.5ohm, and the new 1.5ohm 510 XLR as well). My 1st experience with an atty (a LR SmokTech)...

After Switcher explained how he drilled through it to bore it out some, I was uncertain if I'd just over-do it and mess up my only good i06 Tip with my drill even at slow speeds (someone also said the wall is very thin where it narrows). So I thought I'd try a sanding rod first, and it...
