#5879 is the best of the bunch (IMHO . . . yo?), mainly in that the figure wraps around the edges too. Many of the others don't feature the "pomelle" pattern on the edges. So, by the time I shape it into an ellipsoid, a lot of the figure will "fade" as it approaches the nose and spine of the
mod. If anyone's looking at that Pomelle Bubinga . . . . that'd be the one I'd pick. Generally speaking, I've found the Bubinga to be very good material for a
mod, structurally.
I made one mod from the Waterfall Bubinga that Arnold has here (there's more of that still too). Was very happy with the results. Mind you, the Waterfall doesn't have the intricate figure that this pomelle does. The large wavy patterns in the Waterfall get lost to the wee-ness of the mod. Nonetheless, here's that example.
