I have a handful of silly little salty updates; none of which is worth posting as a single item.
In conglomerate tho, perhaps still not worth mentioning.
But, what the heck . . .

Indeedy, this stuff'll kill a coil pretty darn quick. Odd, tho, because it's not necessarily a gunky, burny, buildup that ruins flavor. Rather, it's a thin, subtle coat on the coil that plummets the performance. I think part of my anemic vapes on the 29 gauge coils was about this, and i didn't have the track time yet to identify it. The 28g contact coils are still way better for me; but they go whimpy after maybe 2 days of vaping. I can dry burn once; but feel the need to just rebuild the coil within the next twenny-fo'.

Flavoring agents play a similar role as they might with freebase. Meaning to say, some flavors contribute heavily to coil compromise, and others give me much more vape time and the coil fades slowly.

I, so far, would casually observe (so, haven't compared with mega-scrutiny) that any/all of the 3 varieties of salts I've got are about equal in their effect on coil life. (my own mix, the sto'-bot juices, and the NN signature base)

I'm really enjoying the high-nic t-puff vapes, and have been doing that exclusively since forever now (in vape time . . .. same vape time in which Doffy's new mod wouldn't appear as a cinder block suffering from giantism 6 months ago).
I tried a high nic freebase mix again a few days ago. I just wanted to be sure that my initial impressions were legit. I mixed up a little batch of freebase juice (flavored) @36mg, and found it to be wretchedly disgusting (or so my now-spoiled, princess n' pea, ol' salty the sea dog new sensitivities done did perceive). Not simply too strong a throat hit; but just an overall wire-bristle body experience.

I did, finally, find the time to vape the pod to where it was starting to taste burnt, and then swapped in some unflavored juice. I wouldn't necessarily say that it cleaned that wick'n'coil right up; but it did chill down the hints of burnt taste, and I'm finding it to be a pleasant way to keep using the pod. I'm pretty sure it'll fly (nicely, pleasantly) for at least one full cycle (so, one bonus pod refill). Will report back if it's more than just one. I think it will continue (this pod system) to serve as a great on-the-go/jobsite or stealth-situation device; but, of course, I get much more satisfaction out of my squonky adaptations. :)

also . . . I haven't been vaping the pod system regularly enough to make a confident assertion; but it does seem to me like coil life is a lot better there. IDK if it's because it's Nichrome, or maybe the super-compact chamber and airflow pattern . .. . . IDK; but coil performance is not the issue that seems to kill a pod. More of a good-ol'-fashioned burny-tasting gunk thing.
My experience, tho, is limited and sketchy, and irregular . . . so . . . [shrugs] . .. take it with a grain of ol' salt nic.

. . . something for the sciency-minded to consider.
