Finally started new med, am currently on low therapeutic dose and re-evaluate next appointment with doctor of medicine

With some improvement, beginning to plan for the non medication stuff

I don't know if I am ready. But I can opt out

Case manager is researching the right support to help in some way with communication at home. Last appointment with Dr Maria, I talked about how mum not wearing the voice processor clip on her implant. And neither of us speaking sign language

And going to allow a psychologist (aka talk therapist) to audition for the part. But not committing to anything

Today the unthinkable happened. I was clearing undergrowth and deadfall from a section of woods around our cabin in the Blue Ridge and somehow lost my walnut pinch in the process. I didn't realized it because I often keep it in the cup holder of the SxS I was using to haul deadfall back to the fire pit. But when I went to have a vape.. Nope, it's wasn't there and I knew I'd brought it with me. But on the off chance that I hadn't, I went back to the house and checked my desk. Green pinch? Check. Brass CC? Check. Walnut pinch? Nope. I really must have lost it in the woods.

This isn't a thing. In 8-1/2 years, I've never lost a mod.

I suppose i must have appeared somewhat distraught at that point, 'cause my wife asked me what was the matter. Told her, "I think I lost my walnut pinch out in the woods." She, a never smoker and never vaper, without any hesitation said, "I'll come out and help you look for it." I think I'll keep her.

I should have taken a picture of the "floor" of the woods I this happened in. It's all basically the same color as the walnut pinch, so it wasn't easy, but after roughly half an hour of searching, we found it!

So this is part of the area I was working on clearing yesterday. The line of undergrowth you see in the background used to come right up to the green grass you see in the foreground.

In order to avoid additional stress and make my pinch easier to find should this happen again, I've made a temporary mod to it that dramatically increases its visibility in this environment:

That's stretchy, but non-sticky surveyor's ribbon. @TamiPac would probably approve of the color.

Just curious because My island property looks pretty similar to that right now. What equipment did you use to tackle that job?

I've been eyeing a tractor with a brush hog for the island. My neighbor has 4 good size Kabota's and is loosing interest over time. I'm curious if he would part with one for a reasonable offer. :nun:

Looks like you may have sticks and small logs in the mix there?

OH, and I was relieved that you found your pinch. Like Peter, my heart dropped at the beginning of that story. And your wife is definitely a keeper.

MSW knows what my dibi's mean to me but I'm not sure if she would have done the same. She's also not really a fan of my vaping but has a saint like patience and understanding of my joy for the hobby. 25yrs of joy - not sure where that time went. There must have been some fun along the way.
