either that, or they're just smarter than cats.
@TamiPacThey arrived today. Based strictly on appearance, I think they are genuine. However, the packaging strikes me as sketchy:
Also, if I'm interpreting the AH30 date code correctly, these were either made on August 30th, 1992 (obviously implausible) or on August 30th, 2018, which would make then darn near four years old!
Capacity and IR testing will have to wait until I get back down to FL next month.
@TamiPac did you get yours yet? If so, post some pics please.
Mine seem to be functioning properly but we'll see how long they last.@TamiPac
So I finally got around to testing two of these. I do believe they are genuine. I have some older, but unused VTC6 cells that came from a one of the better known, trusted vendors (but I don't recall which one). AC/IR is just about the same at around 13 mΩ. Capacity is just slightly better, which would would be expected for newer cells. But what really convinces is that the shape of the discharge curves are the same. I've come to realize the shape of this curve, including the minor bumps and such is almost like a dna test for unused cells. Here's all four; the older ones were made in September of 2016, so they're pushing 6 years old:
Sadly, I'm still not sure abut the date codes on these. Even Mooch isn't certain.
That turned out nice!I should feel accomplished, but don't
