Is the Stumpy the one with the really thin bottom? I forget. Was having a PM convo with someone regarding that. One of those similar atties has left very little SS on the bottom of the well, so as to look cool. Problem is, intense/abnormal heat transfer and wood mods . .. not good friends.

what SS are you using? 304, 316,317 & 430 are all popular with temp control and even the same grades differ from each other depending on manufacturer/distributor, all having slightly different tcr's
I'm using 316L from Kidney Puncher.
