Okey dokey. I didn't get pics of the Reo, but was able to see this request before tossing the battery. Just couldn't post reliably yesterday (WiFi's on its death bed).

Oops. Thought I'd scaled them down last night.

I've been feeling the itch to get one of those. Didja have to register it? Not sure if it went through, but I seem to recall some agency trying to get control of the drones (FAA? Secret Service? DEA? NGA? ...)

Yeah, You have to register it with the FAA if it weighs more than .55 lbs. It was really easy to do online. I got a Phantom 3 Standard. It's super easy to fly (auto take off and landing) and if you exceed the range of the controller, it automatically returns to your home point (which is established each time you fire it up). I've managed to avoid crashing into trees and power lines (so far) and the only casualties have been a couple of flying insects [emoji3]

I know there was a big uproar, in San Francisco I believe, something about the life flight helicopters not being able to get to someone because of drones trying to see what was going on hence the effort to control them. Now I admit it would seriously suck to be the person needing the life flight and not be able to get it but why can't they just shoot down the offending drones instead of regulating all the people who aren't a problem? Big brother just can't seem to grasp the fact that azz holes will do as they please never mind making it illegal.

On another note when I converted to squonking a couple of months ago or so @Papa Lazarou told me that I should kiss my old gear goodbye and that I was forever ruined for my other mods and atties. Last night I dug out my SX mini and one of my Rose V2 RTAs and tried to prove him wrong.

I failed!!...just a couple of pulls and that was that..took off the battery and tossed the SX back in its box and reached out for my first Reo with the RM2 on top with an apologetic smile.
