It is not a polished finish. It is "as machined", but to a very fine degree/spec.
We had some discussion about it in the previous thread (machining/surfacing specs and whatnot). But that's a search . .. .
Square root of 16 finish.
But engineering drawings are American to me. It's finer than brushed, but not as fine as unicorn bumfluff.
